It's sooo good. My mom ordered pescado, my gringa wife ordered pollo y carne, and my brother ordered steak con maduros, Fritos y papas.... They even have cacao y pinol. All sandy n grainy like grandma made. We have been to the few other Nicaraguan restaurants around. One over by Loyola high school off Olympic, funky location, difficult to get into. The Gallo Pinto in Azusa, which is an easier location to get into with a mix of Nicaraguan and Mexican food. And now we have found this location. And after enjoying all three, I will tell you that this food wise and service wise is the most authentic and flavorful choice. It is five star of Nicaragua food preparation. The only drawback is it's location, nothing you could do about that. My mom's in a wheelchair makes it a little bit challenging to get in because it's not ADA friendly.
