We have never gone through getting a new roof. Fortunately Birdcreek came highly recommended through our Nextdoor app. Chase came out and literally walked us through each step. Good thing too as it can be a bit of a process. Chase came out with our insurance adjuster and walked the roof with him. He then continued to work closely with our adjuster through the whole process. The roofing team arrived and were respectful of our property. They took great care to retrieve excess materials, especially leftbover nails. They put a new roof on my house after a tornado. All seemed good. Until 3 weeks ago when I noticed water running down my drywall after continuous heavy rains for several days. Insurance send out an emergency repair group who tells me that the vents on my roof were not sealed and flashed. They had to cut 4 holes in my ceiling, remove insulation, and run fans and dehumidifiers for a week. There was a softball sized spot of mold directly underneath one of the vents where water had slowly leaked in for almost 2 years. Now I'm stuck with a deductible and the repair bill for an issue that was created apparently by Birdcreek. Birdcreek came out to the house and said I don't know how this happened but those vents should not have been reused after the tornado. All I want is my ceiling restored to the condition it was in before Birdcreek caused additional damages. They won't respond. Thanks Birdcreek. read more

It has been a year, and the smell of off-gassing and the old roof materials that Brad Otts' team flung all over our property is permeating our home. It's the OSB board, yes. Formaldehyde adhesive. It's also the two layers of roof they tore off and flung everywhere, and we had to write an email to request get cleaned up. They didn't clean it all up, even after we said, Hey what about all this? It's all the debris they left in our attic--YES, they left it there for my husband to try to clean up. Every time it rains, all the debris left around our home and on our soil starts smelling and invading our life. How sickening it is to come home and dread how it will smell. Ladies, you have to have a better option than Birdcreek roofing. We will have to move to get away from the results of their work. Don't believe that they are "sending their best team." He started with the roof but started looking at things I had not even thought of. His diligence looking after our problems wound up saving us a pile of money and time. Like many of us, I had hail damage from the storm in March. I reached out to a bunch of roofers, but none compared to Bird Creek. I get so annoyed by companies that offer online forms of communication and just reply with "please call us". I am on the phone all day at work and Scott was so easy to reach via email or text. It resulted in us having to leave the house for over 4 hours each night. It made the atmosphere in the house 90% CO2 carbon-monoxide. Thank the good Lord that there were 2 CO2 detectors that alerted us only after inhaling CO2 for hours. My wife and two granddaughters still have a stifling cough do to inhaling the CO2. I have attached the photos of the disconnected pipes. When the roofer had trouble with the water heater vent pipe i asked and he went into the attic and said it was good. Birdcreek Roofing is just amazing! This whole roofing experience has been nothing but a nightmare! While the work done by the actual roofers was good. The rest of the incident was horrific. I initially asked about the TPO replacement since our insurance denied the claim I paid out of pocket due to a consistent. I asked in the beginning about both sides being done, in which I was reassured that it was only one side so as not to waste money because they guaranteed it was the one side and not the side under the deck. I listened to the "professionals" My roof was completed with the insurance payment in December. In February, there was a leak in the room, so they just redid the work. I went back and forth with Marshall, and they came to look at it and said, "it's not our work" it is, in fact, the other side. I should have gone with my gut and did both sides, as the deck was being replaced anyways. I also made mentioned the TPO having wrinkles in it, and I was upset about that as well. But he said it wasn't Birdcreeks fault. It's indeed the other side but we have enough TPO to redo the other side. I still wasn't satisfied and decided to go with another company. But since their reputation was being put on the line Marshall suggested refunding $2500. Well, being that the one side was done and they didn't wanna assume responsibility I thought best to allow them to do the other side so that it will all fall on them and not this company vs. that company. He drew up an estimate of $5k for the other side after paying a little over $3k for the initial side. In the same invoice he sent, he also included the remaining balance left for the insurance payout- that we owed $12,964.13 (february 27, 2023) so since Monday Ive been inquiring about the payment form to submit the payment above and it's reading $14,193.86. Neither one of these shows the reduced amount of $2500.. That he offered to alleviate the stress caused and in fact the payment went higher.. Watch how I'm about to work this out.. This is bad business, especially when I have the receipts. So my roof still has a leak and now you're wanting more than you originally quoted. Make this make sense.. read more

In May 2023 we hired Bird Creek Roofing, on the recommendation of one of our neighbors, when our old roof showed signs of damage. Brad Otts came out and chalked notes on the shingles to show damaged areas, took a ton of photos of the roof, uploaded everything to a gallery online and sent us a link with detailed notes of how to open a claim with our insurance company. Brad met the insurance adjuster on the day they were scheduled to inspect the roof and thankfully, the insurance company covered the entire cost of the replacement, minus our deductible. Brad is very detail orientated and he was instrumental in conveying all the necessary information to the adjustor. It was a complicated job, as we have twenty solar panels on our south-facing pitch and flat roof, which needed to be removed and re-attached. Brad took care of coordinating the inspection and quote by the solar company, as well as scheduling the work and payment. We also needed to verify our water heater and furnace ventilation risers were up to code and while we scheduled with our usual plumber, we used Brad's suggested HVAC contractor for the furnace riser. Included in the cost of the roof was the price of standard dimensional shingles, as well as new gutters. We chose a lovely pewter gray shingle and beautiful silver galvalume gutters with round/tubular downspouts. They look FANTASTIC! In previous years, we had the entire attic spray-foam sealed, so there was no longer a need for attic ventilation, and these were going to be removed. However, we always wanted to install bathroom exhaust fans in our 1950's house, so now was the time to add those roof vents and we used Brad's suggested electrician and HVAC contractors for this job. This was one of the extra projects we added, when everything was being installed and we're so glad we did! Another extra project was opting to have the decking of our flat roof removed, insulation added (yes, when the addition was built in the 1960's, they didn't insulate it) and new decking added back. This project has ensured the temperature of our family room stays at a constant temperature with the rest of the house, whereas prior, it always needed the help of a ductless mini-split air conditioning system. The additional insulation and decking were well worth the investment! We could NOT BE HAPPIER with the outcome! We have an incredible new roof, and it has added to the beauty and comfort of our home in spades! Brad was an ABSOLUTE PROFESSIONAL and I've threatened to hire him for other projects in the future, completely unrelated to roofing :) I highly recommend Brad Otts and Bird Creek Roofing. I noticed these guys when they did new roofs for some of my neighbors. When I needed a roof, I made the decision to hire them based on the job quality I had seen earlier. Can't regret my decision to not waste any time on other companies. They showed up on time and got right to work in 30-degree temperatures. The entire crew was professional, polite and thorough. James was my contact with the company and what really impressed me was when he showed up with hot coffees for the entire crew. A bit later he was back with fresh homemade tamales for them. Did I mention it was freezing outside? I don't remember the last time I saw a company treat their workers like they were truly valued as they should be. When the roof was done, they also worked like law enforcement combing a crime scene cleaning not only my yard, but also my neighbors' yards, retrieving junk blown by the wind. I live in Austin and needed a new roof. I got a recommendation from my sister who had used them and liked them. I called and liked the work they did. I called and Eddie Willis arrived. He did a detailed inspection and gave me an estimate for the roof on my house and shed and gutters for the house. Due the pandemic shortage and supply chain disruptions, we had to wait about two months to get the roof. when construction began, Eddie showed up with the crew and supervised the replacement. I told my wife it looked like a bunch of ants on the roof! Eddie's crew was fantastic.. They were super fast and efficient, doing the roof replacement on the shed and house in one day! After our roof experienced storm damage, the insurance company took 5 months to complete the claim. This required myltiple cycles of submitting and resubmitting photo evidence and requests to supplement their original low balled offer. Chris H. was instumental in helping me deal with the insurance company and navigate the claim process. The crew arrived early in the morning and performed a full tear off, replaced decking and facia and painted to match. Next, they installed a new roof, vents, drip edge, etc.. The crew was polite, worked hard, and completed everything in 1.5 days. I was pleasantly suprised by their cleanup. They did a very nice job. I would like to thank DJ Davis with Birdcreek Roofing for doing preventative maintenance on our roof. I honestly never knew that type of service existed until DJ offered it. We needed to replace our roof so we interviewed 5 roofers. Out of those Steven and Brad from Bird Creek stood out from all the rest for their attention to detail in answering the questions we had asked, visiting multiple times to address specific areas of concern. We had already decided to use them based on the trust built, when a raccoon or windstorm put a hole in our roof in the meanwhile. Steven and Chelsea to the rescue!! The put a temp fix up to hold us until the work could be done. Our roof was a mess and included flat surfaces that were the source of most of our headaches. had the house and patio roofs replaced, and prior to the new patio roof, there was no rain dripping on the patio on the front edge. after the new roof, it leaks between the gutter and the facia board. roofers insist it's the gutters, and guttermaxx says it's the roof. birdcreek suggests i caulk it to stop the leaking. i'm 72 and am not about to get on a ladder to do that. In addition to the leaking front, there is a leak where a nail was placed and they have not come to seal that. tired of contacting them now. i'm mostly happy but disappointed in the patio cover. read more
