Excellent service. Great coffee. Regular food. Transcending decor. Easy parking…read more Following my friend Dennis' recommendations, my wife and I drove to Baristopia to enjoy an afternoon coffee and snack. SERVICE What captivated me at first, beyond the super clean premises with everything neatly organized and accessible, was the friendliest service that included a smile from ear to ear and banter, something I haven't experienced in many months, maybe in a couple of years! To top it off, we didn't wait but 2 minutes after paying, and our entire order was ready! FOOD The espresso double shot was exceptionally delicious. Creamy, foamy, the right balance between sweetness and bitterness. We tried the Blueberry Hand-pie ($5) and it's, as you'd expect, sugary and crunchy, however is no match to the Date Sugar Scone ($4.75) which was highly recommend it, the best in our opinion! The Zucchini muffin ($4.75) is deceiving as it looks like chocolate but it tastes like you're eating healthy. It has little pieces of green something, to demonstrate that it's actually vegan, and probably made by vegans. And the label says that it's vegan. And did I mention that it's vegan?! The Mocha needed sugar to add up to the sugary chocolatey flavor of major coffee shops. Not really my favorite, but then again, I'm here to try real coffee as recommended by my friend Dennis! ENVIRONMENT Super clean and organized. They have an amazing music selection playing and one can bring their coffee home to make, as they have a good selection of whole bean coffee bags from around the world to choose from.

I was visiting…read morefrom LA and we have a few places that offer that but I absolutely love making my own spring rolls. Their parking lot is pretty small and holds about 5-7 cars. We got lucky and pulled into the last open spot. There were a good amount of people inside but we were seated right away. They have a little shop area in the front that was super cute too. Their menu is pretty large but in the best way. There's literally something for everyone from spring rolls to pho to banh mi. My friend and I each got our own DIY spring roll set and I got a cup of beef pho broth with an order of rice noodles to make a mini bowl of pho for myself on the side. The spring roll set comes with 4 sheets of rice paper, fresh veggies (lettuce, basil, cucumber, pickled carrots), rice noodles, your choice of protein (we chose pork sausage), and dipping sauce. The pho broth was flavorful and the noodles were cooked perfectly. The spring rolls came out amazing and were so filling. My only suggestion would be to have the carrots shredded instead of sliced to get a more even distribution within the spring rolls. But overall it was a fantastic meal. I definitely recommend giving it a try!

Tan Tan Cafe & Delicatessen is my go-to spot for Vietnamese food in Beaverton, and it never…read moredisappoints. The restaurant itself is clean, modern, and welcoming, with a comfortable layout that works just as well for a quick lunch as it does for a relaxed sit-down meal. Service is consistently friendly and efficient, and the food comes out hot, fresh, and full of flavor every time. My usual orders rotate between two favorites. The #74 Cơm Bì Sườn Chả is a must. Perfectly grilled pork chop with great char, paired with shredded pork skin and Vietnamese meatloaf, served with rice that soaks up all the flavors. It's hearty, balanced, and incredibly satisfying. When I'm craving soup, I always go for the #40 Phở Tân Tân Đặc Biệt (Phở Special). The broth is rich and comforting, loaded with beef meatballs, eye-round steak, brisket, flank, fatty brisket, soft tendon, and tripe. It's one of those bowls that hits every note and keeps me coming back. A nice bonus is their house sauces. They're so good that they actually sell them, and you can even find them at local grocery markets nearby, which says a lot about how popular they are. If you're looking for consistently great Vietnamese food in Beaverton with solid service and a clean, modern atmosphere, Tan Tan Cafe & Delicatessen is an easy recommendation.

Just wanted to share a bad experience with this place. This morning I went to La Espiga Dorada…read moreBakery to pick up some canned beans and cream for breakfast. When I got home I started cooking the beans and noticed there was a foul smell. I proceeded to cook the beans and I was making the rest of our breakfast when I noticed they started smelling more. I honestly thought I was going crazy so I tasted them and OMG it was horrible. It tasted like sour milk. At this point I'm upset because I've spent $12.00 on literally 2 items ($6.50 for the canned beans and $5.50 for the cream). I'm not one to complain, I would've let this go but I'm out $6.50 for CANNED BEANS and my kids were looking forward to this. So I call the bakery and explain the situation, tell them exactly how it happened and I asked if I could have a refund or get a new can. They asked if they were expired and I said no (see pic) and the lady puts me on hold. She comes back and said her boss told her they can't do anything about it because I already cooked them and I should've taken them in as soon as I noticed something. I explain again that when I opened the can they looked fine, it wasn't until I started cooking them that I noticed the smell. She placed me on hold again, this time for almost 5 minutes and said that I can only get a partial refund and said I should've taken them, AGAIN. I told her I still have the can, the beans are still in the pot, I can take them like that if they want, at this point I just want my money back. Plus, what's the point of me taking them back after I opened them, were they just gonna put it back on the shelf?! Anyway, she puts me on hold again, comes back and tells me the same thing and said her boss told her that winco, Fred Meyer, and Walmart would've done the same thing (?!??!?!!!) I asked to speak with her boss she said she's not available and that I can't!! After a bunch of back and forth she finally agreed to give me a refund. I'm just so upset that I had to go through all this, get riled up, just to get my $6.50 for a can of rotten beans. This should've been handled better. We literally just spent over $30 on their bread this week for thanksgiving and this is how they treat their customers?! I won't be going back here after this experience.
