Unless there is a hidden thermal camera, temperature checks were not done. After observing several table turnovers, staff does not sanitize between customers. Deciding what to order was a cinch. Rather than choose just one, I did the Mix & Match and selected Banana Nutella crepe & French toast and the Fried Cinnamon French toast. When my waitress returned with my order, she had to return to the kitchen to get syrup. As several minutes had passed, I wondered where she had gone. It turned out she was getting syrup for several tables. Although I enjoyed all three, I enjoyed the Banana Nutella crepe the most. They served my favorite brand... Segafredo, so I was looking forward to drinking it like water. Unfortunately, there were coffee grounds in my first cup which made me not look forward to the refill. I don't understand some of the good reviews for this restaurant. The food was not good at all. The gluten free pancakes didn't taste anything like pancake. There are other places that makes them so much better in the area. The pancake was super thin, super greasy and crispy. I ordered Frisco omelette with chorizo and I didn't taste any chorizo at all but instead it was filled with tons of black beans and that's all I tasted. Not how omelette should be either. My husband had steak and eggs and he said it wasn't so great either but good enough. Then to top it off, after we got the food, the waitress didn't come check on us at all until it was time to leave. Most restaurant asks you if you need anything at least right after you get your food. We had to ask the bus boy for a folk and then we had to ask the manager for hot sauce. I understand if the restaurant was busy but the restaurant only had like 4 tables being occupied because we went there around 2:30pm. I think Biscuit did a great job of handling the issues at hand in this weird time, professionally. Dining in a time of Covid. 20 minute wait on Saturday at 10 am. Can't get reservation. Can't call ahead to put our name on the list. Not a big deal, just reporting. There was a ridiculous Karen giving attitude about the wait, seriously Karen, things are tough enough right now. We were lucky enough to get the ideal Covid table: large enough that there is natural social distance with the server and not in a walking path that causes people to walk by all the time. All employees wearing masks and maintaining social distance. But patrons are a different story, not the restaurant's fault, it's Collin County, y'all, we all have agendas. The servers were to the point, courteous and professional, around when they needed to be. The food was the same great quality that made us want to venture out in the first place. So I saw this place a month ago and vowed to try it bc of the name! I LOVE biscuits so a place named Biscuit HAD to have some of the best ones right?! WRONG! The biscuits I had with my messed up order were hard and not very tasty. They didn't even have any special jams to go with it, just the kind that comes in the little packs you get at the hotel breakfast line. I was sadly disappointed. I ordered the breakfast skillet that came with crispy hash browns (as stated in the menu), my choice of eggs (over medium) and I asked for no cheese. My food came out with cheese so they had to remake it. When they remade it, the eggs were fried super hard which was opposite of what I asked for and the hash browns were far from crispy. The vegetables in it were cooked well but I found some pieces inside that had dirt from not trimming the ends of the veggies during prep. We love this restaurant! There is always excellent service and we have never had a bad meal since they opened. My favorite is there mushroom burger with their excellent fries however I also love their great Club sandwich. Mr. tells me that breakfast is great and it must be because he's pretty picky about his eggs. My friends and I came here for brunch on a Sunday afternoon. There was no wait and we were seated as soon as we walked in. I had the Frisco Skillet with a side of Beer Biscuits. The Frisco Skillet came fairly bland and I had to add a ton of salt, pepper, and Tabasco sauce to it. The biscuits were good since they were soft and not too dry. I've had brunch here a few times, and it's been a consistently good experience. Know upfront that there's no alcohol here at all, so if you're pining for that Bloody Mary or mimosa... But the food is quite good, and the service has been very attentive as well. On my most recent visit, I selected a breakfast skillet that featured chorizo, red and green peppers, hash browns, and an over easy egg. I requested the hash browns well done, and they were crispy, brown, and delicious. Chorizo was ground fine and well done, and the peppers were soft and a little sweet, making this a really nice dish. The biscuits are tall, with a fairly substantial crumb, and go great with a generous application of butter. Pancakes weren't superb on this visit; they were not very warm and were a little tough, but tasted OK. I also sampled my dining partner's Frisco omelet; it had a nice texture and featured a good proportion of egg to filing. A request for salsa brought a dark green sauce that was smoky and spicy, and made a great addition to the omelet. There are very few places that have disappointed me the way Biscuit has. And I must say that I am quite surprised. I suggested dining here based off of the positive reviews I had read. When we stepped in, it was very nice inside. The space is open and new with a beautiful enclosed patio attached. The hostess should have been the first red flag. She was dull and straight faced. Her demeanor was as though her parents owned the place and she was being forced to worked there, hence the super casual attire and lack of enthusiasm. It took forever for our server to arrive. He took our drink order and came back to take our food order. Despite the incredibly delicious looking items we viewed on the restaurant's Instagram page, we'll decided on basic breakfast items. We did ask our server if he would recommend the items we choose and he said absolutely. The avocado toast was a top seller and The Classic was, well, classic. The food came out in a decent amount of time. My husband was missing his sausage gravy so when our waiter returned, he informed him. It took at least 10 minutes for my husband to get his gravy. This took the waiter returning, saying he would go see what the hold up was, more time passing, then a woman bringing it to the table. The gravy, like the rest of the food (except the eggs) was GARBAGE. The avocado toast! How could you screw that up? Well, mix it with olive oil, lemon, etc and you will get your answer. I tried to force myself to eat it until I started to gag. Then, I scraped it all off and ate the bread. My husband was upset because he was served 2 biscuits but 1 was the end piece and was rock hard. The bacon reminded him of microwaveable bacon. It was thin and not good. The hash browns were okay. The gravy really spoiled the rest of his appetite. Not only did it not taste good but there was pieces of thick sheets throughout. I've cooked homemade sausage gravy on numerous occasions and have never encountered this substance. We left so much food on all of our plates and were sickened but only on how horrible the food was but that it costed us $30 and we were still hungry. It took us forever to pay our bill because our server was so slow. Also, there are only 2 restrooms and usually had a wait. The one I visited had water all over the floor and a giant wall to wall mirror on the side of the toilet. It was kind of creepy and made me think maybe someone was on the other side watching (or maybe that's my paranoia but regardless it's weird). Some of the tables were cleaned but large pieces of food remained below. I would like to think that maybe this was an "off" day but there were too many errors and such a disastrous first impression. Strong, bold espresso without being bitter and not overly sweet or artifical tasting. I loved my sweet potato hobo skillet BUT it was strange that the potatoes and onions were diced so small. It kind of just became mush, so while the taste was great, the texture, not so much. It's an extremely specific and nit-picky thing that probably only I would notice/ gripe about, hence 4 stars instead of 5. I would definitely come back. Yelp friends! Help me keep this place open, I want to make this place a regular stop for my family. To start, it's a really nice little place. A lot of times a breakfast joint in a strip center is just white walls with country Knick-knacks on the walls. This ain't that kinda place. It fits upscale Frisco without being snotty. The covered Patio was a great investment and will be a highlight for most that come to visit. I loved the variety of choices on the breakfast menu (I should have taken a pic... sorry). We are not talking about a lame list that is only buttermilk pancakes or waffles with strawberries, chocolate chips, or bananas thrown on top. There was an actual range of creative choices (see my pics). In fact, there were so many that I forced my family to pick different things so I could sample more. :) The flavor was top notch. One unique thing I noticed was that the fruity pebbles pancake (don't judge!) and the granola pancake both had a toasted flavor. I liked it, but it wasn't expected. As we were leaving, I saw a truck outside delivering cords of wood. They are apparently using a wood fires oven or something back in the kitchen, and that hit the flavor of the pancakes. Totally unique! They have only been open for a couple of weeks, so it was pretty empty and over staffed (probably tough for management to anticipate crowds at this point, so likely erring in the side of caution). Each person was super friendly, and if they can maintain the friendly atmosphere, this could be a go to for a lot of Frisco families. Overall... My parents had some eggs, corned beef hash, and chicken and waffles, and they thought it was also pretty delicious and filling. We also had about 4 beer biscuits for our table since they were sides. The beer biscuits were interesting, a lot bigger and a bit denser than what I'm used to seeing from a typical southern biscuit. I thought they went pretty well with my skillet dish. I do wish that they came with sausage gravy as well, as I believe there is a dedicated biscuits and gravy entree option. Maybe if I had asked they would given some, but the biscuits were still pretty tasty on their own or with the provided butter and jam. I couldn't really tell what the flavor was on its own, but they had a subtle sweetness and were well cooked. Overall, I would definitely like to come back again and try something new from the menu. The menu for breakfast and lunch is pretty expansive, so there's plenty of things for everyone.
