Doesn't some administration automatically come with EVERY business?
Guido K.

Loved place food, service and ambiance. But now, they charge 5% extra for administrational charges. 5% - fear tax and tip, of course. So they expect me to tip the administration? They must be kidding me. I'd rather have em raise their prices by 5% than doing this BS to me and the other customers. It's so sad - I can not go again. I just hate to be bullshitted. I do. Sorry, guys.

This place is right next to Pantages it is an easy place to grab a snack and drink before a show. They have a tasty burger and the cocktails are quality too. The sever we had last night was very helpful and nice.

I wanted everything on the menu!! The vibe of this place is SO cute. We walked past it a few times first before finding the entrance :P but once we found it, the inside was gorgeous. The food was delicious. We licked our plates clean. I want to come back to try more menu items and cocktails! Loved it so much.

My brother and I came here before a play at the Pantages, I was really curious to see what the new restaurant was that took the famous corner of Hollywood and Vine. Birdcage, while might be a call to the movie/musical of the same name, is in reference to their primarily chicken menu; a great thing to me who doesn't really eat red meat! Inside is stylish but still undergoing renovations, we got a tall table near the kitchen but we're able to still hear each other without screaming or leaning really close together so points there! Food was decent, though the most notable was for my brother with the fried chicken; crispy and tender but the sauce was amazing. Well priced, for a theatre dinner/lunch option this is really high on our list!

I'm so glad that this restaurant has reopened, if only for service associated with shows at the Pantages! It's close to the theatre, the food is great, the portions are generous, the prices are more than fair, especially for downtown Hollywood, and our server, Julie, made the entire experience a lot more fun! Our food choices were the Taps 33 Burger with fries and the Caesar Salad, to which we added chicken and avocado. The salad came with an entire chicken breast and half an avocado, and the fries were crispy, as requested. We will be back!

A great restaurant close to the theater. We stopped him for lunch before a Sunday matinee. We had the cutest, nicest, and most helpful waitress, Julie. It made the lunch experience even better. It appears that they're fixing the restaurant so there will be an upstairs also. I had the gem Caesar salad with anchovies and I added avocado and chicken. The amount of food they give you is incredible. My girlfriend had the burger and it was juicy and yummy. I would recommend this to anybody going to the theater because I believe that's the only time they're open. My girlfriend's birthday and we had lemon tarts for dessert which was the best I've ever eaten and I'm over 70 years old.

They are located on the historic corner of Hollywood & Vine. This is one of the closest restaurants to the Pantages Theater. We had passed by many times in the past year when going to shows at the Pantages Theater. I remember seeing huge birdcages around the tables however they are no longer there. It has a nice open space. Very cool staircase but it's blocked off at the top for renovations. There's a huge bar and bar seating. They have an unspecified added fee of 5% , which even the server couldn't explain what it was for. But, it definitely was NOT for a tip. We both ordered the 33 Taps burger for $16 each. There were no pickles on them (according to menu, it's supposed to have it) but lots of melty cheese, that looked like it was cooled off a bit and not hot gooey. The caramelized onions were nice. There's an extra $4 charge for bacon and $4 for fries, which was not very crispy or hot. Fries are not usually a separate charge. But, this burger ends up being $24 PLUS that added 5% change. Taste wise, it was okay. Temperature wise, it was warm, not hot. That's a lot for an okay burger and okay fries.

Arrived right at 5pm and was seated right away. Cute and modern aesthetic. Service was very welcoming and friendly by the host and server (Riley). Ordered the steak frites, mac and cheese and 9 oz of Pinot noir which came out to $88. Food came out quick and honestly everything tasted amazing. This was the perfect meal to enjoy before our show at the Pantages Theater.

Cute convenient spot next to the Pantages Theatre, decent food with a trendy vibe. We were a group a ladies coming from WICKED during the Holiday. We were greeted and seated quickly upon entering, we had a nice waiter and our food was good, the inside decor is very similar to the movie which was cool. Overall an okay experience.

Stopped before our matinee at the Pantages. Definitely recommend the short rib sandwich and the mac n cheese! If the mac n cheese is for a child, as to hold the pesto. BUT if it's for an adult, definitely get the pesto!

Dinner before seeing Hamilton at the Pantages. Nice welcome, seated right away no wait. Our server was Micah. He was very attentive and met all our requests with a smile. I ordered the Burrata & Beet Salad and the Chicken BLTA. The salad was absolutely fantastic. It was such a large portion. I was so full I didn't eat hardly any of my sandwich. The beet were roasted perfectly and the quinoa and arugula were lightly nutty along with the creamy burrata cheese! It truly was one of the best I have ever had and I always order this salad if it's on the menu. The vibe was really channeling South Beach Miami with the decor, lighting, furniture and even the staff's uniforms. Low lighting ambiance was really setting the mood to chill. No A/C since they kept their front doors open to invite passersby. Will definitely be back for another salad. There was a separate bar area that looked interesting but didn't have time to explore. Tip: Not really for kids/families. More small Groups, lunch or dinner with friends before the theatre or date night. Price: $$

Stoke buenaveza that I had one sip of, you can see the extreme amount of head that they served this with.

I had a much longer review written but it got erased... so here's the cliff notes. I can't think of a worse place to eat in Hollywood. Slow service - a "please wait to be seated" sign but no one watching the front. Not a long wait to get seated but an obvious one. - once we were seated felt like eternity before the waitress took our order. My mother kept thinking about leaving. - two drinks ordered a beer (pictured below) and a cranberry and soda. Took at least 10+ minutes for the cran soda and they forgot my beer, which the waitress didn't even know what it was by the way. When they finally brought my beer it was poured poorly and with a large amount of head. - waitress was clumsy. Dropped and broke a plate, then 5 minutes later dropped a, thankfully empty, tray. - largely empty restaurant. Not a good sign when there is a show at the Pantages just a few feet down the road. Avoid avoid avoid.

Stopped by for a drink before the Harry Potter show at the Pantages. The decor definitely gives off The Birdcage vibes, which adds to the fun atmosphere. We sat at the bar, surrounded by fellow theatergoers, creating a lively pre-show buzz. The cocktails were not only beautifully presented but also delicious. Service was excellent, friendly and efficient. A great spot for a pre-show drink!

I would say the burger meat could be a little more soft and tender, was just a touch overdone but that didn't ruin anything. I preferred my sandwich because I loved the crunch from the pistachios and the sweetness that came from the jam. It was a good size - I only ate about half and saved the rest for later. I originally thought that the amount of guanciale was lacking but it was still an overall well balanced sandwich so I didn't mind while eating. I enjoyed the mushrooms that came in the Colucci but wanted more of the eggplant flavor to come through. For both, I could tell the quality of the ingredients itself and the freshness of the bread - which is KEY! I also got a nutella canelé (which I've never tried) and that was the perfect sweet treat to end off my meal. DEF RECOMMEND! Before you even come in, you can smell the focaccia baking. I came here on a Saturday around 11am and there was no line - it took about 10 minutes to get my sandwiches and there was ample seating inside and out. Street parking was fine - metered and non metered spots all around. Would come again if i'm in the area!!

During a…read morelazy afternoon after visiting the Pantheon in Rome, we had our first experience with All'Antico after taking a 5 minute walk down the road. They actually had 2 separate locations flanking the pedestrian road, so there were two long lines snaking out in opposite directions. While we were waiting in line, we bumped into a couple from Spain who were also visiting. They gave my wife some personal recommendations, advising we get the blood orange soda with our sandwiches. After getting said sandwiches (the La Paradiso), we nibbled on them while walking to Sant'Ignazio of Loyola Church, which is that cathedral where there's a mirror directed up towards the murals on the ceiling and a huge selfie line. Hot damn were those sandwiches good. The thinly sliced mortadella paired perfectly with that buttery, green pistachio spread. The only challenge for my taste buds was the mild oral trauma I sustained from punching through the crispy bread; your gums started to feel it by the time you devoured your sandwich. But we liked it so much that when we later took the train to Florence, we sought All'Antico again at their original location. I thought that would be my last experience with All'Antico (unless, of course, I came back to Italy). So imagine my surprise when later that year I heard All'Antico had coincidentally opened a branch in Los Angeles, although rather awkwardly situated in Koreantown. Even though we live 30 minutes away, we made the drive immediately. There was no way this remote All'Antico location, thousands of miles from Italy, would live up to the experience I had in Rome earlier that year. But I was mistaken. Not only is the taste spot on, but the bread they serve is actually chewier and removed the gum calisthenics I suffered in Italy. And yes, they also have the blood orange soda as well. It's a little weird their location is in Koreatown, but not a big deal; we'll usually do a bingsu run afterward. Just like their locations in Italy, All'Antico is small but they do have a small collection of bar seats, some of which overlook the staff as they're making your sandwich. Be mentally prepared though to take it to go depending on how busy it is. Parking sucks too; there's street parking only, but if you come on Sunday you don't have to pay. Every so often now, we'll make the 30 minute drive just to relive that slice of Italy we experienced nearly 2 years ago. Thankfully, not a lot of people recognize how good this place is yet, as the lines aren't crazy long like they are in Italy. For all the other Yelpers in on it too, let's keep it our little secret for now.

Lunch rush came around 1:30pm. The workers were kind and helpful, each working diligently to complete everyone's order timely. I ordered the Mamma Mia, Dante, New Yorker--with Dante coming out as my fav. Shoutout to their truffle sauce, light yet not overbearing! Loved to see how they only use focaccia that just come out of the oven, and they cut your sandwich's meat from the meat hunk on an order basis. Very fresh, never greasy. I thought the Dante and Mamma Mia could improve by adding just one more ingredient as a cherry on top, like a sort of nut (walnuts, pine nuts) or something that helps the sandwich spark. Would love to see a bit more arugula too. No public bathroom--closest one is probably Hmart across the street (needs a code). Parking is metered, but there's free neighborhood parking 1-2 blocks away if you're able to find a spot. There's a few seats (5-6) and a standing bar around the perimeter of the store.
