Overcharges, poor customer service, and dry and chewy meat will do it to ya. On our recent visit, I ordered the churrasco as I always do. Unfortunately, about half of the meat was so dry that I couldn't even cut through it. My steak knife was no match for this leathery protein. I mean it was so bad that I was about to send it back. If we hadn't been quickly dining with my cousin who was trying Sabor for the first time, I definitely would have. Thankfully, the other half of the steak was decent. However, because the steak was so dry, I asked if I could have a little more chimichurri. I only wished they would have alerted me to the added $2 charge that would come along with this small portion of chimi. Aside from the steak, the thing that really got me was the "inaccurate" prices on the menu and their decision not to honor them. Two of the three dishes we ordered were charged differently than they were priced on the paper menu. Each dish was charged at ~ $2- $3 above what was listed on the menu. If she had known, my lady would have ordered a completely different dish. When I brought the price discrepancy to the attention of one of the employees, they were surprised at the difference in prices. They stated they would let "them" know and proceeded to the back of the restaurant. When they returned they basically said that the prices were raised and they had not reflected it on the menus. When I pushed back that they should honor the prices on the menu, she again went to the back, but returned with the same result. Prices change and I get that, but if you're using paper menus that can easily be reprinted, you should update the menus, or honor the prices that you post. Hopefully they've updated their menus and reconsider this kind of approach to their customer service.

Unfortunately, this visit was very disappointing. I ordered nacatamales to go and was given one that was not fully cooked. My mom ate some of it and didn't realize it until after she had eaten some of the masa and noticed that the rice and pork inside were still undercooked. She later became ill. Undercooked pork can pose a serious health risk, so this was especially concerning. To make matters worse, my mom used the restroom and noticed toilet paper in the trash that had fecal matter on it. It was extremely unhygienic and honestly disgusting. The only positive thing I can say about this visit was that the customer service was good. Unfortunately, the food safety and cleanliness issues overshadowed that, and I would not feel comfortable returning.
