Would be a zero.chicken is hard as a rock not juicy and dry the bacon raw not crispy...will never buy again

I was looking forward to trying this new place, but was sadly disappointed. Although they have friendly staff and colorful decor, the main attraction--food--was subpar. Ordered via the drive thru a Grilled Caesar sandwich meal with fries and a drink. After a 15 minute wait the food was delivered to my car. The best thing for me was the tea, being a southern girl that is a big one. The fries were seasoned and a tad on the salty side, but okay. My greatest disappointment was the sandwich. The chicken breast was way too dry and tough, the sandwich overall tasted bland. With so many chicken options out here I will pass on Birdcall in favor of Chik-fil-a, Cane's and Popeye's. read more

I've been looking forward to this place... Chicken sandwiches, one of my favorite things on the planet. It was OK... That is the best way I could describe it. I went about 1130 1145. The chicken was crispy. However it was dry. I ordered the plain sandwich. But I do not appreciate is the fact that they charge you for any kind of a sauce that you want to accompany your sandwich . The staff was not friendly at all. I told the lady that it was my first time and asked a question about the food and I'm pretty sure I knew as much about the menu as she did. She wasn't rude at all, but I'm not even sure why she was there.... It's completely self-service. Meh... doubtful I'll be back... nothing I would go out of my way for sure. read more

Update on my review based on the owners response: they didn't even READ my review. At no point did I say I work for Dave's nor have I EVER worked for Dave's. I just made a suggestion as a consumer of where I would personally go eat instead. I stand by what I said. Not only was the food horrendous, but clearly the service and the terrible attitude of the owner stands out based on their response to honest criticism. How unprofessional! This place is BRAND NEW. I'll have to come back and try again, but it will be a bit because I hate spending my money on something I'm pretty sure can't change. But I do it anyway. I've never been here before. And it's really close to where I work. I came here so that I could give it a try. And when I pulled up to the drive-thru, I could immediately tell that it is very similar to chick fil A. Maybe my expectations were a little high. But I really wanted to love this place. There are no good food options close. Pros: They have fresh tasting ice tea. If you need an alternative to the cheap gas staion of a 1,000 flavors that's close by, you have this place until they don'tclean their equipment properly, and it starts treating horrible. They also have decent bird sauce. Their version of a 1,000 island style frysauce Cons: Nothing is free, not even sauce. I don't know about ketchup, but everything was sold separately. They say they put it in a meal but it was the same price. So I got a plain chicken sandwich with pickles. If you want sauce, it's 50 cents extra. If you want French fries, it's $2.75, and ice tea, I believe, was $2.25. I'm not 100% sure. Why? because the guy hands me my debit card back and says, "Oh, we can't print receipts." Ummmm, don't you think he should have told me that beforehand, I had cash. It is $13.77 total if memory serves. I was not impressed. Although fries were hot, they weren't fresh. I think they might have a very hot, warming light? IDK The chicken is definitely plain, and I wouldn't want to eat it without a sauce. I didn't finish the sandwich or the fries. That tells me everything. Don't bother, lt it will be an off Hwy food place is all. If the charge ends up being correct, I'll update to a 3......but that too is a hassle that I have to follow until it posts. read more

I went there for breakfast and ordered a spicy chicken biscuit sandwich and it was delicious. The biscuit was toasted and buttery, the chicken was flavorful and the tots were well seasoned and cooked to perfection. A week later I returned for breakfast, this time through the drive through, for breakfast. My commute from the restaurant to my chair at work is 5 minutes. I ordered the same thing bit the food was not. The biscuit tasted and felt chewy (as if it had been microwaved) the chicken tasted like nothing. The food was ok. The point of sale system is so slow, difficult to navigate, and somehow charged us twice. A friendly employee caught it in the kitchen and gave us a refund, thank goodness. I had the avocado caprese salad with grilled chicken and pesto vinaigrette. It tasted fine as long as I didn't look at it. The vinaigrette was completely pureed and looked like baby p**p.
