I must admit the World Cup has me binge drinking recently. Especially the motherland Spain is in the finals. I thought I was only going to binge drink in SF . I guess going to the East Bay and going to Berkeley I still have the urge to binge drink. There are so many places to get a drink in Berkeley like at Jupiters. There is one place where binge drinking is encouraged in Berkeley and it's called Binge Coffee House. On a Summer tour of Berkeley I landed at the Binge Coffee House. I just went to Binge Coffee house location on Valencia ( not in Spain) in SF. I guess I wanted to binge drink again. Don Juan de la Matcha had to get some matcha. This time I got the purple yam Ube matcha which was not too sweet and tasty. It was smooth and very consistent to the matcha drinks at the San Francisco location. This time I had to try the banh mi. I was looking for the head cheese and was thinking about the lemongrass but got the combination with the extra pate. It was delicious but the bread was a bit flakey like some I saw on my social media feed. Overall a good spot to binge drink. Go on a Berkeley stroll in another words an "exploration "of the Binge Coffee House East Bay "location" good for matcha for Don Juan de la matcha for any "occasion"and get an Banh Mi I recommend extra pate on their "Combination" This is a place where you can go on a drinking "binge"across the "Bay Bridge" and you don't have to be "cringe "or go off the "hinge"
They have so many great drinks on the menu, and all of their crème tops looked amazing. Out of the four drinks | tried, the Melon Matcha was my favorite (reminds me so much of Academic). The Pandan Coffee was sweet, while the Strawberry Shortcake Hojicha had a bold hojicha flavor, with the cutest little graham cracker topping. The café is just as pretty as the drinks, with pops of green everywhere that make the space feel fresh and vibrant. I just wish it wasn't so far away : (
Binge Coffee House is a Vietnamese coffee shop and the coffee house originally started as Boba Binge in Oakland. The owner later decided to expand and open a coffee shop that uses the traditional Vietnamese slow-drip method (phin drip). Currently there are two Binge Coffee House locations near UC Berkeley (within 0.5 miles of each other) and a new location in San Francisco. This location on Bancroft Way is apparently the flagship location for the coffee house. [Parking]: There is a public parking lot right next to the shop ($2 per hour) and street metered parking a block away on Shattuck Ave (free metered parking on Sundays). [Ordering]: No line when our party arrived at 9 AM on Sunday. Our party placed an order using one of the two kiosks. Our waffle order was ready in 10 minutes, but our party didn't hear my name called so I had to follow up with one of the cashiers 5 additional minutes later. [Atmosphere]: The coffee house has a bar table and six indoor tables. There are no outdoor tables. [Menu]: While this is technically a Vietnamese coffee house, the recommended drinks per the online ordering system are Strawberry Matcha Latte, Banana Matcha Latte, Matcha Latte, Ube Matcha Latte, and Egg Coffee. The shop also sells snacks such as popcorn chicken and pandan waffles as well as light lunch items like Vietnamese sandwiches. *** Ube Matcha Latte (Less Sweet - 75% - $7.50): Cute cup design and the matcha tasted fairly concentrated. The ube cream was solid. Vietnamese Pandan Waffle ($6.50): I thought it was alright - nothing to write home about. *** The matcha drink was not as good as some of the best matcha drinks in Koreatown in Los Angeles, but the drink tasted good enough for local UC Berkeley students who are looking for a decent matcha drink without having to drive out of Berkeley.
Binge Coffee House offers Vietnamese food, cafe drinks, and matcha drinks. Their drinks also come with a unique flavors! I ordered their cookie butter matcha and the melon melon matcha. who knew melon and matcha would be such a great combo? Apparently, Binge did. It was a pleasant surprise, and I loved it! Their cookie butter matcha was also delicious! One thing's for sure, Binge knows great flavor combos, and I will be back to try more.
In my never-ending quest for black sesame coffee, I was nearby and googled for one. Binge came up as having black sesame coffee and many others that I would try. Good thing, because when I got there, they were sold out of black sesame, but they had the banana coffee. I am so glad I got it. It was delicious - rich and flavorful, and it held up through the entire cup. Also, they use pebble ice, which makes a huge difference. With pebble ice, as your drink melts down, the flavors still are there because you can crunch down on the pebble ice with your teeth. Think about regular ice and how you're trying to get those last flavors out of a cup, but can't because the ice is in the way. Yes, I've thought about this way too much. I will 100% be back and try many other flavors, including the black sesame.
We stopped here for coffee while driving to Napa. They have a lot of variety on the menu in terms of drinks. The inside of the coffee shop is pretty small, but there were a few people inside studying when I came in early on a Saturday morning. Though you order on a screen, one of the staff greeted me right away when I came in and was very polite. I ordered on the screen and didn't wait very long to get my drinks. I'd gotten a double matcha here and it was perfect, on par with some of the top matcha places in LA. Definitely recommend trying if you're a matcha lover.
Popular Vietnamese and matcha spot in Berkeley! I can see why it's so popular, as they have super strong coffee as well as good quality matcha. The price is also decent compared to other cafes around and for the size. They have a bunch of fun flavored matcha's, my favorite matcha is their earl gray. They do charge extra for oat milk. They do online ordering through snackpass, which makes it super quick to pick up. They definitely do get busy so grabbing a table might be tricky! The workers are always friendly and I keep coming back!
3.5 stars - Another spot I bookmarked because I saw an IG reel that they enjoyed the mango sticky rice matcha, so I decided to stop by just for that. Parking was very tricky as it's only metered but glad I was able to snag a spot just a block away. The business itself wasn't that big and there were a few customers inside when I arrived on a Friday afternoon. I went straight to the kiosk and ordered the drink. It took about 5 minutes before I received a text that it was ready. The drink didn't blow my mind as I thought it would. I did taste the rice but not much of the mango. The matcha was average even after mixing everything together. I don't drink coffee so not sure if their coffee drinks would've tasted better or different.
Got three different marchas today white peach Matcha, banana Matcha, strawberry Matcha And my fav was banana Matcha. The perfect blend of sweetness and Matcha. Easy to order and they have your drinks ready fast. It is full inside to find seating but I 10/10 recommend and I will be coming back
I got the egg coffee less sweet but it was still pretty sweet. The egg cream was standard. There was this chocolate powder on top of the egg cream so once you mix everything together it kind of tasted like a chocolate or mocha flavor. I wish the coffee was stronger in taste. I saw lots of folks with the matcha so I def want to try that if I am back. You can order on the kiosk so it was pretty easy. There was no staff taking orders so it is all through the kiosks. Plenty of space to do work or study. Parking was rough lol
While looking for unique coffee options I stumbled upon Binge Coffee. My eyes immediately gravitated towards the Black Sesame Coffee. Everything is done through an ordering tablet, so it can be quick. 1st protocol is to stir it so you get a taste of the coffee & Black Sesame. I love it when a coffee isn't watered down bc there's an added component to it, in this case(Black Sesame). I really want that deep, rich coffee aroma to give me that caffeine I need to keep me alert. I would definitely return for other options.
If you're craving for some Vietnamese coffee then you must visit Binge Coffee House. They have multiple locations but we tend to visit this location since it's closest to us. My husband love their Vietnamese coffee a lot. He usually just get the traditional Vietnamese coffee. As for me, I tend to get different drink every time, not as loyal as him (hahaha...). I recently tried their melon melon matcha. I actually like it since I like melon ice cream and matcha. Pretty good combo. Can't say we're a regular here but we definitely have visited a few per year.

I'm obsessed with Binge Coffee House! I always have to get it anytime I'm in Berkeley. The drinks, food, and customer service are always great. We ordered the Binge House Coffee, Egg Coffee, and Combination Cold Cut Banh Mi. The combination banh mi is so delicious. They pack it with lots of meat, veggies, and pate. The bread is crispy and soft. Everything is really fresh and tastes sooo good. The Binge House Coffee is by far my favorite! It's a classic vietnamese coffee with a salty sweet top and oh my goodness it pairs SO WELL together! I recommend this one if you don't know what to get. But the Egg Coffee is another favorite of mine. You can't go wrong with anything in my opinion! read more

t's a vibrant, trendy Vietnamese coffee and boba shop right near campus. They use a high-quality, vibrant ceremonial-grade Uji matcha as their base, meaning you get a true, smooth green tea flavor that doesn't taste like "chewing grass." read more
Working in East Bay = East Bay finds. One of my coworkers recommended we go here for our caffeine fix. This spot took over what used to be UCha back in my undergrad days! The interior is super duper small and you order through a kiosk and they'll call out your name/number. There's tons of students studying so space is prob limited (i felt so old around the students) I ordered the Matcha Pistachio and it was good! I was definitely caffeinated afterwards. read more
Wandered into Binge after seeing a sign on Telegraph! (There's another location on Durant but it didn't pop up on yelp yet so we ended up walking all the way here lol). The store is small but extremely crowded & busy. There are a couple chairs to sit off onto the side, but it's a little stuffy in there to sit! (When we walked by the other location, it's a bit larger & calmer, seems like not a lot of people have seen it yet.) We got the Banana Matcha & Pistachio Matcha. Really enjoyed the creaminess & flavor of the matcha! Will def say that the matcha flavor isn't really the strongest, but the color is nice and vibrant. Banana flavor is a lot stronger than the pistachio flavor too. The cream on top is a little on the salty side. Honestly one of the better matcha places we have tried. I would totally return back to try other flavors. read more

The sesame matcha was so delicious! It's my new favorite. I have never tried this flavor but as someone who doesn't have a big sweet tooth, it's perfect. Tastes like a light peanut butter creme, and the quinoa puffs add a nice bit of texture. I also ordered the melon matcha which was delicious as well, not too sweet or overpowering. Service was quick and friendly. Definitely a must try if you'd like to experiment with your matcha drinks. read more
Binge is very similar to Da Vien in Orange County in both vibes and offerings. You order on a kiosk instead though,, which can be good to sift through all of their coffee and matcha choices. I got the pistachio matcha and it was very sweet even at "less sweet" and they ran out of almond milk. The matcha was alright, not grassy or bitter. The pistachio had a bit of an almond extract flavor to it. I would consider it a good dessert drink? Maybe I just needed to try the plain matcha. It was also expensive and the WiFi didn't work for my first 30 minutes there. Parking is all street and I can't figure out what the charging criteria is but it was free on the day I went (a Thursday?). They also soft opened another location with more space on Durant, so check that one out if you are looking to work. read more
Best egg coffee EVER. A must try and on the spot. don't wait or you'll regret it We heard about Binge coffee from a trusted coffee connoisseur so we had to stop at the OG location. Even at 6, all tables were occupied so we proceeded to the self-serve kiosk to order an ube matcha latte and egg coffee (50% sweet). We found stools in the back and waited ... just 2 minutes (no way, what?!) and our drinks were ready. The egg cream is so unbelievably creamy and delicious which complimented the strong coffee with just the right creaminess. The best way to enjoy is right away without the lid where each sip is a combo of cream and coffee blending together. I drank half at the shop and took the rest home. Unfortunately the cream dissolved/melted into the coffee so it just tasted like an iced coffee. so better not wait next time. The ube matcha latte was also good but I only had a sip Best time to come is at 6 PM on a summer weekend! Free street parking after 6 and students are home for the summer. read more

Located across CAL campus. A few tables to sit at and lots of drink and food selections. I went with the Egg Coffee (extra sweet). I've tried it normal and extra sweet. Extra sweet is the way to go. Thick and eggy on top. Ambiance is wood based with plants on the shelves. Service is average. You can order in person or on a touch screen. Parking is a challenge. I'll be back. read more

A regular here after recent discovery, must get my matcha fix! Usuals are pistachio and regular matcha latte but today I am trying the double! Always a high quality product (matcha at Starbucks just doesn't hit anymore after Binge ) and employees provide great service to accommodate my lower sweetness levels and no pistachio nut crumbles. I like this location because of the online ordering capability on their website, yay to no extra fees and are open earlier vs. the other location on Telegraph. However, it would be nice if the 25% sweetness was an ordering option online. Finally, don't forget to try the beef banh mi, it's delicious imo out of the others! read more

Loved my pistachio matcha. They offer a variety of matcha drinks some seasonal like the pistachio. I had the pandan egg waffle which went well with my drink. Kiosk ordering service. No line and relatively short wait for my order. College student vibe. Some seating inside adequate for students and quick pickup. Definitely want to come back and try their other drinks. read more

Salty, creamy and crunchy. I really enjoyed my drink!!! The banana cream was sweet and salty which I didn't expect! It had light banana flavor. I like the toffee addition because it gave the drink some texture. Even though it was really busy inside, my drink came out in less than 5 minutes. I really appreciate the efficiency!! Busy place for the right reasons. I love Binge! My friend put me on and I don't regret trying it. They have a lot of cool matcha flavors that you can't find anywhere else like: Black Sesame, Pandan, Pistachio, Ube, and more. They have coffee too of course but I peeped a trend with the popularity of Matcha. They have food like Banh Mi, it looks fire. You usually order through the kiosk and it takes an average of 5 min for the order to be ready. It's a tight space ngl but there is space to study, chill, and hang out. It was a nice day out and ofc all the Cal kids were studying for finals. I loved the white peach flavor and my sister enjoyed the Ube Matcha. read more
My daughter was raving about this place so I got to give it a try. There were lots of options to choose from. I ended up with a mango matcha latte. The matcha grade was decent and it was alright overall. I also ordered the pandan waffle. It was fresh and piping hot which I truly enjoyed. Was drawn in by the banana coffee on the menu! Stopped by Binge on a Sunday at 11. It was nice and quiet at the time but quickly filled up after we ordered. At Binge, you order on a screen, which was pretty user friendly/easy to view the menu. The menu itself was filled with a huge array of matcha and Asian inspired coffee drinks (ube, egg, pandan, black sesame, yum!) - it was very difficult to choose! Ended up ordering the banana coffee (iced) and egg coffee (hot). Drinks came out relatively quickly! The banana coffee exceeded expectations: the banana cold foam on top was perfectly sweet with puree and crunchy toffee bits. The hot egg coffee reminded me of milk tea, with a delicious cold egg custard foam on top. The cafe is bright and open, with cute green accents. We found seating but it filled up soon after. Definitely recommend! The menu is extensive, with delicious sounding matcha and coffee drinks to try! read more

4.5/5 One of my favorite matcha spots in the bay!! I love the flavors offered at Binge. So far I have tried the Banana & Tiramisu. I really wanted to try their Cookie Butter but it was sold out by the time we got there (~3 pm). If you want a larger selection, I would suggest going in earlier. I had the Banana Matcha over the summer and rated it a 7/10. I wish there could banana infused within the matcha rather than just in the cream top. My dad tried their Banana Coffee this time around and said the flavor was too artificial. I'm not sure if they changed the recipe but I don't remember that being an issue when I had it. I also liked how they added nuts for crunch. This time I got the Tiramisu Matcha, which I will give an 8/10. I thought the cream tasted generic. I wish they implemented a marscapone cream flavor bc I did not get any flavor. I liked how they included the ladyfinger! Eat it fast bc one half broke to the bottom and turned soggy. The shop is quite small with limited seating. I don't think it's the best studying spot as the seats are cramped or are bench seating. People seem to go for coffee chats rather than working. It's decorated nicely tho! There are two kiosks. You can also order with a cashier if needed. Drinks are made quickly as well!! read more
Loved the Strawberry Matcha--smooth, not too sweet, and super fresh. The menu has a nice variety too, with plenty of drinks and snacks to pick from. We also tried The Egg Hot Coffee- very creamy and delicious. They offer the same drink in an Iced version as well. Overall, the menu was fun and exciting. Binge Coffee House is Binge worthy indeed! Got to check this place out and got a drink for our little stroll through the neighborhood. It is packed with students, mostly. Small shop with people waiting for their orders while also being in the way of the 2 kiosks to place your order. Definitely some weaving through the crowd is necessary. Not the ideal place to do some laptop work, but there were definitely some folks in there making it work. No desk person to speak to, mainly self service. They serve up the drinks pretty fast but then disappear to the back again. They also offer some light snacks too, like the egg puffs. Drinks are good but not worth a special trip, esp fighting through students to order and get your order. read more

So many good cafes opening up in Berkeley. Binge Coffee House is one of them. Known for their egg coffees. However, since it was already midday when I came, and I wanted to be able to sleep at night, I got the banana matcha. Loved the banana foam, not too sweet and a strong banana flavor. The matcha isn't bad, but not the best that I've had. My friends tried their egg coffee, and it was really good. Coffee was strong, and egg foam was creamy. It's a solid option if SJ is too far for you. I like that they use smaller ice chips, which is very in line with how iced coffee is served in Vietnam. read more
Saw this place on the way to dinner and thought I would pick up a matcha! I asked the cashier what sweetness he would recommend and he suggested 75% sweet which was perfect! Black sesame matcha latte - 10/10, super good matcha flavor and I LOVE the black sesame! The crunchy stuff on the top is so good too It seems they are still in their soft opening but it's already super busy! Service was quick after ordering, I would come back again :) read more
Listen, I don't even like iced coffee. My personal preference has always been for hot beverages. But Binge Coffee House has had me coming in weekly for the past couple of months! Their coffee drinks and matchas have all been great. Excellent for anyone who loves caffeine and has a sweet tooth! Please be prepared for the fact that it stays VERY crowded. It is a popular spot for students, so you may have a bit of a wait! :) read more
A huge YESSS PLEASEEEE The best place to get your caffeine fix in Berkeley. Workers are super nice and owner Minh is so helpful with recommendations. It's about a block away from UC Berkeley so depending on time can get kind of crowded, but the wait is well worth it. From matcha, Vietnamese coffee, banh mi, and many many more, Binge coffee is definitely a place for everyone! read more
Second time here and was not disappointed! Got their drink of the month which is the pistachio matcha latte. The pistachio foam was so unique and had great pistachio flavor. They crumbles of fresh pistachio also added to the texture and flavor in every sip. Definitely recommend ordering on snackpass before so that your order is ready by the time you get there. read more
I've fallen in love with Vietnamese coffee over the last year, so I was super excited to try a new place! When you walk in, you order on a tablet. For future visits, I would recommend just ordering through their square site. The egg coffee was good, though it had a weird hint of something to me. I think it's mostly that it was different from my favorite egg coffee at House of Phin. The black sesame was delicious! read more
Came here on a Saturday for lunch around 1, and this place was pretty busy. Some tables and chairs inside, some being used by people studying and some enjoying their drinks. We got banh mi and boba for lunch, and the banh mi were very good, my parents got lemongrass tofu and I got the vegan ham, I'm always happy when there are good vegetarian options! The drinks were a bit on the sweet side, even the 50% sweet option for the mango tea was quite sweet, although the passion fruit tea 5% sweet seemed appropriate, so it likely depends on what type of drink it is. Binge Coffee House has a wide variety of matcha lattes and coffee flavors. If you're looking for boba they have milk tea too! We only wanted drinks but next time I'd definitely try their snacks and banh mi sandwiches. Black Sesame Matcha Latte: Matcha was rich and yummy. I really liked the crunchy rice bits on the top of the drink. Very nutty flavor and balanced the matcha well. Mango Matcha Latte: My favorite out of the bunch. Quite sweet and the matcha was strong. The drink was creamy and I liked the fruit pieces. Pandan Matcha Latte: This one was a little artificial tasting. The pandan flavoring was quite overpowering but not enough to stop drinking. read more

I was pretty excited to try Binge Coffee House after seeing photos of all the different drinks they serve. I'm always on the hunt for new cafes, especially ones with good matcha. We went on a Thursday morning, and it was pretty empty, service was quick and efficient. The cafe is small but has a good number of tables, perfect for solo studying. I got the banana matcha; while the banana cream was really good, I thought the matcha itself was lacking. It was good to try, but I'm not sure I'd come back. read more
I love the assortment of drink flavors here! You can try so many spins of matcha, and my favorite is the black sesame matcha. The banana creme matcha does have a salty aftertaste, but I think it works fairly well. The strawberry matcha is refreshing and not too sweet. Binge is very popular, so anticipate a long wait. There is a little bit of seating inside, but it is pretty compact and not ideal for a study spot read more
