We just had a Pella stationary window repaired. The bottom sash deteriorated over many years of southern sun exposure and water damage,and the glass actually dropped in the opening with a 3/8" gap to open air. Pablo and his co worker arrived on time as the office scheduled. Communication with Apex main office and their estimating team was awesome. They did not let us down. Pablo removed the entire glass and sash assembly, re milled. New bottom sash, reassembled and asked us if we had stain so he could make it look like new again. They were in and out in 2 hours. Totally clean up the site. I would highly recommend this company for all your window repair needs. read more

I have had THREE appointments, each of them was specific that I could only be available in the PM,they agreed every time and then the day before they would text that "we will see you in the morning ". We hired this company to replace the rollers on our sliding door and clean the door track, for a quoted price of $550. While the roller replacement was completed, we were disappointed that the track-cleaning portion of the service was not done to a reasonable standard. When the crew told us they had finished, the track still had visible layers of dirt and debris. We pointed this out, and they cleaned it again, but the track remained very dirty. That evening, my husband and I spent more than an hour cleaning it ourselves. With some creativity and basic cleaning supplies--even without a vacuum attachment small enough for the track--we were able to get it close to spotless. This showed us that the track could have been properly cleaned; it simply had not been. I contacted the company to request a partial refund for the incomplete service. Only then was I told, for the first time, that track cleaning was "complementary." This was never communicated when we booked the service or accepted the $550 quote. Had we known we would be paying that amount and still need to spend over an hour completing the cleaning ourselves, we would have chosen another company. After asking them to reconsider a partial refund, they offered $25. We appreciate the offer, but it did not feel proportionate to the service that was left unfinished. Clearer communication upfront and more thorough work would have made this a very different experience. read more

We had a bunch of windows that needed to be repaired a year or so ago and our contractor said Apex was the best for this. We recently noticed it was time to replace our french doors that lead out to our backyard (sigh) so called Apex again. They came out pretty fast and confirmed that the doors needs to be replaced vs repaired. They then sent a quote, which seemed like a lot....although comparable to other quotes I ended up getting later on. The biggest issue was figuring out how to customize our doors so that the color matched our window trims and I could never get a great answer on how to do this. At one point I was about to order the doors, but the one person who takes the orders was on vacation so I decided to shop around a bit. I ended up getting 3 other quotes and was able to do a little research on the material of doors to get and found the other companies more knowledgeable when it came to window/door replacement. I would definitely use Apex for window repairment again, but would recommend shopping around for replacement since there are many options and it's a very expensive purchase. read more

WOW. From the time I initiated the request for a quote to windows fixed was . . . about 2 weeks? I will add that I contacted them over the Xmas holiday, so this was incredible service!!! An estimate was compiled, the price WOW. It was just over a QUARTER of another quote I'd gotten. Thing is, I don't need my entire windows replaced, the frames are fine. I don't need the windowsills replaced (they do need work, but not at this time). I don't need outside scaffolding to get this job done. I needed the foggy, almost completely white (on many windows) glass repaired, and new seals put in. I could barely see out of some of my windows. Now, it's like there's nothing in them, they are so clear and beautiful! I can see my wonderful neighborhood again! My dog can monitor the street from her 3rd floor post! The workmen. GREAT! They arrived promptly at 9 AM and got right down to work. They barely took a break for water! They were really nice guys, and did a wonderful, efficient job. Very tidy, used dropcloths on my hardwood, and helped us move a couple of pieces of heavy furniture. They were finished by around 3 PM. The whole process was amazing, they set up a little shop on my back deck to cut the glass, and got everything done PRONTO. The quality: time will tell with windows, but right now, everything looks like a BIG WIN. I am so happy with my new windows. Quality contractor from sales to installation. Nate opened and inspected every window and door (over 40); he identified issues with 10 ranging from cloudy glass to rotted sashes. On some ones I thought were a problem, he said it could just be scraped and painted or the mechanism just worked like that. Scheduling for repair was next week. Sasha was my technician. He walked around with me and verified issue with each window. He and his partner removed shoes while in house which was really considerate given they were walking in and out of the house a lot. Only quibble was for one of the windows, they didn't adequately use a drop cloth to cover a desk where we had a computer but they did clean up the area later. Value was great and much lower than I would have paid Pella for just 2 windows. The fact that they repair them on site rather than just replace them was great. read more

I had a great first experience with Apex windows. Company gave me a two hour window for the initial estimate and Denis showed up within those two hours the day of. He measured my windows, explained the cost and warranty and the deposit needed to start the job. I called the office set up an appointment and was given a 3.5 hour window. Showed up on time, was professional and efficient. I did not have to wait weeks to have a window ordered as they make their windows in house. (I had a crack in the upper pane). I didn't want to replace the whole window just the pane that was cracked. Would definitely use this company again. read more

So- I waited months to write this review. Apex describes themselves as being able to repair windows as opposed to replacing them. I contacted them received an estimate on what needed to be repaired and agreed to the estimate. They said they needed 30% down which somehow I avoided, thankfully. The day, the technician who was supposed to perform the repair repairs came out and told me that that was only half of what need to be repaired. They stated that this is what's on the list today please do it and we'll talk about the rest at a different time. The person came and looked at the job started doing something to compare. My windows. Left them hanging glass out, trim out in my yard in the basement. I went out to look and all of a sudden his truck was gone so figured had to go get materials went to Home Depot whatever Waited an hour and a half and he never came back so called them and they said oh the driver got strong by a B and he had to leave because he had a allergic reaction so doors open. Have an issue yell and say have an issue I gotta leave Didn't happen. So left my windows open mess glass hanging everywhere and was nowhere to be found when I called the office they said they were gonna call him. That's when the "allergic reaction issue "seemed to come in to play. He appeared not to want to do the job. Later that night the manager of the wheeling office contacted me to see how everything was going knew nothing about supposed to be staying didn't know the guy I didn't do anything. Hear left my place a mess offered to come back. I had already taken a day off work at unpaid and was not willing to take another one after back-and-forth and back-and-forth he was like well what if we come on a Saturday and I just at this point didn't want them back in my house at all ever so the manager of the wheeling office never even heard about the "bee sting" whatever.... Alexander simply didn't want to to the job. It is on a lower level and there are some obstacles, but that is what they agreed to. I would never recommend this place to anyone. read more

The complaint that I have is that the appointment was set up with the window between 12 & 2 o'clock and the technician was 1 1/2 hrs late without any contact. I literally had to reach out to the company to determine why. The other concern I had was that the company failed to reflect my deposit that had been provided 1 week prior to the installation, therefore upon completion of the installation the invoice was incorrect. Although minor it should have been addressed prior to the visit. Overall the job itself was very well done and looks amazing. I have used apex over the last couple of years to rebuild doors and windows on an old house. The workmen did wonderful work and were very efficient. They told me that the door may warp a little and they may have to make an adjustment to get the door to catch at the lock. They would not come out. So the work is good but if you need any follow up, you are up a creek. read more
