Combo Plate With Lamb Momo and Chicken & Rice
    David S.

I found myself at the Ferry Plaza Farmers Market on a Thursday afternoon with just enough time to grab a quick lunch before it closed and I had to get to a meeting. I narrowed my choices down to Bini's Kitchen and its neighbor, SF Chickenbox. I don't eat Nepalese food very often, so the edge went to Bini's. I ordered the combo, and as I struggled to decide between chicken and lamb, the person taking my order said he'd give me both - he served me the lamb momo along with chicken and rice. The sauce was very tasty and a bit spicy, and I thoroughly enjoyed every bite. A combo plate costs almost $20, but it's a generous portion that lasted me for two meals. I would not hesitate to come back to Bini's at the farmers market. I may even check out their brick and mortar shop as well.

For a person taking the long trek up to Everest Base Camp, in freezing temperatures, air getting thinner with each step, and feeling a headache due to the altitude, there's nothing more comforting than some hot, freshly cooked Momo's. Actually anytime a person can get their hands on good momos whether on the mountain, Kathmandu, or the Ferry Building Farmer's Market on the weekend in San Francisco, it's a great thing. Bini's Kitchen fulfills all the momo and Nepalese cravings. I order the eight piece half lamb, half chicken momos and they were delicious. The best part is definitely the sauce they put on it which is slightly spicy and savory. The chicken momos are also better than the lamb if I had to choose one. Comforting and tasty dumplings. I would order it again and maybe next time the combo so I can get their sauce on the rice as well.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS PLACE SO MUCH! as a critical vegan living in sf, this is hands down one (might even be my current fav) place for food in sf! the vegan momos are sooo good especially with the sauce they give me! i get it at least a couple times a month (always order it on grubhub or get it at the ferry building farmers market). there aren't many things i love but this ... I LOVE.

I love Bini's Kitchen when I discover them as a food Truck and was happy again to find them as a pop up hidden on 1 Post street behind the McKesson building. Luckily I was just passing by and happen to buy monos! They are my favorite!! They have great flavor and spices in their meals. I could just inhale the entire menu in my tummy!

I did not have such a great experience today, but since I had this review in draft mode for a while, I'm going to review based on my last two experiences... I had walked past this place so many times but was never curious enough to check out the menu. One day, while wandering around feeling uninspired, I finally decided to give it a look and discovered they serve Nepalese momos! I love all kinds of dumplings, so I was instantly sold. I ordered the chicken, lamb, and vegetarian momos, eight pieces each. The meat ones were $14 and the veggie was $12. I practically skipped back to the office, ready to dig in. They were so good ! Full of flavor, juicy, and perfectly spiced. I just wish they had been a little hotter, but a quick 10-second microwave fix did the trick. I took the rest home and steamed them up the next day, adding a spoonful of Trader Joe's Crispy Garlic Crunch, which made them even better. My husband and son loved them too. I will definitely be back to explore more of the menu. Sometimes a little wandering leads to the best finds!

It's a kiosk located near the Montgomery Bart station. I tried the vegetarian momos. There were 8 momos with chutney on top. The momos came filled with tofu and other veggies. It was very filling. The chutney was yummy

Late post: Finally get to try this place. It was close for a while. Great fast and delicious food. A bit pricy but after pandemic everything has gone so you can't blame them. Price: $17 for chicken curry over rice with veggie momo and $2 extra if you choose lamb or chicken momo not including tax. Overall even with the price, the food is really good. I definitely recommend this place.

Transitioning from working remote during the pandemic for 3 years back to working miserable office hours requires training wheels, so what better way than to go back to my favorite lunch spot to remind me of the good old pre-plague days! Bini's is tucked away in a corner between two buildings and they have gotten a fresh new look for their storefront. Food is just as good as before--hearty, delicious portions of momos, rice, and chicken to make you fall into a food coma and hope that your boss won't see you doze off. Personally, I love the lamb momos, but if you don't like the gamey taste, the chicken momos are just as delicious! Service is quick and the food is fresh and hot. Takeout only as there is no seating here. Makes me want to go back to the office just for Bini's!

I work in the Financial District, so I'm always looking for quick casual places to eat for lunch. Binis Kitchen is an alright place to grab a quick bite. It's a stand, so keep in mind that you'll need to find somewhere else to sit while enjoying your food. However, I found the prices to be a little bit on the higher side for what you're getting, ranging from $18 to $20.

Delicious Momos and sides! Really nice people at the Bini's stand! I got the lamb momos and eggplant side!

Great Nepalese food. I especially enjoy the combo, a good amount of rice, chicken, sauce, and momos. Mmmmm momos.

Based on my recent order, everything was executed beautifully, from the rich curries to the fresh sides. The Stars of the Show Chicken Tikka Masala: This classic dish was a creamy revelation. The chicken was incredibly tender, and the sauce struck a perfect balance--rich and flavorful without being overly heavy or sweet. It's easily one of the best versions I've had in the city. Saag Curry Lamb: A true highlight! The lamb was cooked to perfection, falling apart with gentle pressure. The Saag (spinach) curry itself was deeply savory and earthy, seasoned masterfully to complement the meat. It had a wonderful, comforting depth of flavor. Sides & Bread Perfection Yellow Rice with Vegetables: This was a vibrant and flavorful accompaniment. The rice was perfectly cooked--fluffy and separate--and the inclusion of fresh, tender vegetables (carrots, peas, etc.) made it a substantive and refreshing side dish. Garlic Cheese Naan: Absolutely essential! The naan was warm, pillowy, and generously stuffed with melted cheese and fresh garlic. It wasn't greasy, and the balance of savory garlic and gooey cheese made it irresistible for dipping into the curry sauces. Overall Verdict Yarsa Napalese Cuisine delivers an exceptional dining experience. The ingredients taste fresh, the spices are complex and aromatic, and the preparation shows genuine care and expertise. If you're looking for fantastic Nepalese and Indian classics in San Francisco, look no further. This place is a gem! The service was great ! The waiter was very friendly and it was a nice vibe in. The ambience and service is nice. However now I am wondering if Jhol Momo is a difficult recipe. While the dumplings were great I didn't feel the same about the Jhol broth. I still have to give it to Seattle for having best Nepali Place so far when compared to SF, Vancouver and Seattle. From the start we were impressed with the incredibly friendly service. To start, we got the fish pakora. Although deep fried, the pakora were crispy without being greasy or heavy, and had a nice fresh flavor when dipped in the accompanying mint sauce. For our entrees, we got the daal makhani and the mixed vegetable curry. Both entrees were very tasty, but our favorite was the daal makhani, which had a nice smoky flavor. We also got a side of garlic naan and Peshwari naan. Although I hadn't had Peshwari naan before and was skeptical about whether it would go with the meal with its sweet flavors, the filling of coconut, almonds, and sultanas was so delicious that it was my favorite part of the meal. Also, although it was sweet, it didn't have too much sweetness to create an imbalance against the rest of the things we ordered. Highly recommend this place for great food and impeccable service!
