I visited for breakfast, and went pretty simple - the Bistro Breakfast with two eggs (over medium), sausage, potatoes, and toast. I was also tempted by perhaps the most gorgeous croissants I've ever seen in a basket on the counter, so I got one of them as well. The eggs, while nothing fancy, were very well executed. I was pleasantly surprised by the potatoes. I might have expected home fries or hash browns, but these were roasted potatoes, the kind one might serve with dinner. It was different but welcome. And the croissant? it tasted every bit as good as it looked, and I've daydreamed on more than one occasion about making a slight trip out of my way for that reason alone. The decor and seating options come in three phases: There's outside seating, and the patio seemed nice enough, even if your vista would be the shopping center parking lot. Indoors, there are reasonably few restaurant style tables, and the rest of the place could very well be a study, with leather couches and low tables. I wish this place were around the corner from my house. It has a sophisticated yet relaxed vibe that is very inviting. It's part coffee house, part wine bar, and from my initial experience a very capable bistro. My family and I stopped in for brunch yesterday and greatly enjoyed the breakfast items we ordered. I had a Mediterranean omelet which contained black olives, peppers, onions, spinach, basil, and feta. Could have used a little more feta for my taste buds but was otherwise satisfying. The dish included possibly some of the best roasted potatoes I've ever tasted, cooked and spiced to perfection. My Mother ordered the Croque Monseiur which was also prepared beautifully and full of flavor. The rest of the family enjoyed a veggie pasta dish which was also a winner. This is one of the more versatile eateries in the area, I understand they also have live music on a regular basis. We will definitely be back for evening dining and hope that someone comes up with a similar idea for north Greensboro, this seems like a great 40-something hangout. read more

Very surprising to find this in An Oak Ridge shopping center (Hwy 150 & 68, by Lowes Food) order at the counter in this small space with 3 seating areas, one being outdoors. Food is quite good and includes breakfast ., til 2pm, lunch and dinner. This would be a very good place to take your Mom or meet clients and prospects. Soup and sandwich was fresh and flavorful. This place does a good job of making you forget you are in a suburban strip shopping center. Inside, if you don't look toward the entrance, it feels like an urban renovation. The food is good, though we had one objection that the beef medallions were a cheap cut and while ordered as medium rare came in as seared but mostly very rare. Terrible and slow service. Took about 45 minutes for our food to come out wrong. We saw the people that ordered before us have to carry their food back up as well. We also saw them try to give the wrong food to 2 different tables. We ordered flat bread pizza for my son and specifically asked if it was just pizza sauce and cheese. They said yes and then when we got it, it was cheese and tomatoes and pesto. An expensive waste that our son refused to eat. My husband ordered steak and eggs which was supposed to come with potatoes and toast. There was no toast or potatoes and we had to send back to add. I ordered the steak sandwich without bread (bc I can't eat gluten) and it came out a tiny piece of meat on a few pieces of spinach. All this food was highly overpriced ($42) and not even good. Will definitely not be going back and I would give zero stars if that was an option. read more

Bistro 150 is a cafe, not a restaurant. It is a great place to get some coffee or grab a glass of wine with a friend, maybe some dessert or a pastry, but not to have a meal. My husband and I went here thinking we would give a local place a try for our lunch date. Walking in I was surprised with the atmosphere. It was very confusing, pieced together decor. We placed our order with the older gentleman behind the counter. He wasn't overly welcoming but I can overlook that. He asked us where we were sitting and we said we would be in the back. He came and brought us our drinks and that was the last time we were brought anything for the next 45 minutes. Several other families came in after us and got their food, ate, and left. When my husbands food finally came out it was of course wrong. He says it was actually a very good cheesesteak but the salad dressing was awful. Of course my food still hadn't arrived at this point. So after waiting another 10 minutes I decided to try and get my money back. As soon as I get to the counter they were bringing my order out. So I told them just to put it in a to go box. I didn't realize it took an hour to make a club sandwich and put some soup in a bowl. Needless to say we will not be returning. The food was ok but not worth the $30 and hour long wait. read more

I ordered the Cesar salad as my side and the romaine was a bit limp and past its prime. There are not many options in the oak ridge area and this place is my favorite. Bistro 150 is a quaint eating establishment in the middle of Oak Ridge. My brother had been there several times before me and raved about the food there, so I knew that I had to stop by and try it out. Bistro 150 is not a big place, but I mean that in the best way. It is very intimate, and comparable to something like a coffee shop. The difference here is, they have really exquisite food! I have had both a steak sandwich from there and a shrimp and spinach wrap from Bistro and both have been incredible. The service is also very good, and it is a place that I frequent often. Visited last night as a family group with my bf's family. We all really enjoyed our food and had a wonderful time. The surprise was that the Asian lady came out from behind the counter, took our drink and dinner orders, then brought the food to the table. My bf's Mom had the salmon, she thoroughly enjoyed it, even scraping up the last couple of bites of potato to take home with her hubby's leftover veggies. Very good food, especially the breakfast and brunch. The service is good but the place is very dark and small. I think the whole dark/small place is part of the French style but I would love to see more light there. On summer/spring you can seat outside, which is very nice. It is probably the best good quality food option in the area (all the other restaurants in the area are a disaster). They have very good coffee, European strong one.
