Bought crabs tonight and were shown large crabs. Once we came home with the 3 dozen crabs, they were small but paid for large.

$249 for a bushel of xl crabs! Over a dozen we too small to pass the size limit, and the rest were a mix of mediums with a few large.

Tried these crabs about 1 month ago, the $1.00 males. Also I asked for more seasoning on them and…read morethey quickly put it on, no problem! Because this was a trial run on Bob's, I ordered 6 (they gave me 7). So happy, These were med-small ones. Have to admit they were solid, tasty, and the seasoning was perfect. Jumping ahead to today, ordered the $3.00 med ones, again males, another 6. They were as they should be, in my mind. Waited about 1 min for the order to be filled. This is my new "GO TO" crab-house. Customer service is fantastic. All of the staff is very pleasant and helpful. Love the iced-down display case so you can see what they have and prices are plainly listed. They sell fish (I don't know what kind it is), king crab legs, and now oysters because it is the end of crab season and the beginning of oysters. Easy on the lot parking, great location.

Picked up a dozen large crabs last night along with a couple of steamed ears of corn on the cob and…read moreI have to say that these are the best crabs I have ever had - being 53 years old and from Maryland that says a lot. When the clerk handed me the bag I was immediately taken aback at how heavy it was so I couldn't wait to get home and dig in. All of the crabs were heavy and bursting with sweet MD crabmeat, the seasoning is on point and the corn was as sweet as sugar and steamed perfectly. Bob is an awesome guy who goes above and beyond for his customers and actually supplies quite a few crab houses in the area which speaks volumes. This will be the only place we purchase crabs from in the future. I actually got full after eating 3 crabs so I had the rest of them for lunch and I am already dying for more. **Sidenote: Pretty suspicious that the couple of bad reviews are written by people who clearly set up a Yelp account to disparage the business, the sense of entitlement shines loud & clear ***

Big. Long. Sigh…read more This review PAINS me because I had such high expectations and wasn't prepared for what I received. Although all hopes aren't lost for this location, it's going to take a little while before I give them another chance. I follow a quite large figure in the food reviewing community and he visited the Pappas Seafood Center. This location has been here for about a year. I didn't rush to go, but as soon as I saw this person's very highly rated review with delicious photos to match, I knew what I was going to eat for dinner. I had a taste for seafood and when I saw the seafood eggrolls on the reviewer's page, they looked so fresh and crispy. Not overtly so. But they looked good. So, that's what I decided to get, along with a side of hush puppies. To note: this is not a sit down restaurant. It's a carry-out and I believe a distribution center. It's a rather large building, so I'm assuming that they make and ship crab cakes and other items, while also accommodating walk-in customers. I called my order in. The person said it would be 20 minutes. I arrived a bit early, so I waited in my car for a bit. There's no where to sit inside, so if you walked to this place, you'd just have to stand somewhere. Anyhoo, after twenty minutes, I walked in. The place looked clean and well lit. They have an attractive glass case that displayed cold items like salads and doubled eggs. The young lady at the counter told me it would be a few more minutes before my order was done. She was nice, so no complaints with customer service. My order soon came out and I headed home. As I drove home, I was super excited because the food honestly smelled good through the stapled paper bag! Keep in mind that I live 5 minutes from this place. When I sat down to eat, I took the contents out the bag. The first thing I took out was the hush puppies. They were in a cup, no big deal, BUT THEY WEREN'T HOT! Like, at all. Even further, some were quite raw on the inside. The batter was honestly good! I ended up eating just the crispy outer layers. I was intensely disappointed in those. Then...the egg rolls. When I opened the container, I saw two halved VERY browned eggrolls. They almost seemed as if they were pan fried as opposed to deep fried (some sides were burnt while other sides were normal). They came with two sauces, one was a mustard sauce, the other a sweet vinegary sauce. Neither was super amazing, but the mustard one was the better of the two. The stuffing inside consisted of a crab mixture and shrimp. It unfortunately did not taste fresh. More like something that was made a few days beforehand. Maybe it was because it was overcooked? The green onion was overpowering and the whole thing tasted like a sweet, burnt eggroll. I really tried to finish it. I ended up eating the filling, and discarded the roll wrapper, along with the raw batter from the hush puppies (pictures included). I spent about $21 dollars for this meal. I waited a few days before writing this review to make sure it wasn't based off of raw emotion alone, but a fair assessment of quality and value, which this meal lacked both. Pappas really does have great crab cakes and sides (look for my the Taylor Avenue review). Maybe it was an off day, but one off day can put off a customer for a good long while.

Okay just kidding, I've got to finish to tell you about the amazing people behind the incredible food.. We told Patrina that we weren't from around here and it was our first time at Lib's.. She was the best first impression you could have had... told us the history of the Lib family how they are the Perry Hall staple of the area. Vic was our server and he was wonderful, answering questions and very knowledgeable. Michelle was the mgr on the evening we were there and came out when we wanted to rave over the meal... when she found out we were new to the area, she came back to the table with her top picks for dining in the area. Really... wow! The deck was enclosed but was an open space that made you feel like you were outside without the draft. I could go on and on, but really, stop reading and navigate here Right now What makes you think I'm kidding Put down that mediocre food This is way better than what your stuffing your face with Y'all

2/15/26 Update!…read more Lib's Grill has become our regular pit stop on the way to D.C. We have become "regulars" and our server that we ask for every time, (Brenna) is a bright light and always provides us with amazing service that keeps us coming back! We all enjoyed our lunch and I have to say, Lib's Grill was rocking! It was President's Weekend Holiday and every table was taken for brunch/lunch. Our meals, once again were all really good and service was top notch. Thank you, Brenna, (and team), for making our meal a memorable one, once again. I'll provide some updated photos to keep this review as fresh as the food and service! :)
