I'll probably catch some heat for this because Biscotti's has nearly a cult following and I can understand why. We had a reservation and were seated on time and greeted by a very friendly waitress, so no issues there. The drinks were great and the food was delicious. We got cake to take home with us and it was smashing as well. The issue this trip was just how long it takes to get a drink there. The waitress took our drink order immediately, and I assume turned it into the bar. Later she came by and took our appetizer order. We did not get our drinks until after the appetizers were finished and our dinner orders came out before we were three sips into our drinks. I understand a bar can be backed up, but if your bar is backed up this far, you need to let customers know prior to them ordering. Maybe not a big deal to some people but what you pay for this experience I would expect better. read more

Celebrated my birthday here for lunch yesterday. I've been wanting to try this place based on the positive reviews and it did not disappoint. Wow location, food and service all excellent. The area has lots of shops and restaurants, all which have food reviews so I have to come back. This is a very dog friendly area land everyone was so nice. We ordered brochetta it was uniquely served as a warm roll with mozzarella cheese in the middle and tomato mixture on top. It was fabulous! We also ordered soup of the day which was wild rice with chicken again it was so good. Our main entrees were the hot beef sandwich and double smash burger with fries. Everything was served fresh and tasty. We were so full but we had to taste their desserts. We ordered cappuccinos mouse slice that was so wonderful! You can't beat their friendly staff and neighborhood venue. Heart of Avondale in Jacksonville Bread pudding v is my favorite. My husband loves the chocolate cake. Many desserts to choose from you just can't pick one so I had to take carrot cake home! read more

Oh biscottis! I've heard so much about this place, and I had the pleasure of trying it finally one weekend while friends were in town. I can certainly see why this place is highly recommended. Service was fantastic, food was excellent (there wasn't anything that I tried that I was not a fan of), and the environment was cute. It's a great place to grab brunch, but I would make reservations ahead of time. We walked in on a busy Sunday morning and the was it was maybe 1.5 hours, but it was well worth it. The prior reviews are spot on. We came for brunch after Church on Sunday. Excellent menu to select from. Meats, sweets, carbs - you name it. We ordered some of everything. The restaurant was almost full and our food came out pretty quickly. We had really nice service with experienced wait staff. I'd try the creme brûlée with the orange honey marscapone topping. It was magnificent. This is definitely a once a month place. 15 different desserts to choose from in the way out, all the same - delish! You will love this place. read more

It's been YEARS since I've been to Biscottis, but we went on an Art Bikes tour, and we were hungry for brunch! On Sundays, Biscottis does brunch with reservations, but the bar and outdoor seating was first come, first serve, and we were able to skip the 45 minute wait with an open outdoor table. They were so busy, but service was outstanding. We are currently navigating some dietary changes for my husband, and even with the brunch rush, the staff was patient and happy to accommodate. He had a breakfast burrito with a small salad, that he was able to get without meat. I had a steak salad, that was both huge and delicious. I was so happy to have a solid half to bring home. The crispy potato strings and balsamic marinated tomatoes balanced beautifully with the perfectly cooked sliced steak. The weather was perfect for al fresco dining, and next time I will save room for Biscotti's famous dessert. read more

Got there round 8 ish had a reso for 6. They seemed a bit busy but server greeted and was attentive. Drinks and desert took a while to get to us but the apps and mains were great. Had to get the nostalgic soup sweet potato and red Pepper seems thicker than before but still very good. The franchise was great and the pork chop was also delish. Someone (can't remember who) told us how amazing Biscotti's is. We decided to seek it out today on our monthly trip to Jax. We made a dinner reservation 5pm. It's located in a trendy neighborhood a few miles from downtown Jax. Lots of cars and lots of foot traffic. Nice old homes on the side streets. We were seated promptly and welcomed by our friendly server. We ordered a Tito's on the rocks and a Stella. Cocktails and ice water arrived promptly. Great pour on the Tito's. We ordered a blue cheese crusted beef medallions with garlic mashed and veggie stack plus the redfish on chilled Asian noodles. Both entrees were good. Nothing special. Time for dessert - I went with our server to the pastry case where she gave me a rundown of the dozen or so cakes. Too many choices. I selected a chocolate with chocolate icing and a chocolate cake with salted caramel frosting. When the cakes arrived, I thought there'd be no way we could finish them. I was wrong. Both were delicious. I should not have chosen two chocolate cakes - but oh well. We kept eating until the plates were empty. By 6:30 when we were leaving, the place had filled up. $120 with tip was appropriate for the food and service. It was good, I'd say we might try it again but for lunch - and split a dessert. read more

TLDR: HORRIBLE customer service.. not worth the grief. There are plenty of other places around Jax to get delicious desserts and actually value their customers and treat them with grace and respect. It's Christmas Eve, we're having our family gift exchange, and since you can't have a proper get together without an abundance of desserts, my wonderful cousins offered to pick up a plethora of items from Biscottis. We ordered a total of 9 items, one of them being a slice of the pink champagne cake which was my specific request. Desserts are my weakness and here I am thinking about this cake all day. I've never tried it from here before, but I had super high hopes that I was just going to love it. Fast forward to post gift exchange when we're ready do dive into desserts... I start going through the boxes looking for it and to my despair, IT'S MISSING! My highly anticipated cake slice is basically the dessert version of Casper the Ghost. Despite my disappointment, it's Christmas Eve and late in the evening, so no harm no foul. Yes, we should have checked the bag beforehand, but we also assumed that the restaurant would get it right. We figured that it would be easy enough and we could just reach out to the restaurant after Christmas and at least get a refund for the cake. The holidays are crazy and everyone makes mistakes, and with 9 items and a long line, it was probably just an oversight. Unfortunately, we were dead wrong. Apparently it's restaurant policy to not offer a refund, replacement or even an apology if you don't reach out to them the same day. Under most circumstances I could potentially understand this, but it was Christmas Eve and then Christmas day! Calling about a missing slice of cake was certainly not on the top of the priority list. The GM who spoke to my cousin was rude, condescending, and lacked any accountability or remorse. Even a simple explanation of the policy paired with a sincere apology would have worked, but nope.. there was nothing offered. If this is the representation of this restaurant, there are plenty of other places around town to get quality desserts. Highly disappointing. read more

Biscottis is a go-to for a GNO, birthdays, and date nights. Their desserts are yummy. The food is really good. My shrimp salad was good, but the shrimp were cold and I wish they would've been hot and fresh. I guess Burger King spoiled me with their hot, grilled chicken for their salad. lol! Pizza is always good. The price of a slice of any dessert is now $12, which seems a bit steep. I know prices are up, but at $12 a slice that is $96 out of the whole cake because they get at least 8 slices. The slices used to be bigger, too. I feel like $8 a slice is reasonable and that would be about $64 a cake, which would still bring in a solid profit. But, alas, people will definitely buy the desserts at $12 a slice because they are reliably delicious. It's made me a better baker though because $12 a slice...ehh. read more

We went here for lunch on a Saturday and got seated right away. The service was really friendly right of the bat. We ordered: "Cowford ground" burger - an above average burger, juicy patty, supple bun, what's not to like Apple-dill chicken salad wrap - really fresh! Almonds were a nice crunchy surprise Black Rose - they didn't have blackberries, so instead did it with strawberries, and mon dieu it was amazing. Fruity not too sweet! Holiday in the Sun - a meaty cocktail, that sweet potato purée is delicious! Almost makes it savory. Loved this one, really unique flavor Then the cakes. We got: Grand Marnier Pink Champagne Salted Caramel - Chocolate MY FAVORITE White chocolate raspberry We them all sorry no pictures!! They even walk you over and talk you through your cake selection. My boyfriend and I had Biscotti's for our Easter dinner. Plans got canceled so we scrambled to find a place. We were able to get a reservation pretty easy. I've eaten here for lunch and my bf has only had their cakes. Let me tell you their dinners blew us away. I had the pork chop with carmelized apple butter sauce, sautéed green beans and baked Mac & cheese. The pork chop was cooked perfectly and the sauce was superb. Loved the green beans. The Mac n cheese was ok. I would have preferred the garlic mashed potatoes instead. I feel it would have paired better with the flavorings. My boyfriend had the chicken francaise with garlic mashed potatoes and swapped the haystack veggies for the baked Mac & cheese. He loved his chicken and mashed potatoes. He also agreed the Mac and cheese was just ok. We sampled each others meals and also agreed how amazing they were. Our server was good. We did have to flag her down for a drink refill and to order cake to go but she seemed like she had a ton of tables. Maybe they were short because it was a holiday. If you've only been to Biscottis for their dessert case, you're missing out on a great breakfast/brunch menu. I went this morning and got the Cajun Seafood Benedict. It's crawfish, crab, and shrimp on a mini croissant topped with gruyere, poached eggs, and a citrus hollandaise. Probably one my favorite Benedicts in recent memory. For the sides, I got the Parmesan hashbrown potatoes and cheesy grits. Mah wife thought I should get some veggies to balance out the carbs so I got a fresh slice of carrot cake. Came back here again today, catching up with friends for lunch. Their menu has changed since the last time I came. The place is small, nice, and clean with an ambient atmosphere. My friends and I were greeted right away and was seated. Minutes later, out waitress came, got our drinks and took our orders. I got the cowford burger with a side of caesar salad. The burger was good. Wished I had some ketchup/mustard with it. Without it, I felt like it was a little bland for my taste. But, other than that, it was a decent burger. The caesar salad was good. What I loved most is the turkey burger patty was made in the back, not a frozen bought patty. Like most food I don't mind paying for food if it's quality. Was greeted with a smile and an extreme sense of urgency. Sat at the table for a good 10 min before the server came over and says, "what do you guys want?"...it was her saying of speeding thru the service as she noticed we had menus while she finishing her other tables. Once we didn't answer right away, she then goes "I'll be back with waters" before any of us could get a sentence out. Never even got the name of the server until after placing dinner orders. How have I lived here for years and not tried Biscottis? My sis-in-law was in town for a family matter and it's her birthday today (oh- gotta text her), but she was leaving town yesterday! So she did her research because the woman loves CAKE. And what better place to go for brunch than Biscottis. She made reservations- we selected an assortment of brunch dishes. Creme Brulee French Toast- good gracious, the portion was HUGE! daunting in fact. I spread some around the table so everyone could try a bite. I ordered the hashbrowns and homemade sausage as my sides. Kelly got herself the Biscottis omelet with hashbrowns and sausage. She finished her omelet! The sausage was delicious and she shared with her husband. The hash- had onion and zucchini! Not something we expected- but delicious. John went with the standard- corned beef hash breakfast with scrambled eggs, bacon and rye toast. Paul got steak and eggs and said the medallion steaks were perfectly cooked. Dad got the Croissant ham-egg-cheese sandwich with the hashbrowns on the side and fresh fruit Kelly and I got the dessert tour and selected a few cakes to try! Kelly picked the Pink Champagne cake, vanilla with a Moscato icing (she ended up not being crazy about it- but the rest of the table thought it was good) and the Salted Caramel Chocolate cake- good gracious, that one was fantastic! I went with the Grand Marnier Tropical Cake- loved the cake, the icing is cream cheese based and I can eat a few bites of that icing and then I am done. When I first moved to the area every time I would dine at Biscotti's, it was impeccable. It is declined in my personal experience the last several times I've been there. The food has come out cold nearly every time. The service has most definitely declined. They're putting less attention into presentation for sure. It just seems their eye is off the ball. First impressions upon entering is that the Interior isn't really cohesive. Everything is dark colored and lights were dimmed so that's their way of meshing everything together. I ordered the double smash burger and at $18 I was hoping it would be a bit bigger. Adding fries to the burger is an additional $1.. why?.. Burger was great, but wasn't enough to fill me up. I spent most of my dining experience with an empty glass so that's my comment on the service. I took 4 different cake slices home with me. At $12 a slice..this place is definitely lacking. Went to Biscottis for lunch on new year's eve. As we enter the restaurant, we were welcomed with a display of various cakes. Let me start with our lunch order, we started with crab and artichoke fondue dip. This appetizer is addicting, you just want to keep eating it. For my entree, I had the chicken salad wrap which is excellent. It is fresh and not overpowered with mayonnaise taste. We also ordered the cowford burger with Parmesan fries which was cooked perfectly. The sirloin steak salad was tasty and the kid's meal chicken fingers is a good size order. Now for the cakes, the pink champagne cake is phenomenal. I thought I would not be able to finish the slice but since it is so good, nothing for me to take home. It is not very sweet. The Oreo Mousse is very light and my kid loved it. The chocolate peppermint cake is also good if you are a fan of mint chocolate chip flavor. Our server is very attentive and have great personality. Located downtown Avondale, parking is hit or miss, but We always find a spot! This is my "go to" for coffee and dessert. My favorite is the toasted coconut cake. A light sponge cake layered with extra light whipped cream frosting. It's sweet and delicate. Not overly sweet but perfect! The toasted coconut on top is just enough!
