UPDATE: Since posting this 5 star review about a year ago, I can say that Biscuits has steadily declined in both service and quality. I've been back multiple times, and it's always hit or miss with servers. Some are in a great mood and on top of their game... while others have poor hygiene, are rude, careless, and really don't care if you're happy with your meal or not. The last few times i've been in, they do not honor the $5 coupons which are sent to email for discounts (birthday, anniversary etc) even if they are not expired or have not been used. The cashier will say "I can't find it in the system", although I received an email from Biscuits they day prior (timestamped) advertising a $5 coupon. When asking how this can happen, the cashier simply shrugs and says "I don't know"... well, that's unacceptable. This morning I got breakfast to go- my usual chicken fried steak. The final straw with Biscuits (hence the updated review), they didn't include ANY gravy in my chicken fried steak meal (which included biscuits and gravy WITH NO GRAVY), eggs were cold and rubbery, potatoes slimy. Not impressed- it's unfortunate an establishment can have such a rapid decline in less than a year. This definitely explains why their competitors always have a line out the door, while Biscuits line has diminished. read more

I am a little bit surprised to see that this place is not have more 5 star ratings. Time and time again we have gone and it has always been over the top outstanding. If you want the best corned beef brisket you've ever had, this is the place you want to try. Just about everything is made from scratch including their fruit spreads for the toast and biscuits. Time and time again we have gotten Melissa as our server and she has always been nothing short of delightful. You have to try this place. read more

Nice clean place , healthy veggie options, good food . Expensive. Good coffee. We ordered egg white Greek omlet with red potatoes and biscuit and veggie omlet with hash brown and sweet potato pancakes . Everything was Delicious.. This lil quaint place is good. They serve big portions. I had the almond crusted French Toast. It comes with eggs and bacon. I couldn't finish it, that's how much food it was... I would say if you have a sweet craving it's a really good choice to get, however, it was overload sweet for my tastebuds today... would def come back to try the biscuit since I got too full and the place prided themselves their biscuits hence the name Biscuits Cafe. read more

I've been here twice for breakfast in a Saturday morning and it has been fantastic. They were extremely busy both times and this past weekend we had to wait about 20 minutes for a seat but that's not unusual at many popular restaurants during high traffic times. Tried biscuits cafe for the first time and I loved it! The food and the service were excellent!

I went here for breakfast on Friday around 11:00 am. After standing in line for ~10 minutes to be seated (there were plenty of open tables) I was finally seated. For some reason it also took the same amount of time for me to receive my beverage. Twenty minutes later I recieved my food. I ordered the French toast and berries with no whip cream. The food came out with a giant dollop of whip cream. The bacon was really good. Eggs were over cooked. The worst part though, was the berry mix. It was all still frozen. The larger berries were rock hard. For the price and wait I would at least expect fresh fruit. When the bill came it totalled 19.xx for an ice tea, French toast, and frozen berries. I took my daughter and grandson out to brunch because she likes it here. She ordered the stuffed meat omelette and I just ordered a chicken avocado type sandwich. The waitress was there asap and got our drink and food order. Drinks came really quick but we waited 25mins for our food. My daughter has only ever ordered the one menu item so she likes it... mine was nothing fabulous. Terribly over priced. I just had the same thing at Chili's on 77th and Bell and it was off the charts good-- I won't be coming back. read more

Sat outside for lunch today as it was very crowded and loud inside. Very peaceful outside, and we experienced great service and food. I had the spicy chorizo omelette and my husband had the country omelette. Was very pleased to see chipotle tobasco on the table along with several other sauces. We ended up packing up the hash browns as the serving size was very large. The sausage patties were delicious. Overall, would recommend this place if you sit outside during busy times, and I might try sitting inside at non- peak times. read more

AVOID ordering online AT ALL COSTS. Submitted the order at 10:53am, and completion was promised by 11:25am-11:40am - very reasonable during weekend brunch hours. Arrive at 11:50am, just to be safe, and we're initially told it'll be another 5 minute wait by hostess #1. 11:55am rolls around so I ask for a status update from hostess #2, who informs me it would be another 20 minutes due to the fact that the food is "made fresh." "Your coworker just told me 5 minutes ago it'd be a 5 minute wait," I responded. "She's the new girl, she doesn't know any better, you can't trust anything she says," hostess #2 comments in regards to hostess #1. So we finally get the manager involved, since it's now been well over an hour since I submitted the order. But to no surprise, the manager took zero responsibility and expresses zero remorse for her lack of leadership. Visibly frustrated that I'm even expressing concern for this significant delay, the manager storms into her kitchen and has the staff package my order in 2 MINUTES. So hostess #1, I'm sorry that your fellow team members would throw you under the bus like that and shift blame on your apparent untrustworthiness. Hostess #2, so who can I trust, if not your coworker? I find it hard to believe your whole gambit of food being made fresh, seeing that I literally witnessed my order compiled in 2 minutes. I highly doubt your dine-in customers aren't waiting over an hour for their food to arrive. Manager, engage in some dialogue with your customers next time and have accountability; at least act like you care in the slightest about customer retention and satisfaction. read more

Amazing! The Veggie Head omelette was delicious, the cute hostess was professional and seated us fast! The manager Kelly was nearby helping another customer and went out of her way to make their day special. This is a fantastic breakfast and brunch spot with a small town feel. Would NOT recommend this place! What a waste of money! The service was horrible (took 10min for someone to address us after being seated), they didn't bring the correct food we ordered, and the quality of the food is not even close to worth what they charge. I really wanted to like this place, after reading mixed reviews I still had high hopes. It started when I sat down the chairs and booths have virtually no padding and very uncomfortable if you want to relax for a nice meal with friends or family. I ordered the 3 meat omelette with biscuits. Portion size was great for the price, however the potatoes were bland, there was one tiny slice of cheese on top of the omelette but what's worse is that it seemed like it was all pre cooked, the 3 meats were diced, dry and separate from the egg... But the biscuits... the biggest fail of them all, I've been around to a ton of breakfast joints in this country, I love biscuits! For a place with biscuits in the title I am vastly disappointed. You should be embarrassed. These tiny, dry, bland, excuses for biscuits are a joke. Will not be returning! Anyone else wondering where to get good breakfast, try The Place, Black Bear Diner, The Breakfast Club, or any other breakfast place before you resort to going here. read more

Too bad you can't go lower than 1 star, if so I would give it. My fairly recent experience was not pleasant. I found a long hair in my meal and discovered there was a dead cockroach under our table. No luck with management to make good on the situation either. If your curious about the place by all means check them out, maybe you will have a better experience. If you would rather have good food, service, and a clean place to eat, really I would look elsewhere. So much potential, so much lameness. Arrived, Saturday morning about 1130 with a starving family in tow. Greated at door by sour faced teenage hostess, told 15-20 minute wait. That is acceptable. The rest of the experience was not acceptable. At the door I could see 5 open tables with 3 groups waiting. Oh well, waited 20 mins, was called by sour face and offered a table in the main walking path at front of the resturant. I requested a table out of the path of every one, pointed to at 3 tables put together next to the window. Her response was that is for 6 people, she then rolled eyes, pulled the tables apart, threw the menus in the middle of the table and left. We sat, waited for 10 minutes for a server to take the order. She seemed pleasant enough. I ordered the ham benidict and asked that she insure the eggs be poached soft. We then waited for 30 mins for the food to show. After asking for her to check on the food. I checked the eggs one was undercooked, runny egg whites, the other poached hard. I then asked to see her, she returned. I said I asked that the eggs be cooked to my liking, soft poached, she said they are,I responded that a hard yolk is not soft, she responded what do you want me to do, I ran out patience, just like this run on sentance, and asked that she take the plate and remove the charge ($10.98). She offered to take the charge off and remake. I said I was not interested in a new plate. I did not want to wait and I do not complain to get free food. She walked away. It actually was kinda of a strange interaction. Now it becomes an irritatating experience. A woman approaches the table, does not introduce herself and starts interrogate me about the eggs. I said, they were not cooked to my specs, I would rather not have another order, I would rather not discuss it any further. I told her that I would pay for what I ordered. She stated that she was sent by "her director of operations to state that they thought the eggs were fine." I then restated I would pay for the food, otherwise she was making me and my family uncomfortable. She interrupted stating that she did not want to make me uncomfortable. I replied that it was too late and requested she leave me alone. She walked away. No additional follow up. No refills on the drinks. Check dropped, the charges for my food removed. My family thought their food was ok. My wife's comments as we left was, that was too bad we need a local breakfast place. I must agree. My prediction is this place will last for about 6 months. Many resturants have come and go in that particular business park. If the owners would be interested in some advice, you might want to invest in some customer service training that would elevate your staff's competence level to match a ten dollar plate of bacon and eggs. read more

I've lived on this side of town for ten years and finally made it to Biscuits Cafe. I'd heard really great things about it and was excited to try it out. When we first walked in I noticed that the lights are somewhat fluorescent and that there weren't any cute, comfy looking spots to sit; all the seats were tables and I'm a booth kinda gal. Our table was sticky, so we had to ask our server to wipe it down again. The service overall was good and the food came out pretty quickly. I ordered an a la cart meal with hash browns, biscuits, and fruit while my friend ordered waffles. The food quality was okay but I wouldn't say it was amazingly better than anywhere else. This place is slipping! Some of the food was overcooked and undercooked at the same time. We order the corned beef hash and it was stringy, dried out and overcooked. The waffles were great, nice and fluffy but crispy outside. The coffee is total rubbish. It kind of taste like the cheap Motel 8 coffee, just horrible! No flavor and flat for days. For the most part the food was tasty and the place was clean and staff friendly. I am a coffee person so I am sure I won't be back, but if you can get past bad coffee then you should try it! read more

The pancakes at Biscuits are so great. The servers are always so friendly and personable. We did have to wait a little bit for a table but only because we arrived at prime breakfast time on a Saturday. So worth the wait though!!! read more

Honestly, as far as breakfast places go, I wasn't too impressed. I went here pretty recently but the fact that I don't remember much about the decor should be a good indicator about how I felt. It was just...average. As far as the food goes, it's also pretty average. I had the chocolate chip pancakes which were generously portioned and decent. I just wouldn't make the effort to return here. Very good food, nice ambience and good service. Went there for breakfast on a whim one day and was not disappointed. The biscuits were delicious, as was everything else on my plate. I sat in a corner so it wasn't excessively noisy but there are a lot of middle of the room tables that are right next to each other as well. Multiple servers stopped by my table to refill my drink. I came here to have breakfast this morning. Sat down at 9:10 walked out at 9:35 with Not one eye contact Not a hi, No here's some water, No service at all. I sat and watched a family in front of that had already been sitting there get there order taken then food delivered. Another table to the left of me receive their meal and beverages refilled. So two different servers at a couple different times and two different helpers to bring out food and whatever the tables needed. I watched tables that walked in after Me get coffee, water, service and their food. Very unacceptable service. There was No Communication between the staff. People looked at me but noone even asked if I had been helped or offered to help. I won't be trying this place again. Poor, poor service. read more

If you're wanting average eggs, above average pancakes (sweet potato specifically), and below average bacon & coffee - the Biscuits Cafe is you're place. There are lots of other spots in the PHX area far better for breakfast/brunch, but if you're in the area and need a quick place to meet this will suit you just fine. read more

I tried to give 0 stars but yelp requires at least one. We couldn't even get it. I stood at the counter for 10 minutes trying to get my name down without any service. One woman was checking tables out and there were two employees just standing there. I got smiled at but no other acknowledgement. Then two people came in and said the exact thing I did and got their names down immediately. I asked why my name wasn't put down when asked and again, no response. Terrible experience. This is a GREAT spot for breakfast! Ordered the Corned Beef Hash, they offered sliced tomatoes in place of the eggs, biscuits and hash browns. Let me start by saying...get the hash browns with the Corned Beef hash! The Biscuits were hot, fresh and so light and fluffy. Even after 5-6 minutes of sitting on my plate when I opened one up you could still see the steam coming out. Service was good, food came out quickly, staff was very friendly. The room is big, clean and has a nice homey feel to it. Place was packed at 10:30 on a Friday morning, they offered me a hot tea to go after serving my first one in a huge mug. I am definitely going back...something good for everyone! read more
