I stopped by for the first time for a lunch pick-up on 4/6/22 (Wed), when I was particularly craving for butter chicken. I ordered online for: samosa, butter chicken, garlic naan and Guntur chicken palou. When I picked up the order, I was told that the palou was only available on Fri/Sat/Sun. They allowed me to substitute with another 'special biryani' on the menu. I chose the 'biryaniz special chicken biryani'. I waited another 10 minutes for the dish. I would've appreciated a call beforehand to let me know. But good thing I didn't have anything pressing except hunger, so I didn't much mind. -Samosas- it came in 3pcs per order. It had good flavor, crispy and good ratio of dough and filling. I just wished it came with the usual tamarind sauce and mint sauce that I like dipping them in. -Butter chicken- each order already came with basmati rice which was a plus! Dish had good flavors that I am used to with other restaurants, with a blend of sweet/sour & creamy tomato sauce. I also like that it had enough chicken pieces and plenty of extra sauce for dipping my naan. -Garlic naan- I am used to getting warm, soft toasted bread with some garlic infused oil and bits of fresh garlic on top. But this came plain and oddly dry & crispy. I didn't want to call back and complain this time. My patience have grown even bigger during this pandemic. -Special Chicken Biryani- this might be less in price than the palou I paid for, but I didn't want the hassle of getting a refund so I was willing to forgive. But this was the star of the show that forgave all that was missed/lacking on my order. The perfectly caramelized onions on top added flavor to the dish. Even without the onions, I think the dish was well prepared and full of flavor! The dish earned this place some 4 stars. Overall, despite what was missed, I would come back and try other dishes on the menu. Happy to support local businesses and understanding that everyone is still just reeling from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. Next time might not be an off-day and may just prove to be much better...we all have those moments. Happy eating! read more

We've been ordering biryani takeout from this place for 2-3 years now and have always enjoyed it. Today we tried the tandoori chicken leg quarters for the first time and they were excellent - a bit too much seasoning for me personally, but still good. The chicken was very tender and not dry or over cooked At all. Note to everyone: the biryanis are SPICY so just order the regular or mild spice level. read more

Probably some of the worst, most inedible food I've ever had. Ate at the restaurant, food came out in little paper bowls or plastic boxes. Most of the meat we ordered was cartilage or bone. After we ordered, we were told half the stuff we ordered wasn't available. Told the staff about the food and they didn't apologize or offer any type of refund. Would never go here again. read more

RUDE, DIRTY & UNPROFESSIONAL. Workers weren't wearing masks or gloves. The woman working rudely told me to sit down and wait for my order meanwhile she was being super friendly and making conversation with another customer of her shared culture. I continued to wait patiently for an extra 15 min of waiting my order was finally ready and the woman working shoved the order into my arms leaving a scratch mark on my right arm. ???? Why did I get treated this way?? who knows. Luckily this food wasn't for me because it didn't look safe or satisfying to eat. It looked like they also use their restaurant seating as their own personal office??? We love the biryani from this place, super spicy and tasty and the portion size is huge (more than enough for 3 people easily). Our favorite is the Vijayawada Biriyani. The Gobi Manchurian and Tikka Masala are both also super tasty. The naan is on the smaller side so take that into consideration when ordering. read more

First of all, I'd like to say I don't like to leave bad reviews (especially during the pandemic) but I got this food like 3 hours ago and I couldn't wait till tomorrow to leave this review. Here's the order: Gongura Chicken Curry, Goat Curry, Chicken 65, Gobi Manchurian, Roti, and Vijaywada Boneless Chicken Biryani. Pros: There are not many pros but if any, the appetizers Gobi Manchurian and Chicken 65 were pretty average. Not good but not terrible either. Cons: The Vijaywada Biryani was cooked in a 1:1 ratio with Cardamom. Every bite tasted like Cardamom and was practically inedible. The Gongura Chicken had no flavor, the goat curry was DOUSED with salt. When I say doused, if you didn't have high blood pressure before, you will now. On top of that, we paid for 2 masala chai's (which are complimentary btw) -- too many spices especially, you guessed it cardamom. We spent over 60$ and could barely make a dent on the food. Overall, I'd say take your business elsewhere and if you absolutely have to eat here please keep some Tums / Milk of Magnesia with you cuz boy you're going to need it. read more

Their food is AMAZING!! I have never been a big curry person. Our Doctor we work with bought us Chicken Tikka Masala. It was the very BEST mouth watering food I have had in a long time. I am officially stuck on it. I work across the street from the restaurant and now I get it for lunch at least once or twice a week. Being a South Indian by birth, dosa has been a part of my routine breakfast. So seeing the masala dosa on the menu board at the Swades fair food stall, got us into buying one. The dosa was the paper roast type, with potato filling. But the dish was a bit disappointment for me as the potato filling was a masala curry instead of the aloo podimas. I live in Seattle and I was visiting my old friends in Bay Area. It was late in the night as we reached Dublin after a long drive all day and We all were super hungry. My friend recommended Biryaniz to try as we arrived there, the time was 12:30 - the restaurant was closed. The store manager Suresh had to reopen his register to take the Order for us ,as our friend knows him very well. I appreciate Suresh for everything he offered us that night , and the vijayawada paneer biryani was spicy, awesome and real Hyderabadi style. A very new place dedicate to Briyani's (Rice Pilaf). Quite a few veggie options and spice galore, if you like it. Informal order-at-counter place with very attentive service. In fact, staff was quite enthusiastic and went all out to ensure patrons feel good. Perhaps, they should slow down a bit and let their food do more talking. I ordered mild Veg Briyani, fearing the Andhra reputation of spicy. It turned out I may have been too cautious. The serving is huge. The chilly paste side dish picked quite a punch though. The yogurt raita side was great accompaniment for the spicy chutney. They refilled yogurt raita, which was in a kind of small container for a large rice serving anyways. This place is a go to place for few of my house parties recently. The Vijayawada cuisine is a good choice to go with for spice lovers. 8/10 on spice rank with 10 being the point you cry in spice .... I was up for this and ordered sweet lassi to go with it, but that's the menu item which I should have considered... I usually take very less sugar and the lassi had way too much sugar or my tongue might have been used to low sugar all these days. But overall, a good place for a days meal and you have good variety of options. I tried the gobi Manchurian here and it has been my least favorite. A friend and I decided to give this place a shot. From the outside, it resembles a Taco Bell type of building and could easily be missed. Inside decor is simple, but pleasant. There is a self-serve plastic utensil and paper plate area, which is probably due to C19. Though, it wouldn't be a bad idea to have hand sanitizer next to this section. We weren't familiar with the different types of biryani, and the host explained the variations. They also had the popular samosas, curries, kebabs, butter chicken, and tikki masala. We ordered samosas, chicken tikki masala, veggie paneer, and amarathi egg biryani. The samosas came out fast and piping hot, but needed a sauce. I asked for a sauce, and not being specific enough, got ketchup. Not what I was expecting, but I could've been more specific. NBD. Everything except the chicken tikki masala came out next, along with two sauces: yogurt and maybe a type of curry? There's the sauce I wanted. Everything was flavorful, but could've been a little more spicy. About twenty minutes later, the chicken tikki masala and rice was brought to our table, and in all honesty, we were confused... thinking we already received everything ordered. Our waiter showed us the order and we realized, yes, in fact we didn't get it! By then, we were already full and asked for to go containers. But, we each had a spoonful just to taste it. Our family's favorite here is the weekend special Guntur Chicken Pulao and Gongura mutton curry which is a yummy combo at its best :) Though our first experience here was not good (which we still don't understand how biryani had buffalo sauce flavor) we gave a try after few months and were lucky to find this combo. The Hyderabadi one is too spicy, couldn't feel my tongue after the meal and my stomach was burning. The amaravati version was less spicy but the taste is so bad- one of the worst biryani ever. We ordered the Biryaniz special biryani and it the base under rice was undercooked yogurt based gravy that was very yougurt looking and yet very spicy. The wierdest biryani we had in a while. No, I would not go back. I waited for 30 mins in the line to clear and pickup my order, because there was only one person addressing pickup and he's on phone all the time and there were three people ahead of me.
