Taco truck specializing in birria located in Compton. This place has the vibe of a beloved neighborhood spot. I've read that the recipe/ method has been in the family for three generations. And lucky for this taco enthusiast, I am able to be the beneficiary of said recipe while supporting the family. Every order comes with a complimentary small fried bean taco, and the beans are a recipe from Barajas' grandmother, who died earlier this year. Ordering was super easy with the people being super kind and helpful. There's also some seating available set up on the corner of the lot where the truck is located. Of course, I had to order some of the birria tacos. I got a couple of the tacos which came with a side of consome, the small fried bean taco, and a couple of salsas and the other accoutrements/ toppings. As expected these tacos and everything that came with them was delicious. Big fan of this place. read more

This place was recommended by my coworker and it didn't disappoint! Everyone was so welcoming, the food (especially the goat) was AMAZING it tasted really good and did not leave any after taste. The broth was nice; you can easily drink it by itself and is a good addition to the quesabirria. They also have chairs and tables, which allows their costumers to sit and relax while eating or waiting for the food. Overall, I recommend going to this place. I went hunting for this truck with my bf cause his mom said it's delicious and she wasn't kidding. I got the Birrieria ramen & was soooooooo good. The service was pretty quick too considering the amount of people they were serving. Where do I begin with this? Let's start of eating it right away. I heard about the place and decided to try it out. No doubt, one of the best birria. We got here around 9a on a Friday. Parking is of by a market, can be tough but street parking is available. Go here early to avoid long lines and wait times. We ordered taco and taco dorado (goat and beef). Consome is delicious and so are the tacos. Goat is definitely delicious, I would get the goat itself dip it in their consome. Yum! Will definitely go back here and recommend it for early bird. I had the honor and privilege of trying most of their menu and it was hands down the BEST Birria I've ever had. The L.A. Times Food team has been working on curating a list of L.A.'s Best Tacos and Birrieria Barajas is in the Top 10 list! It's 100% family operated and they were the kindest people. Customer service was phenomenal and when I got there, I heard a lot of happy and excited customers. After learning their story, I was moved. I will definitely come back here whenever I'm in Compton. Their taquitos de frijol was my favorite along with their quesabirria de chivo. The place was clean and they've done a great job at establishing themselves within the community. What can I say about this place, well food is good but the service is absolutely devastating I was on my way to order food today in the morning and I saw the employees arguing with a customer and it escalated fast to where the OWNER of the place launch an Onion to the client well ex client to his vehicle And I told my wife is this the place where I want to eat before work? This place is a gem. My son and I had the best birria quesa tacos. The tacos are cooked in a sauce until they are lightly crispy. Served on a plate with a wonderful surprise of a small bean taco. Mark Wiens and Mexi Papi brought me to this place. I was excited to try goat birria as I've only had beef birria. We got there around 11:00 am and it was busy. By the time we got there, we were told they only had the short bone left. It didnt matter to me, I just wanted to try it. Please note, they only take cash and the wait is about 30 minutes. They do have a help wanted sign on the truck so be patient with them. We got a few things but I would pass and just order the birria. The asada taco was eh and we order a taco where the shell was made of cheese (I dont know the name of it). The cheese shell taco was salty but they packed on the birria. The goat birria was great. Well my vision was way off and it was a food truck by the way. But still well worth my dream. OMG NO CHICKEN LOL. My friend was down in the dumps but I was in heaven. Soooooo goooooooooooooooood. I had a craving for authentic "birria de chivo". I checked out some yelp reviews and found this place. Never thought I could order ahead for pick up from a food truck, but guess what? I did! Customer service was great, but the best part was the great tasting authentic Birria!! I ordered a plate, some fried tacos and their quesadillas with Birria.
