My husband and I were looking for a place close to Silver Dollar City where he could grab some bacon and eggs. This place...Wow! check out the french cakes. my husband spotted the chicken and French cakes and opted for this instead of his beloved eggs and bacon. it did not disappoint perfectly fried chicken on top of two huge pancakes dipped in French toast batter. I ordered the loaded hash browns with bacon. the service was friendly and prompt. It was by far the best breakfast I've had out in a very long time. read more

Oh, yes! Billy Gails! A landmark for Branson breakfast. But it just got a whole lot better! The new owner, from Flat Creek fame, has redecorated, put in a breakfast bar for quick seating, expanded the dining room, added awesome items to their menu (don't worry, they still have the 14" pancakes!) like their Billion Dollar Bacon. Really, you have to try that. Best of all, they have expanded their parking which was so challenging under the former owner. The parking lot is so big now that they have to have a small tram to take you to and from your car! Billy Gails is just down the street from Silver Dollar City off of highway 76. Lots of camp grounds down the street from them. Be prepared to wait at least 30 minutes Fri & Sat during the summer. The wait is worth it! read more

Great food great prices! I order omelets a lot because they are so hard to mess up. Well my whole paradigm has changed. Gail's famous omelet has ruined all other omelets for me. The best omelet ever. Eggs are layered with the ham and veggies in between. Evenly cooked and yummy as heck. Biscuits were the best ever and they have blackberry jam and apple butter as options. Wife's burger was on point and the fries were crispy and delicious. Great job! Servers were great as well! Highly recommend! read more

Had a great first time at Billygail's restaurant today with my sisters. I had the French toast which was absolutely delicious, and bacon. One of my sisters had a pecan pancake (which was huge and hung off the plate) and another sister had a veggie omelette. I also got to meet Mrs Gail as we were leaving. The portions here are insane and the price point won't break your wallet. We stopped here along our roadtrip through Arkansas. Our girl group decided we'd venture into Missouri. This place is next to the big amusement park so you'll find a lot of out of towners and families here for a bite to eat. There is a wait but it's not long and they give you a buzzer. I highly suggest you to order the pancakes because they are delicious and I'm not even a pancake girl. The billion dollar bacon is super sweet so if you're into sweets get the bacon! read more

I found this place to be okay but nothing special. It's your typical mom and pop country style restaurant. My burger was good and had a homemade patty. My husbands biscuits and gravy were okay as well but nothing special. I give it four stars because of the friendly service, price was fair and I'm a sucker for mom and pop shops but I probably wouldn't go back. If I did, I would try the pancakes. Great place. Famous for breakfast and the giant pancakes. Wife got chocolate chip pancake that was just a normal pancake that they forgot to put chocolate chips on and just sprinkled a few on the plate and on top of the pancake. They could have easily mixed them into the pancake for cooking. I got a sloppy biscuit which was very good. I would prefer a bit more gravy but most probably would enjoy the proportions of everything. Very cool atmosphere. Would definitely go back again if we visit the area. read more

We asked to substitute the hash brown for a pancake and were told no. We were really surprised by the size of the portions. They were huge plates. Great place to eat ridiculously large quantities of food. It's pretty comical. You'll likely need a to go box. I had the 1 lb fried pork loin which filled a 16" diameter plate. And was topped with fries. Great for breakfast or for lunch. They have excellent hot sauces available. read more

My party had the 'Sloppy Biscuit', 'Billy's Belly Buster Breakfast', and a chocolate chip pancake. The sweet cream vanilla pancake (part of the belly buster breakfast), was so good (and huge). This was our 2nd time eating here in the past 3 months. We live about 4 hours from Branson and did a few quick trips to getaway to keep from going stir crazy in this year of Covid. The food is good. It's your greasy spoon-type traditional Southern fare. I've not had a dish that was knock your socks off good, but I haven't had a bad dish either. I do wish they'd have healthier option choices on their menu- such as egg whites, turkey sausage, etc. And in their defense- they may accommodate such requests but since there's no mention of this on the menu- I've never asked. 14" pancake is huge!! I want to say it's $5 to add it on to an entree (a few extra dollars for specialty pancake). Flavor is decent and kids would get a kick out of it- big enough for 2-3 to share. Keep this in mind as an option because I didn't really ever see a specific kids' menu looking around online. Call-in/Takeout service has always been knowledgeable and efficient. They pack your food nicely and don't skimp on the condiments. Even though I do like Billy Gail's and would eat here again if in the area, it's not one of my "must visits" in Branson. But worth the try if you've never been so you can decide for yourself. read more

O.M.G. We were in Branson MO for a rally and this restaurant was recommended. We were told we had a half hour wait and were given a beeper but it went off after 10 minutes-yay! If you don't get a booth the tables are very close so be nice to your neighbors! Very harried waitress took our order. Husband got the big boy platter and I got the brisket hash. We sipped coffee and chatted until our meals came(which was pretty fast)and we were blown away by how HUGE it was-enough for 3. Or 4. Mine, unfortunately, was wrong but I a didn't have a chance to tell our waiter because she skedaddled away in seconds and I didnt see her again until the check. What I got was a brisket omelette which had green peppers, which I am allergic to. Needless to say I did not eat much but since hubby had so much I did not go away hungry. His bacon was magic! my eggs were fluffy and the pancakes were to die for! As you can tell from the pictures HUGE servings. Food was good, service was not. I hate it when I have to ask for a coffee refill over and over. Ugh. read more

I went to BillyGails last summer with the family. This is so overdue. With the corona virus harming small restaurants I want to support BillyGails. Shame on me for not trying this gem sooner. Cash or check only, no plastic. Best place to stop for breakfast, but plan to wait. We got there at 9:30 & this party of 4 didn't get seated until almost 11. We did notice if parties came in with 2 people or with 7 or more, they were seated more quickly. It was worth the wait, but we will only wait for something like this once a year. The pancake was bigger than my kid's pumpkin head! Seriously, it took up almost his entire side of the table. So my dad loved this restaurant but none of the rest of our family enjoyed it. It's popular because of cheap prices for VERY large portions of food. However, the quality of the food is okay. I enjoyed the breakfast I ordered but the pancakes were SO gigantic! After we left, the rest of our family said that we wouldn't go back because we all felt so so sick afterwards.
