I also have to give major kudos to those responsible : Marina,(in the deli) who took the time and effort to find out the answers and make it happen. The usual "what is there is what's available. Or, check back tomorrow." Marina made sure that the customer (me), was taken care of. (Gee, we do that?) Joan,(in the deli) a multi tasking Wonder Woman who took care of other customers, helped Marina with my request, and fried my chicken ! I do think, she thought I couldn't count. She said 2 times "Mister, there are only 2 of us here today!" I looked around at asked the guy next to me, "How many do you see? He said 2!" I shook my head, me too. Lol! Joan is incredible dealing with a lot of balls in the air. Lastly, at checkout I have no idea if I had 15 items or ???? I bought 4 toothbrushes, 4 shaving cream plus ......A young man at a empty register says "I can help you!" Magic words today. This cashier guy Aidan, was awesome. Polite and pleasant. I had done the e-coupons and he helped to see if they worked. The savings came through 100%! As I was leaving, I saw the store director Veronica up ahead and I wanted to share all this google stuff with her. She was on a call at the moment, so I do hope she sees this review.

Great Service at Giant Pharmacy!…read more I had such a great experience with the pharmacy staff at Giant and wanted to recognize them for truly going above and beyond. I was looking for a specific prescription that can be difficult to find, and the pharmacist took the time to check and was able to help me. When my doctor sent the prescription over, she noticed that the dosage didn't look correct. Instead of simply filling it, she personally contacted my doctor's office to verify it and make sure everything was right. I really appreciated that level of attention and care. When I checked out, the pharmacist even took extra time to sign me up for a program that would earn me additional points and discounts through the store. She explained everything thoroughly, never made me feel rushed, and genuinely seemed to care about helping me. The entire staff was friendly and helpful. It's not often you receive this level of personal service anymore, and I was incredibly impressed. Thank you to the pharmacist and the entire Giant Pharmacy team for taking such good care of me. First, there is always parking and plenty of smaller sized shopping carts. The store is clean and well-lit. The food selection is always impressive from the sushi, the cheese, to the baked goods-- I always enjoy seeing what Weis has in stock. If you need help finding something there is usually a helpful employee nearby who is able to help you. Their prices are just OK-- this is not Aldi. But if you can use coupons and shop the sales there are deals to be had here. Thanks, Weis in Towson, for being such a great neighborhood grocery store. Now, if you only sold beer, I would never have to go anywhere else. ;-)

There is a fairly uncluttered parking lot ( carts aren't everywhere). Oh, and they have my favorite ice cream ( NICKS) in different flavors. It's hard to find! I noticed that the prices here aren't nearly as bad as I remember. The cooking wine I purchased was not on sale, but still under $5.00. The produce section always appears to be fully stocked and I can find everything I want when I'm here. The last 2 visits they've had a super sale on ice cream and I went a little overboard with the single serve cups of Friendly's sundaes. I know you don't actually HAVE to buy 10 for $10, but why wouldn't you? It's like they're begging you to empty their freezers, and I'm happy to oblige.

The pricing is a bit higher however expected for a more organic supermarket. They do have sale items and a store card isn't needed. The checkout flow is smooth and the associates are courteous and efficient. The pricing was a bit too high for me for every day grocery shopping however I will return for certain items, it was a pleasant experience.

But what I don't get is that this same person individual walked into Aldi's with the intent of buying the entire store out of merchandise. Her cart was stacked and loaded a foot over the rim of the shopping cart. She brought along a calculator to add the merchandise up as it was being rung up by the cashier. Problem is, the cashier was much more efficient and had everything calculated as she was barely into her grocery count. Meanwhile, the line was forming and it grew 10-12 deep as she debated the clerk. I had enough and sprang into another line after waiting 15 minutes minimum. Aldi does not encourage this type of shopping. They are efficient and have very good cashiers who will ring up your groceries quickly. I breezed through the other line, bagged my groceries and was heading out the door when this same woman had her check book out with the cashier going through her bags as she debated him over something. My advice to her, ring up your damn groceries on your calculator as you place them in the basket and not at checkout.

To my surprise, the store was completely disorganized. Clothing sizes were mixed everywhere -- unlike most Walmarts where smaller sizes are at the top and larger ones at the bottom. At this location, I had to check every single shelf, which was frustrating and time‑consuming. Most of the employees seemed more focused on their phones than on keeping the store clean and organized. It didn't look like they were using their time efficiently; they seemed more interested in organizing their apps than the store. After checking out, I heard someone mumbling behind me. When I turned around, an employee with a camera on his chest -- apparently monitoring carts -- was pointing at mine. I told him I couldn't hear him because I wear a hearing aid. He pointed at his own ear and made faces in a rude, mocking way. I held up my receipt and walked out. Completely unprofessional behavior.
