Came here on New Years Eve for a nice dinner and it was good! The place is nice a little more upscale than your typical place. Our waitress was great, very friendly and came over just the right amount. We started with the calamari. It was very good but there wasn't a lot so if you're planning to share with more than 2-3 people maybe get two. I got the sea bass special with a Caesar salad. The sea bass was amazing! The risotto that came with it was so delicious as well. After dinner we got a slice of cheesecake to split and that was very good. My only complaint would be we ordered a bottle of Prosecco and you could tell it was not cold before they opened it so that wasn't great but our waitress gave us a chiller for the table. We really, really like this spot in Chesterfield! If you can get seated on the patio, that is definitely the place to be. It is honestly one of the prettiest patios I've seen in our area. The landscaping is gorgeous, there's a waterfall, and the covered portion is absolutely huge. The inside is a-ok, but is pretty corporate feeling & doesn't have near as much personality as the outdoor section. For lunch, the turkey club is fantastic. You also cannot go wrong with the burger for either lunch or dinner. As about their chef specials because those are always very good as well! Make a reservation and go check out the patio. read more

The patio is really beautiful. We visited Bishops Post for a Friday lunch when the weather was nice. What a wonderful setting to enjoy a relaxing lunch and a glass of wine! Bishops Post was something we've been meaning to make the time to try but I'm disappointed to say it seems like another place still affected by Covid - their staff seems to be quite new all around or just not great at their jobs I'm not sure which. The food was okay but nothing that really stood out appart from the mashed potato's which came in a scoop which seemed very industrial and was a big turn off. Was in the restaurant on 6/13/25 and ordered hamburger sliders. I asked if they could cook them well the waitress said no they are all cooked the same. The center was rare. She came over to ask how everything was when I showed her, she looked and walked away not offering to make another, I come to this restaurant at least once a month after living out of town for 2 years, That would have never happened back then. I guess it was the manager dressed with a sport coat jeans and light brown shoes that was to busy catering to the table next to us and ignoring all other tables around him. The seafood trio appetizer was one piece of shrimp wrapped with bacon, one rubbery scallop, and one cake with a tiny bit of crab. All that for $23. We split the Chilean sea bass so that might explain why there was no color whatsoever on the plate aside from two pieces of flavorless asparagus. But for the price, completely unacceptable. We came here with family for the first time. It did not seem to be busy, however the service was very slow. The service was so excruciatingly slow that everything just seemed to be blah after that. First time experiencing the new outdoor patio. Great place to enjoy lunch. Lots of shade with a large covered area and umbrellas. Food was good. I was a little apprehensive to try this place due to some of these reviews on here. However, I'm delighted to report that not only was the food great and the service outstanding, but the ambiance is spectacular. We visited for lunch and had a very sweet server. We asked for her recommendations and landed on the hummus for an appetizer. It was very good. Decided to split a house salad and their special for the day, a chicken pesto sandwich. All of it was very good. We each had two cocktails. My husband had their version of a margarita and I opted for a traditional margarita. Both were very tasty. Then we decided to have some Rosé. My husband had a traditional glass and I opted for the Rosé All Day cocktail from their menu. Again, both were good. Lastly- It should be noted that their ranch dressing is OUTSTANDING!!! So dang good. Can't wait to go back in the evening to see the patio lit up with all their string lights and lanterns. read more

Went here Post-COVID and sat on the patio. Now, it was packed on the patio....to the point I was almost nervous to be out there...even with it being outside...and it was a Wednesday!! They do require reservations for now...I believe it's to maintain social distancing. The only reason they do not have 5 stars is because the patio, although outside, just didn't feel super safe because people were right on top of each other. The food was AWESOME! I forgot to take a picture of the spinach artichoke dip....because I devoured it! It was super creamy and probably the best I have had. The Grilled Salmon was perfect. I got mine well done, but it was still perfectly flaky. I also had some mashed potatoes (random...just wanted some)...it was good as well! I literally have nothing to complain about as far as food. The drinks were really good...but did need slight tweaking. The Black Widow came so strong I thought I might accidentally start dancing on tables......I had to water it down with more blackberry purée...but if you like Don Julio and you aren't as much of a lightweight as I am...this would be your drink! I also got the Fresh Fruit Mojito (why do I always gotta get 2 drinks) that one was a little bitter...but once it was remade..it was perfect. You can definitely taste the differences when the bartender changes!!! Our waitress was so nice...I hate I forgot her name!! She really made the experience even that much better! Bishop's Post in Chesterfield, MO, was pretty awesome. It did not feel like you were in the suburbs. We opted for the outdoor seating, and I must say, it was simply breathtaking. They spared no expense on the outdoor design and landscaping. The gorgeous patio area resembles tranquil countryside, a surprise escape from the nearby mall and suburban surroundings. Our waiter, David, was outstanding in both his professionalism and attentiveness. His incredible knowledge of the menu and wine pairings helped guide us through our meal. We came here today for a date night. This place was recommended by a friend who said this is a wonderful place with delicious food. We decided to seat inside, we were the only people in the dinning room which make it very intimate. Our server was very nice and tried her best with recommendations and knowledge of the menu. We got moscato- delicious, spinach dip- sooo tasty, calamari- so much crunch and flavor. I got farfale pasta with beef. I asked if it was peppery, server said she did not think so but she does like spice. To my taste it was very peppery but tasty. I asked in advance for meat in my pasta to be well done, it was not, it was sent back, 2 pieces were still undercooked, my husband took them. Overall meh for my pasta. My husband got the ribeye steak medium well, it came out rare, the server took it back. It was cooked longer, another person brought it to us, we assumed it was a manager, he called my husband "Brother",which is not ok, since we called him "sir". He asked my husband to cut steak infront of him. It was better cooked this time. My husband said that it had crazy peppery spot by the bone, but the rest tasted better and it was still rare by the bone. It was very inconsistent. For sides he got street corn- loved it, Caesar salad- eh. Overall for my husbands dish was meh. We are glad we tried this place, but we have no plans on coming back. This restaurant has been in business for quite a while and I've wondered about it when I pass by. Today, I decided to try it and was very pleased. The restaurant itself is designed beautifully, well thought out and very pleasing to the eye. The menu, while not extensive had several high notes but I decided to try a special sandwich that consisted of grilled grouper in a Ruben style, exchanging cabbage slaw for the normal Ruben sauerkraut. It was a treat. So, I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, the attentive staff and the ambiance! I will be back and highly recommend this restaurant! read more

Food - 1-2 stars at best. Very average. Caprese salad had no flavor. Tomatoes did not taste home grown as advertised. Tuna entree was massively over cooked and extremely salty. Ice cream dessert was basic ice cream with a cheap poorly tasting strawberry fake drizzle and definitely not home made whipped cream. I'm not a value of very average tasting Blue Bell ice cream. Almond sugary shell for dessert was the only good tasting thing I ate. Back outdoor Mecca of a patio is stunning. A hidden gem of a place. Like a resort with unbelievable landscaping and a gorgeous waterfall. Definitely don't recommend eating here but do recommend spending some time at night on the lovely patio. read more

This is one of our favorite restaurants! We had my wife's 70th birthday celebration there on Sunday and everything was perfect. The service was exceptional and we had a semi private area with a fireplace. I doubt I could have found a nicer setting. I had the seafood appetizer and a bowl of chili. Both were great. Enjoyed the smoked trout, beef tip pasta and meatloaf, wine and whisky...and then received a surprise crème brûlée dessert compliments of th couple we sat by. Called and made reservation for 6. Was asked if it was a special occasion and said it was for our 45th anniversary. Was called the day before our reservation to confirm which we did and was asked if it was a special occasion and I mentioned a second time that it was for our anniversary. Upon arrival we were promptly seated. No acknowledgement or comment that it was an anniversary dinner. Appetizers were very good. Bread excellent. The plates the appetizers came on were cleared but the individual appetizer/bread plates remained throughout dinner. Overall most of the main courses were good. The two halibut seafood specials were fair - the rice was a little too salty and did not have the strawberry flavor as described. The restaurant was not overly busy and it was easy to carry on a conversation. I was not looking for any freebees, only an acknowledgement that we were celebrating our anniversary. For this style of restaurant, I also expect that the staff clears the table without having to be asked to do so. read more

The patio is the best part and we love coming here to dine outside. They do have a two hour time limit on the patio even if you do make a reservation. While I think this is understandable on a busy Friday or Saturday evening, we were never told this upfront. There was nothing listed on our table, the server did not tell us so we were unaware. After we paid our check were finishing our drinks getting ready to go, and one of the hostesses came up to let us know that our time limit of two hours was coming to an end and we had to leave. To say this made us feel unwelcome is an understatement. We did see the manager on the way out and let him know this as well and he agreed it was not handled correctly. Letting people know the expectation on the time limits on the outdoor table should be something that you are told upfront so you know what to expect. We were there to celebrate my birthday and it definitely ended our night on a bad note. We're not sure if we'll be back again. read more

Ambience and atmosphere is great. Food and service is dismal. Pretty sure I just paid $43 for a seafood & mushroom ravioli straight from Restaurant Depot. Not an ounce of this homemade, I assure you. Hawaiian Tuna Poke was severely messed up to the point we asked if it was the right dish. It came back 180 degrees differently prepared and still flimsy for $20. Bread arrived at the table midway through dinner which was incredibly odd. Street corn arrives on the cob which is fine for Mission Taco I guess, but for a plated dinner in an upscale place is strange and kind of not appreciated to be honest. My friends and I were in the area after going to a bridal shower and we wanted to stop by for a few apps and drinks. Since this was last minute, we did not make a reservation for our party of 6. We went to the hostess and she said since we didn't have a reservation she would need to talk to her manager about if she can seat us. The manager came out and gave us the stipulation of a 2 hour time limit because we did not have a reservation. The restaurant was empty, maybe 4 tables were being used total inside and outside. They had plenty of space for us but made us feel awkward for being there. Once we sat down, our food and server was great! The outdoor space is beautiful and there's a great waterfall. Unfortunately, even though our dining experience was good, the passive aggressive greeting by the manager and what I felt like were unnecessary limitations placed on our table for not making a reservation, started our experience off on the wrong foot & my rating reflects that. Was looking for a nice place for lunch. Parking lot was full. Called to see if we could get seated, account wife in a wheelchair. Not the easiest place to get in with a wheelchair. We were seated quickly. That slowed down while waiting for our server to show up. 10 minutes is my top waiting time before we leave, when there is only 4 tables in the dining room. Lets get to the food. The turkey burger and the hamburger were okay. Nothing to write home about, especially for the prices they charge. The atmosphere wasn't special. This had to be the best patio in West County!! We came on a very windy day, so I was not sure if dining on the patio was going to work. The patio is so large, with lots of seating options. She was extremely upset about me ordering an old fashioned for my fiancé before happy hour ended since he was not yet there. He was on his way from work but running late. We were having dinner with a colleague which made the waitress's outburst increasingly uncomfortable. She scolded us like we were a couple of school kids and ended with "you really hurt my feelings". Food was a solid 4/5. Had a nice dinner here everyone ordered the 6oz filet and they were all cooked to perfection. The meat quality isn't as good as say a Jeff Ruby's or Ruth Chris but for the price the quality was great. There's a decent wine selection and the sides we ordered were also very good. Of note is the street corn it does come on the cob unless you request off the cob. The waitress recommended the spinach artichoke dip and it was really good. It wasn't very busy when we came in but that quickly changed and our waitress got pretty busy but she remained on top of everything. They have an awesome patio that's perfect for warm nights unfortunately it was a rather cold night so we didn't get to enjoy it. The inside is very spacious and can accommodate large parties.
