I brought our commercial vehicle into the body shop to repair damaged done to the drivers door. The damage was not much just cosmetic. I told them this was our only service vehicle, and we'd be shit down without it, so please turn it around asap. I made this appointment weeks earlier and dropped it off the afternoon prior to the appointment. After 3 days passed I called for an update...they hadn't started at all and it was just sitting outside days. THEY HADN'T DONE ANYTHING BUT RIP A MOLDING OFF! I had them stop and went to collect it immediately. They promised to call and make it better but a week later, just like my vehicle, absolutely nothings. So if you have no pressing concerns about when you get your vehicle back, I'd give them a call and thus be happy to get to it whenever the hell they feel like it. I don't understand companies that make appointments that don't mean anything. I could have drop it off at a later date if they got busy and I'd have really appreciated knowing they were too busy to work on my truck. He helped me organize everything from the loan application, which rebate to choose, the best way to go about accessories, and even helped me understand the best ways to ship the vehicle to California. Several of my friends have purchased Corvette's from Bill Stasek. They told me about the new Stingray being on display at the dealer today. I drove 50 miles to the store to see the car. I had cash in hand to put down a deposit and place an order. When I arrived and went to the sales desk I was turned away and told the viewing was by invite only. I told them that my friends had received an invite and told me about the event, but that made no difference. Was this a smart business decision? Word of mouth was earning you a new customer. Now I will take my money and business elsewhere. Furthermore, when I posted this experience on their Facebook page, they deleted my comment and then blocked me from posting on their page or leaving a review for their business. Buyer beware: they use two common scams on used car buyers (especially those paying up front): first they add a "VIN engraving" service to the bill. This is a completely unnecessary service, costs $400, and they insist on doing it even if you don't want it. They literally refused to sell us the car unless we allowed them to add a $400 service that provides nothing we want. Second, they try and hit you with a credit check to get a look at your finances, even if you're paying up front - this is unethical and unnecessary. Just say no. Finally, when you call them on this stuff, watch that friendly sales demeanor change and the pressure start. They actually told us we "better be ready to buy" if they got the manager to drop the bogus VIN engraving charge. (They didn't. We walked. They called back later and offered us HALF of the bogus charge removed but nope. This is scam city.) Long story short: maybe buying new is a better experience, but buying used here is swimming with sharks. read more

My husband and I were looking for a new Traverse and just had a terrible experience at a dealership close to where we live. We decided to go to Stasek on the recommendation of my husband's boss - he's a long time client. It was like night and day! We got to Stasek and were immediately welcomed by Jeremy. He introduced us to Krystle and we worked with her to establish exactly what it was that we wanted. It was like chatting with a friend; pleasant, easy, no pressure, and she knows her stuff. I visited this location with my husband after he saw an advertisement for his ideal truck on carguru.com. We drove to the location, was assisted by Memo, and was pleased with the truck's offering. We even did a test drive. Once inside to handle the business, Clarence showed the screen shot of the advertisement that brought him into the location. Basically, the price shown would not be honored. The explanation was that the truck had recently been received and had been taken from service or the mechanics in order for us to test drive it. The full inspection had not been completed. Real bad experience. I went in there to purchase my first vehicle ever. Shopping with Bill Stasek was one of the worst experiences ever. I was looking for a vehicle they didn't have but promised me to get one transferred over from another dealership. After hours of negotiating and running my credit a total of 13 times (which I didn't known until after the fact.) we finally reached an agreement and finalized everything. After signing and paying my down payment I was told my vehicle would be there no later than 3 days. After a week of not hearing from my sales representative I decided to go in and find out what was going on because I was having a hard time reaching them by phone. They had me going around in circles. After finally reaching the salesperson I was told they were having trouble finding a vehicle that they already said the transfer was approved on. Their excuse was that they had a hard time finding a vehicle that met my needs because I "picked a color that was hard to get". I was super frustrated and asked for my down payment back when I was told i would have to come back during the weekday which I did. After a search on Autotrader and then on www.stasekchevrolet.com to verify the that the prices matched and to read the fine print I inquired about a brand new 2019 Camaro (STOCK #162777, VIN# 1G1FB1RS2K0149892) with an M.S.R.P. of $31,755 and a "Stasek Sales Price" of $23,988, which included a "Stasek Savings: Dealer Discount available to everyone" of -$5,767 and 2 conditional offers of $1,000 each for residency and financing through ALLY bank. Which brings us to the "Stasek Sales Price" of $23,988. When you call Stasek Chevy you do not directly talk to a salesperson, but rather a call center that then passes along your information to a salesperson to call you back. I placed my original call on Thursday October 17th 2019 and was told by the call center a salesperson would get back to me in 10 or 15 minutes. A few hours passed and no one called, so I called back and was told sorry, but sales is really, really busy today. I did not receive a call back until some time on Friday, but I was at work so I called back on Saturday a Steve that left me a voicemail. So how could a sale price listed on the internet include Conquest rebate that was $1,000 short? I stated to him that Stasek is no different, if not worse then other Chevrolet dealers for the bait and switch pricing and said they were better because he was laying out for me now on the phone instead of in the elevator up to the financing department. I said your worse, because you claim to not do these things and the only reason you told me was because I specifically asked. It is quite a ride for me to get to Stasek Chevy so I wanted clarity on the pricing before I wasted my time. The perks of discounted service, free car wash, etc. are not worth the wasted time of waiting on their service. I called ahead to ensure that there was no waiting for a simple oil change to which they replied there was not. After scheduling an appointment and getting to the dealership 20 minutes after my phone call I still had to wait over 2 hours for an OIL CHANGE. A simple 15 minute procedure took over 2 HOURS. Not once was I approached with an update of when the vehicle would be ready nor was I given an apology for the ridiculous time it took to complete the simplest form of car maintenance jobs. I have been in contact with the sales team for a few days to look at a car and as I finally get there, the car "just sold" this morning. Let me start by saying that Brent was awesome and worked with us and within our budget to get us at pretty much exactly where we needed to be with payments! What do you expect from a car dealership? A guy to up talk you about buying a car you are already interested in. That was the case for me. They told me everything i needed to here about the car a pre-owned 2019 chevy impala for 20 thousand dollars. Payments are reasonable. First problem i had was the dealership did not guve me floor mats for the car. I tried calling the guy Scott Solomon to ask about it he never responded but didnt have a problem sending emails to let him know if theres any problems. The second problem was the fact they didnt give me my spare key fob. Had to travel to dealership for both and inquire in person since my phine calls were ignored. Then yesterday at 1030 am i called the dealership again because my car had a dead battery and i just bought the car in june 2020. They transferred me to finance where I spoke to this guy who basically told me sucks to be you, we got one over on ya (not in those words) he said if the battery was dead with in the first 30 days they would have changed it out of their expense. Im ok with having a bad battery but let it last at least 1 winter. I only had the car 6 months (4,000 milles) and the battery ccas were as low as 131 cca where it should've been around 565 cca as seen in my picture after testing the battery. I called again today 1/5/2021 at around 530pm and was transferred to service manager. Ofcourse he didnt pick up. He then called me at 557pm where i wasnt able to answer to leave a message saying to call him before 6pm because they are leaving. What sense did that make to call me 3 minutes before you clock out? Call me the next day at least. Anyways i would give this place 1 star but the car is dependable and scott was a good dealer. Just the little things that kill the experience of this place. read more

They are absolutely the experts on Corvettes in Chicago and have a warehouse full of them, in addition to salespeople and mechanics trained specifically on the Corvette. When the part came in, they said they would take it to get painted. Two weeks later I called and the part had not been taken to get painted but instead was just sitting in the back somewhere. Second, our bank made the wire transfer, we showed a confirmation to them but now they couldn't give us the truck without their bank confirming the funds and this could take up to 24 hours or possibly Monday because it was Friday. This was a major problem because we came from 3 hours away for this truck. Its been to the dealership so many times for repairs I've lost count. Flooded trunk from a leaking brake light. Sideview mirror that stopped working and need a total replacement and paint. Loud rattle from inside the dash when accelerating. And now currently an alert that says shift to park, even tho the car is in park. Which makes it unable to shut the car fully off. Oh and the rattle in the dash that they have unsuccessfully attempted to fix many many times they claimed/lied and said they found a bottle cap inside the dash. They charged me over $100 saying thats my fault and not covered under warranty. I have never, never had a bottle with a cap in the car. When asked to see the alleged cap the mechanic said he threw it away. Lies. So I drive off and what do you know the rattle is still present and I got $100 stolen by Bill Stasek. And my car currently doesn't shut off. Unbelievable. This car is a plastic cheaply made piece of garbage. And the staff at Bill Stasek will lie and charge you instead of honoring the warranty.
