Lotte Plaza hosts Lotte, an Asian grocery store in Catonsville. I'm Korean, so Lotte does not deliver the same way that H Mart does. This Lotte is also very specifically in a very Indian neighborhood so there's a lot more Indian items which is really cool. The eggaholic is in this plaza as well as a lot of other different vendors like a sari store. It's definitely suburbia strip mall vibes, but there's a lot of options and a grocery store which friendly and helpful staff.

We were in the shopping plaza to check out EggHolic for an Elite event, and Lotte screamed out to us. Jeremy and I absolutely adore exploring grocery stores in general, but Asian markets are probably our favorite. We had been planning on going to the Catonsville H-Mart because Jeremy has started learning how to make his own Chinese foods, and we needed fish sauce and scallions. I had a vague idea that Lotte existed, but sometimes it takes stumbling upon a place to get me to actually clock it. Needless to say, we didn't need to go to H-Mart after wandering the aisles of Lotte. It's a large, spotlessly clean grocery store. It seemed less crowded/busy than H-Mart, but I'm not really sure why. I supposed the Asian community could tell me in detail why they prefer one store over another, but I'm not that savvy. One can hope at some point in the future, as I learn through exploration, to be able to identify the differences myself. I was a tad disappointed in the small selection of beverages. There are loads of anime-themed drinks, but those don't appeal to me. I absolutely plan on buying some for my 12-year-old nephew for his birthday, though. I did get a gummy bubble tea because I love bubble tea. We managed to fill a basket full of things we needed, things we have never tried before, and other lovely delights. I could spend SO MUCH money in this store. It took quite a bit of willpower to not blow through my entire monthly budget. What fun!

I often come to this grocery store for any and all my Asian shopping needs. You can also purchase typical American products but they would be more expensive Staff are friendly and kind and help as best as they can. The store is well organized and clean. The ambience on a weekday around 2pm is calm, but around 5pm it can get quite busy! Today, I visited during the weekend. I expected it to be busy, but it was still a calm, cozy environment to shop for ingredients. I got to try the authentic Korean dishes at the cafe in the store. The food is absolutely delicious! It's nice to take a break from shopping to sit back, rest the feet, and eat cozy food.

Solid super market. All kinds of Asian foods. Korean, Indian, Chinese, and Japanese cuisine. They have a BBQ Chicken in the food court which is my go to Korean Chicken Wings in the area. Sometimes they run great deals on lobster and also Korean pears as well. They have student discount but it's only for full price items (exclude already discounted items). Good place to get hotpot meats and veggies as well.

This market is one stop shopping for fresh produce, meats and fresh for a great affordable price .... oh and spices ! All kinds of spices. I also find my natural bar soaps and other natural vegan hygiene products that I love to use at a great price! Lotte is labeled an international Asian market so they cater to the communities around the market but you want find an abundance of American food items so if you are looking for typical American groceries this is not the market for you. Now let get to the good about Lotte Plaza! Spices galore, from theeee freshest most responsible prices produce in the area ..... fresh seafood as well! They keep exotic fruits and veggies as well... stuff I never seen in perSon .... durian, jackfruit, soursop, tamarind and so many others and Lotte gotcha !!! I love this market!! Hopefully you will as well

Finally peeked in to see what's offered here. A truly international assortment of offerings!…read more Walk in to the produce section which is full of American staple produce, but also loads of foods that you might not find anywhere else. I saw lots of Latin American fruits and veggies, including three types of coconut, as well as breadfruit, which I've never seen sold fresh anywhere in the States. Prices on most produce seemed reasonable. There are cases of lots of different cuts of meats and fish, including many certified Halal meats. I think the meats were a little on the pricier side as compared to a traditional grocery store, but the selection was impressive. There is a selection of many pre-packaged items. Things like standard cereal was pretty pricey whereas some other things like ramen was more in line with what you'd find at other stores. It was a rainy Wednesday morning, when I came in, so not many folks in the store. Most of the folks who were there were speaking Spanish (indeed, I was greeted in Spanish by an Asian man, possibly the owner, when I walked in), but folks at the register spoke English as well. It's an interesting place. I imagine if I need some specific ingredients for a particular cuisine, I will pop back in here again.

The prices are reasonable and the quality is good. Parking is ok. One caution if leaving the lot to get on Rt 29 south: the ramp is to the left of the incoming ramp from Rt 29. We had already done most of our shopping, but it was nice to walk around without feeling rushed. Parking is a little cramped but manageable. The store itself is pretty clean considering the amount of foot traffic it gets. You do get some organic smells in certain sections, especially around the seafood area, but that is expected with fresh products. As far as groceries, they usually offer multiple options at different price points, which is helpful. Whether you are looking for something budget friendly or more specialty, you will likely find both. It is a great source for finding ingredients and snacks you will not see in an everyday grocery store. Items are labeled clearly, which helps if you are unfamiliar with certain cuisines, though sometimes I still have to do a little homework in the aisle (on my phone). Checkout speed was decent when we went, nothing crazy, just smooth and efficient. Staff is pleasant, though there is rarely much interaction outside of the register. In the rear there is a food court with multiple vendors serving different cuisines. You can find Korean dishes like bibimbap and bulgogi, Chinese stir fries and noodles, Vietnamese pho and banh mi, along with fried chicken and other hot foods. I have seen plenty of people on social media doing food reviews there, and once you see the variety it makes sense. There is a decent amount of seating, and the food comes out quick with solid portions. Overall, it is good for families, foodies, meal prep, or anyone just looking to try something new. Being able to shop and grab a meal in one stop is a plus.
