I ordered a Salted Caramel Mocha with oat milk, the coffee was very good. I was wanting a savory breakfast, not very many vegan options. I got veggie sausage on dried sourdough toast. I didn't even get tomatoes on my sandwich. :( I visited Jim & Patty's on July 17th, 2023. Later in the day, I learned that Jim passed away that day. I was very sad to learn of his passing. We stopped in for brunch around 10:00 on a Friday morning and didn't leave until almost 1:15 after waiting to be seated then waiting for our food. A man from "Corporate" saw this and apologized. After that, no one checked on my meal. No one offered my a coffee refill. "My" server offered a box for my potatos but never came back with the check. I asked for the corporate guy, but was told another manager would be with me shortly. She quickly comped my meal and apologized. She is the regional mgr. The atmosphere is okay visually, but it's packed with laptop workers and there's barely any space to sit and relax. People treat this place like a co-working space and give you stares if your kid makes any noise. It's a coffee shop, not a library or an office. And the tip screen before you even taste anything? Hard pass on that concept. I carry cash and I tip based on actual experience -- that's how it should work. Service was polite but dismissive when there was a real complaint. Probably won't be back.
