Love this little local bistro in Oak Ridge. Food is freshly made and very consistent. Friendly owners!! The locals eat here kind of place. It could use a refresh in decor and more menu changes. Love the outdoor seating.

Bacon,Sausage and Cheddar omelette with potatoes

Our first time eating here, the vibe seemed more like a bar that serves food. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We ordered the Sausage, Bacon and Cheddar Omelette with potatoes. The omelette was good and the potatoes were great. The sausage in the omelette didn't taste like sausage you fix at home. It wasn't bad but it did remind me of McDonald's sausage patty cut in fours.

I went for Sunday lunch. There are two dining options - inside or on the patio. The menus are at the counter and you place your order there. I selected the CUBANO - pulled pork, ham, salami w/diced pickles, spicy brown mustard & Swiss - with roasted potatoes as my side. My meal was delivered with a minimal wait. The Cubano sandwich was delicious, and I thought the roasted potatoes were a nice alternative to the typical french fries that most places offer. Staff was professionally attired, polite, and efficient.

Decent place. Friendly staff but the interior seemed neglected. Food selections are limited but tasty for the most part. Service was slow and they seemed way understaffed for a Friday night. I had a bbq teriyaki glazed salmon on a cauliflower cake and veggies. I had them cook my salmon medium and it was delicious. The veggies were good but that cauliflower cake was just bland. No seasoning, seemed like the cauliflower was over cooked and the binder was undercooked. Others in my group gift the same dish and mentioned the same. Most didn't eat the cake. Wine list was nice but limited they had a stage for live music (just not tonight). Drinks served in solo cups except for wine. Not much to write home about. I'm glD I experienced it but I'd probably pass next time.

Bistro panini with Turkey and a side salad (house dressing)

Place appeared to be packed last night. We went to another bar in the same shopping center and ordered take out. The food ingredients were fresh. I hope to check out the place in the near future.

Citrus Shrimp Wrap-awesome group of flavors!

Stopped off here for lunch. Not many options in this area for lunch. This was a good choice! My daughter ordered a White Mocha Latte with Soy & Carmel drizzled on top and I ordered a Chia Tea latte with soy. Both were hot, creamy, and full of flavor-not watered down! For lunch, I had the Citrus Shrimp Wrap! The spinach was crisp and refreshing-there was plenty of shrimp-the sun dried tomatoes were heavenly-there was just the right amount of goat cheese-and the hint of dressing was super good! The wrap was warmed to a golden brown. It was amazing! My daughter ordered the Bistro Panini with chicken. There was thick Smokey bacon and plenty of chicken. It is a hearty sandwich!!!! We both ordered the side salad which had plenty of tomato and mushrooms. The dressing was a fun, homemade Italian and vinegar dressing. The vibe here is great too! Super friendly staff! We will be back! MOST SINCERELY, Dayla

Wanted to try something healthy and new and found this place not too far away and it was certainly worth the drive. Fresh, great flavors and bigger portions made me want to plan a next visit for sure!

How about some CBD oil with your lunch!

I'm wavering between two and three stars here but I'll be kind and go with three. Upon entering, the first thing I noticed was clutter. Every surface had a knick knack of some sort just taking up space. I really hate clutter so I was immediately turned off by the atmosphere. It's a long narrow space so not much natural light comes in, even on a sunny day. Dark and dreary describes it. You order at the counter and they bring you your food. I had looked over the menu before going so was familiar with the lunch offerings. I decided to splurge and get the filet medallions sandwich with lettuce, tomato and horseradish mayo. I chose the roasted potatoes as my side. After a ten minute wait, my food was delivered by the owner who was a friendly and energetic woman, very sweet. I was anticipating my first bite but the meat was so tough, I couldn't really bite into it. The sandwich fell apart and I was left with two small pieces of filet, a slice of unripened tomato, one piece of romaine that had seen better days and a soggy bun that literally turned to mush when I tried to eat it. I had trouble cutting the filet with a steak knife. It was cooked medium rare as requested but had no seasoning whatsoever. The potatoes were okay, I've had better, ketchup helped. The horseradish mayo was nice and spicy so that helped the filet go down a little easier. I had water to drink and my check was $15. Not an inexpensive lunch and not one I'd repeat.

Almost the size of my thumb

We've wanted…read moreto return for some time, but are very rarely in the area, so when were there recently, and saw they were open, we decided to stop in and grab a dozen bagels. It's a very relaxed atmosphere, and the staff were very friendly, welcoming us in enthusiastically as we walked in. It was a bit after lunch on a Sunday, so their selection was pretty picked over, but we bought a mixed dozen with the intent of freezing some and enjoying some that week for breakfasts. Normally, if you get their early enough, it appears they carry a great selection of bagels, but also sandwiches, and various flavors of cream cheese. We've only had a few of the bagels so far, but have enjoyed each we've tried. They do freeze really well, and keep their flavor! If you're looking for authentic NY bagels, this place is one you should check out!

The everything bagel looks nicely toasted with a good distribution of seasoning. Inside, there's a generous amount of sliced meat (it looks like salami or pepperoni), fresh greens, tomato, and a solid slice of cheese that gives the sandwich some nice structure. Everything appears vibrant, fresh, and not overly greasy. What I liked most is that it looks well-built--not one of those sandwiches that fall apart the second you pick it up. The portion size also seems perfect for a quick but satisfying lunch. If you're into deli-style sandwiches with good flavor contrast and a hearty bite, the Vinnie bagel sandwich is definitely worth trying. A little more sauce or spread could take it to the next level, but overall it's a tasty, well-balanced option.

I've been hearing good things about this place but the menu looked simple so I was hesitant. Well it's easy to say I was very wrong about being iffy when it comes to what we were served. When we walked in we were greeted by a very friendly host who put us at a window seat which was really nice. I love having a view with my meal. The space is also very reminiscent of fine dining with the white table cloths, candles, and flowers on the table. It's also worth saying they have several lunch specials aside from what's on their regular lunch menu. Our server was also a very friendly gentleman who gave great recs when we asked. My friend got the French onion dumplings and she LOVED them. I got the brussel sprouts and with the accompaniment of the goat cheese and dried cranberries, they were probably the best I've ever had. I almost ate all of the huge bowl. I got the chicken sandwich for my meal that was dipped in a hot honey like sauce and it was also great. Very juicy and the ranch I got on the side was a great addition. I also got the truffle fries and they were super yummy. Overall an excellent experience and I'm so excited to come back and try their dinner menu. A must if you're in the Kernersville area!

Service at this Marriott restaurant and at this hotel in general seems to have dropped off a bit…read moresince the last time I was there long enough to eat at Due South. All the servers seemed very disinterested and slow. They ultimately did their jobs correctly but it was hard to get soda refills or ask for condiments, for example. The food was good although during one breakfast the omelet we got was absolutely loaded with onions to the point you could smell it across the table - making it pretty inedible. That weird culinary choice aside, everything was good. Depending on what they're serving that day, the breakfast buffet can be a decent bargain despite it's $18 price tag. The buffet comes with the option of ordering pancakes, waffles, omelets, etc as well as everything that's out - so if you're hungry you can fill up for sure. They also have gluten free toast but you need to ask about it and it can take them a few minutes to prepare it - still it's nice to have available. Dinner is also pretty good, although I wish they were open some more hours during the weekend day.
