My favorite place for mani/pedis - clean, prompt, great nail colors that never seem old or thinned out. They use high quality products and your manicure/pedicure shows. This is the only place where my nails will still look nice a week, even two weeks later. I'm the type of girl where one load of dishes equals death to my nails - gloves or not! so it says a lot if my manicure lasts more than a few days! The price cannot be beat. read more

This place has gone downhill! The last few times I've gone there for a pedicure the wait has been 30 minutes or more. Most of the time i just leave without waiting, but yesterday there was no one in the waiting area when I got there so I waited. It ended up being 35 minutes before I got my pedicure. One technician that seemed free was doing her own toenails. The technician i had was rude and unfriendly and did a mediocre job at best. She and the technician next to her kept talking amongst themselves in their language. In the past, the technicians were always friendly and professional and the wait was rarely more than 15 minutes even when they were busy. Also, it's gotten kind of dumpy and dirty. They expanded to fit more pedicure chairs, but they seem to have sacrificed cleanliness. The only positive thing left about this place is that it's a little cheaper than other places. But frankly, I'd rather pay a little more to get prompt and friendly service! read more

Pretty decent pedicure. Not the best ever, but by far not the worst. Comfortable atmosphere (replete with those massage chairs and plenty of magazines to read while you get pampered!), decent price, and a talented staff make this place worth a visit. I went in for a shellac manicure, and they did such a great job! My nails were pretty short, but my technician really took her time and did an amazing job. In the past, this type of manicure has only lasted a few days before starting to lift and maybe a week and half before I had to remove the polish. My manicure from Birmingham Nails lasted three weeks! Everyone was very friendly, and they had a ton of colors to choose from. read more

Giving them 3 stars because my lady was friendly, but to be honest - unless I'm desperate to get my nails done I will not be coming here again. It's day three or four of my Shellac and it's chipped on three nails. Also, when I walked in, the entire staff was going back and forth about who was next... I'm sorry, I thought this was a place of business that you came to make money, not act like your mommy is making you pick who does he chores this time. Lol skip them of you want professional care. this has been my go-to nail salon since moving to the area but now i'll have to look elsewhere. the last few visits have been rushed despite making an appointment, my gel manicure barely lasts over a week and as does the pedicure, and the nail techs are unprofessional speaking amongst each other leaving you to think they're trash talking you and all the other customers. i'm not convinced their tools are properly sterilized plus i was grossly over charged last time i went. i'm looking for a new salon now. read more

So, the positives: Open on Sunday Takes appointments Relatively inexpensive, it was $40 for a mani/pedi combo Very nice and welcoming vibe to the salon, the nail technicians were friendly and took care to clean up the nails after done painting them The negatives however, and this is always been a personal gripe of mine, when I ask for a soft square and the nails are not filed evenly. I even asked a friend of mine to look at them in case it was just me. So I ended up having to correct the appearance of the nails, which means filing after they were painted and now two days after the manicure the paint is chipping. Also, on the pedicure one of my toes was clipped all the way down which looks odd since all of the other nails are longer. I'll probably be back since the salon is so close to my house but I might ask for a different nail tech before I come to a complete judgment. read more

Pros- Nice environment Excellent service Good price Good parking Cons- I am not sure if it was only me. I got my pedicure done on saturday around 4, and when i got ready to go out for dinner around 7 and wore my shoes, i messed up my toe nails. Henceforth i called on sunday and asked if someone could fix them for me?! Whoever picked up the phone was very polite and i went back to get it done. So when i went there, the girl who did help me was rude, uninterested and rather messed up my toe nails even worse. She did not remove the paint, but over did it by repainting on the already messed up nails. Such a horrible job she did. I felt awful. i would love to go there again, but will not get anything done from that 'one' girl out there. I think she is the manager or something. read more

If you are looking for a new nail salon... don't bother. I am sure existing customers think this place is wonderful, however, as a new client I would disagree. First time I called to set an appointment I was placed on hold for 10 minutes while I listen to two people have a full conversation about nothing. I assumed they just forgot someone was on hold. I called back a few days later and made an appointment. Was great, nice friendly, clean very satisfied. Made another appointment. Came in, wrote my name, was not greeted, was not offered shellac colors to choose from, nothing. As If I did not exist. I waited for 40 minutes as 2 existing clients came in, they knew them by name, and had technicians ready. Finally I said I had an appointment and it's been 40 mins, apparently there was a box I'm suppose to check for walk in or appointment.... which I selected neither. For the whole 40 minutes I sat there, not one person said anything to me. Not a time frame, not an apologize for waiting so long.. not sure they have even knew my name, or If they cared for any new business. My nail salon closed down before the pandemic and I have been searching for a new place to bring my business to. This will not be one of them. read more

Nobody had the decency to come over and tell me that Amanda was running behind, or even offer to get me with another nail technician. Heck Amanda could've come over and told me herself that I would be waiting a half hour. Complete crickets from everyone. Very rude and unprofessional. I'm done with this place. This place checks all my boxes. Staff is welcoming, place is clean and inviting, pedi chairs have all the right message instruments. Well appointed design in a calm environment. The pedicures are done very well and every time I've been here I've been completely satisfied. I get shellac and have been very satisfied with this service. It's put on very thinly and lasts at least 2 weeks. Overall a good experience and highly recommend. read more

the salon is very clean. The pedicure tubs are washed after every use The staff are very professional and talented sometimes they could get silly and they joke around with clients. My friend went there and the polish lasts pretty long compared to other salons. in the winter they add on warm towels and for a spa pedicure which consists of awesome scrubs and hot towels and a longer massage for $40. There are some new people i didn't have yet but i'm sure they're fine. :) read more

I ended up signing in with no greeting and after 25 minutes of waiting and two magazines, I gave up. They took three people on the waiting list before me and never even acknowledge my existence. I've been to Birmingham Nails twice, both times as a walk-in, and found it an overall positive experience. The technicians at Birmingham Nails work quickly but capably. The technicians are cordial, but not overly friendly, so if you are looking to incorporate a "therapy session" with your manicurist, this place would not be for you. The establishment seemed clean and well maintained. They carried lots of modern/current polish colors. I thought the prices were competitive with other salons. There is a young "vibe" to Birmingham Nails even though there are customers of all ages. There parking is onsite and accessible which is a big plus when driving in the city of Birmingham. I would definitely go back to Birmingham Nails and would recommend it to others. read more

Birmingham nails is my favorite place to get my nail done, including pedicures. All the girls are great, but I often see Mary. You can walk in or make appointments and usually I make an appointment so I can get in and out when I want. Birmingham nails is also sanitary and I watch them clean the pedicure bowls after each person, something that is very important to me! Check it out, their prices are great too....$15 for a mani, $25 for a pedi, well worth it! read more
