This place is right across the street from the VA clinic so I thought I would check it out. I have to fast for the blood tests so I always ask for the earliest appointment possible. So by the time I got out of there I was starved and really up for an outstanding breakfast. Sadly, none was to be found here. Like one of my fellow Yelpers, I stuck my head inside the doorway... was duly un-impressed, turned around and left. Hungry. I did grab one of their menus and while it was a full page of options there was really only one item: A breakfast sandwich. The options were the dozen or so ways that this overworked sandwich could be configured. Reminded me of those insanely overpriced "restaurants" at PDX. If I wanted a microwaved bagel and toppings I would have just gone to McDonalds... an establishment that I haven't eaten at in eons. Several immediate turnoffs. The dining are was quite large. Yet even though it was prime-time for area workers and folks to be looking for a late b'fast/early lunch there was only one young couple there. Nursing their cups of coffee. So I'm thinking this is NOT going to be the lots of great food at reasonable prices great dining secret that I was hoping to find. The other major red flag was a verbal greeting from some unseen person behind a counter 40 feet away. I looked in that direction and there was a sign "order here". HA! I gather there is no table service. Just one of those places where you do the ordering and are presented with a tip screen "asking" for a 30% gratuity.... a stupidity tax benefiting people who do pretty much nothing. Or likely more accurately, the workers never see a nickle of this surcharge. I avoid places like this like the plague. And it's why I almost always pay cash when I eat out these days. If I don't have the cash on me, which is often the case, I wait until I get home to eat. Perhaps this review is overly harsh especially since I didn't stay to actually sample their fare. But the menu looked unimpressive, the prices were rather high, there was not an obvious fan base eating there... the vibe I got from this place was that I would be overcharged for an unimpressive, unfulfilling "meal". And that there wouldn't even be someone coming by to top off my coffee now and then. For north of $20! Why put myself through that? read more

This was a bit odd for my review here but we came to get a pastry and we wanted to picked a croissant because my mom loves croissants. However, when I looked closely, that section had a fly and while waiting in line I literally saw it touch each croissant. Chain store in a strip mall, so no surprises, but sometimes that's just what you want - consistency. Bright, generic looking layout inside with tables and high tops; order at the counter take a number and food comes to you. I had a lunch of half an Albacore Tuna Sando and a Power Greens and Grains bowl, sandwhich was better than expected, a nice crunchy tuna with celery, a bit on the creamy side but served on a nice toasted multigrain bread. The Power Greens were awesome as well, lots of fresh spinach, arugula, cucumbers chickpeas and more, in a pretty hefty portion. All good, and reasonabley priced. Service is good, efficient and to the point. Plenty of parking - it's a mall! read more

My family is visiting from out of state and I thought I would take them to a nice coffee shop. I was so embarrassed. The customer service was horrible. The cashier, I did not get her name but she has a neck tattoo and wears glasses was not very pleasant. We got 5 morning rush specials which consists of a muffin and black coffee. I asked what muffins came with the special and with attitude she said all of them. We asked what size coffee came with the special and the cashier said what size do you want angrily. I asked because sometimes there is an up charge for larger sizes or specialty muffins. The Muffins and coffee were ok nothing special. The whole experience sadly is not one I would like to return to. read more

Pretty good dinner to-go experience. We hadn't been here in over a year, but the sandwich shop next to the house has been failing lately...luckily we remembered Corner Bakery. Couple years ago I started coming, it was 1299 for the pick two with a side. Now it's 1597. The last few times I've come the Cesar changed. The sandwiches really changed became smaller and less appealing. This time I tried a different sandwich the green chili chicken Panini. It was horrible. The Panini marks were so dark. They actually tasted burnt. I scooped the chicken out and put it in the pasta where it should be and taste better. The pasta pesto cavatappi was good. The Cesar OK very disappointing. It's gone down Hill the last couple years, but yet the price has gone up. My mom and I love coming here the atmosphere the classic music and the food was so good. How sad i'll definitely try a couple more times to see if anything changes but if it doesn't, I'm out! read more

I have been getting a lot of takeout delivered from places since I am home with an injury making cooking a challenge. I really wanted some chicken noodle soup and some salad. Luckily the salad was pretty amazing. I ordered their cobb salad only without the blue cheese crumbles - I requested Parmesan instead. The rest of the salad was a varietal of greens, hard boiled egg, avocado, bacon bits and some roasted turkey. The dressing is an avocado ranch and the whole thing was quite enjoyable. It is good that the salad was plentiful since that was my lunch which I had intended to save for dinner. I intended to eat the chicken noodle soup for lunch and thankfully I ordered a bowl instead of cup so I got two noodles and a scrap of chicken. It was ridiculous and should have been listed as chicken broth since that is what I ordered, even paid extra for. I did order a piece of garlic bread to go with it which was ok. read more

Decent place to take a coffee break or if you need a place to study. Staff is super friendly and the atmosphere is quite enough for you to get work done. Some of the tables even have plugs if you need to bring a laptop. I'm not a huge coffee person myself so I can't really speak to any of the beverages. That being said I was pleasantly surprised by the food selection. Both my wife and I had their Chicken Pesto sandwich. My only complaint was the ratio of filling to bread. This is one of those fast casual chain type places I typically avoid. In fact, I once came here for lunch with a companion, stuck my head in the door, and left. I am not sure why I wasn't feeling it. Today I had an appointment at Kaiser and this place was close. My chauffeur needed food. I really wanted coffee. So we tried again. It's clean, there is plenty of parking, the kids behind the counter are friendly. You order food, pay, they give you a number, they bring the food to you and they bus your table after. We ordered two half sweet mochas, ( they have only whole or skim milk), a breakfast sandwich with eggs and bacon, a flatbread with egg and chicken sausage, and a pecan maple bar to split. Everything was fine really, the pecan thing was delicious, but the coffee was not very coffeeish. More like hot chocolate and even half sweet was very sweet. I did not finish it.
