One, they ignored us twice when coming into the "restaurant" to be seated when obviously the people who came in after us got seated before us (no they didn't have reservations). Two they didn't give us our food together and later than those who came in before us, and third, they didn't check up on us at all for the rest of the meal. I know a lot of folks love Biscuits, but I've just never got it. The food is fine, but the prices seempretty high for what you're getting. It's tough for me to complain about anything in particular, because nothing I've had was bad, but by the same token nothing was particularly good either. The biscuits were extra disappointing given the name of the place, but I think that it probably had more to do with heightened expectations given that... you know... the place is called biscuits. This was very much a place I wanted to love (I gave it several tries against my better judgement) but the experience was pretty much the same no matter what I ordered. The food was fine, not good, not bad, and the prices were 10-20% higher than i'd expect to pay for an average breakfast in portland. Most popular breakfast joints manage to distinguish themselves in some way, either through low prices, great quality, large portions, or innovative preparations, biscuits seems to have gone the opposite direction producing perfectly average food, in average portions, and charging you a premium for it. It kind of makes me think that the prices are a marketing gimmick to make you think that the food is better than it is by making you pay more for it... Anyway in summary... meh. read more

The server was great. Unfortunately, he outdid the food significantly. The menus are very colorful and upbeat, but the actual food was all average or bland. The ideas for menu items are great (ie Country Fried Steak Benedict, Bacon Belgian Waffle), as well. But the food, when cut down to the basics, tasted very generic. It was the rare time when I will admit that I could have made more flavorful food at home. Even when you go to just the standalone foods (ie bacon, eggs, hash browns), it was stuff that you pulled from the fridge and put on a skillet...without the seasoning. The best thing I can say about the good was that the pancakes were hot when they were brought out. Along with hot syrup. I still would rather go to IHOP. Nice little breakfast spot. The place was busy but we didn't have to wait long. The breakfast burrito was pretty darn good and very filling. They pile the eggs, beans, sausage, green peppers and onions inside and comes with a side of has browns. My wife got the strawberry pancakes and she enjoyed! this is usually my default place to go when i don't want to drive out to portland. the food is always decent. i wouldn't bring out of town guests here but it's good enough for what you pay. i ordered the benedict with hash and it looked like they used miniature eggs. there was plenty of meat and biscuit, but the eggs on top were like the size of cherries :P it was pretty hilarious. my favorite server is josh. he is quick, pleasant, and makes sure my coffee cup is never empty :) read more

I have eaten here before and the food was good but nothing special. I went in today for breakfast and it seemed well staffed and wasn't very busy. I was seated almost immediately upon arriving and then was completely ignored by the staff. I ended up leaving after sitting for about 10 minutes and being passed by multiple servers without any service. read more

My favorite breakfast spot. Never had a bad meal and the service is always good too. Make sure to try their hot chocolate! It's so rich and comes with whipped cream on top. I had the chicken apple sausage with hash browns and pancakes. The sausage was awful - I couldn't eat it (I've eaten chicken apple sausage other places and liked it). It was all pink, like maybe they boiled it, and it had two small spots of grill marks where they slapped it down on the griddle so it looked a teensy bit more appetizing. It was cold - not even warm - and I'm not entirely sure it was fully cooked. My hash browns were cooked on one side only, so the top was super crispy and the bottom was greasy and very soggy. THESE PEOPLE ARE CRAZY! Biscuits it THE BEST place for breakfast!!!!! Cornbeef hash is to DIE FOR. Pancakes are better then anywhere else I have ever been. The number 9 omelet is killer SHRIMP, AVACADO, CREAM CHEESE, lots of CHEESE!!!! Everyone I know LOVES BISCUITS. And yes weekends are packed---UM DUH, that means its really good. and $9 dollars for breakfast is not bad when you get enough for lunch too. This was my first time here (12/23/17). My party and I were very please with the amazing service. We were sat and got our drinks ordered. Taylor; our nice server checked on us every 15 minutes or so. In my opinion the country style omelette was the best choice, being this the first time coming to this establishment. I was very surprised on the food portions. We wanted to try a new place and we are so glad we did! I love the feel of the place and how bright it is from all the windows! They had so many options that sounded so good that it was hard to pick what to get! But I usually judge a breakfast place by their French Toast and the french toast here did not disappoint! I love when the toast is thick cut and the batter had great flavor. The star of breakfast for me was the bacon though, seriously it was insanely amazing. My husband loved his biscuits and gravy and even let me snatch a bite and I agree that it was great! My daughter ate most of her big pancake and loved her eggs. The really only dwnside for us was the potatoes my husband got with his meal, they were okay but hardly seasoned and just didn't look appealing. Also the oarking lot is quite small but that isn't a huge issue. We will be making more trips here to try out mroe the awesome looking menu! read more

My Wife and I went to Biscuits Café for Breakfast for the first time yesterday. The food was excellent as was the service. The prices aren't cheap although the portions are big and I brought home a doggy bag. I had a Biscuit with Gravy and it was Delicious. The Gravy was a little spicy and fresh tasting and the Biscuit was light and fluffy.My Wife had Eggs with Bacon and enjoyed her Breakfast a lot. I told the Waiter when I placed my order that I was going to bring the Pancakes home with me. He was nice enough to bring the Pancakes in a to go box bagged up. Very considerate. I have only been here twice and each time it was great. The food was amazing. I ordered the Greek omelet with egg whites (since they are four egg omelets) and fruit instead of hash browns or red potatoes and toast. The service was great. He was friendly and professional. There was a bit of a wait to take our order however, the wait was after he asked us one time when we weren't ready. I saw a comment on here stating that they had to pay up front but that was not the case with our visit. He took my card and I paid for everything without going to the front. We finally found a place that knows how to make awesome chicken fried steak! And even better chicken fried chicken! Then to make it even better they actually make their own gravy for the biscuits, which is delicious. They cook the hash browns well too, nice and crispy. We've been there twice and the service was great both times. I had been going to the Beaverton (Elmonica area) Biscuits since I live nearby, but had a horrible experience last weekend and I will never go back. My wife ordered waffles and during the third bite she discovered a hard piece of plastic that she almost swallowed. She brought the waiter over and politely explained what she found. She didn't want to send the food back, just to let them know. What the waiter did was unbelieveable. He actually disagreed with her and said that he didn't know what it was, but that it wasn't plastic. We were shocked, but she went back to eating her waffle. After a couple more bites, she found more melted hard plastic about the size of a tea bag. At this point, we were both annoyed and decided to get another menu item. When the waiter came back, we explained what we found and showed him the plastic again. He still didn't agree. When we got the bill, the waiter this time contended that a piece of plastic nearby the waffle maker might have made it into the waffles. It wasn't an apology, more of an explanation/excuse. I asked for the manager and we explained the situation, who also said that the waffle maker might have been too close to some plastic. There was never an apology and no price reduction on our bill. I was infuriated at this point and wrote a letter to the manager, but never heard back. Mistakes like this shouldn't occur, but stuff happens and a good restaurant will make it right. Biscuits is not a good restaurant and they screwed up their oppotunity to change my mind. I plan on telling everything I know to avoid this place. Very bad restaurant! read more

My local go-to for breakfast for a while. Can't say I love everything (the hash felt odd... Meat felt deep fried instead of the potatoes), but I really enjoy a number of things. Their black oak sausage is rich, complex, and flavorful. Their waffles have that perfect crispy outside with some chewy middle. Friendly servers, and plenty of extra help to let them do their job (bussers, drink refillers, cashier, table seater). Yes they get busy. But they get people through that want to, or you can sit with your coffee and use their (working!?) wifi. I've started caring recently and it amazes me how unusable so many other's are (I'm looking at you McMenamins and Panera). read more

You know service sucks when you walk in at breakfast time, and after taking your order the server hasn't come back to your table by lunch time. Don't sit outside, unless you want to starve to death. Pretty damn good. Had the corned beef hash and it was really good. Luckily we went on a weekday, so no crowds, just quick service. Good old diner/ comfort breakfast food. Their biscuits were okay, not too dry, small, but not really feeling the gravy. Other than that, good service, cute little place, and bomb corned beef hash. This facility has a open room dinning/kitchen concept that is great, however it does tend to get very loud even first thing on a Sunday morning. The noise at times can be so loud you cant even hear the person across the table from you. The food however is well worth the noise, my husband and I really love the homemade corned beef hash, it is just what you would make at home with your left over ( if you ever have any). You can get your meal with either hash browns and toast or hash browns and pancake, so I will get the pancake and he will get the toast so we can share. You MUST always find a way to get toast just so you can use their homemade Strawberry freezer jam...it is delish. I totally recommend Biscuits Cafe for your next family breakfast. read more

Plain and simple this place was awesome. It's a busy place and the employees are never standing still but that's a good thing. Coffee is always full, food comes fast and hot and taste great.
