We learned that the old windows were not even windows by today's standards, they were just huge panes of glass that gave no insulation. He measured the windows so quickly (like 2 minutes) that I wondered if the windows world 3 actually fit (they did!). The price was extremely reasonable; we had intended to get three estimates but my mom and I both lined Kris so much we decided to go with him right away. I chose a day for installation when Kris was going to be out of town on vacation so he let me decide if we wait to wait until he got back or if we wanted him to send his right hand man Daniel. We went with Daniel who showed up right on time on a cold morning. I thought removing the old badly cracked panes of glass would be very difficult. I was right but they got the old ones out quickly and the new ones in so fast and they finished about 30 minutes before their estimate. They only removed one window at a time and our house never got cold on a 33 degree day This was one of the best customer experiences for a project I have ever had. I chose EV Windows after asking CharGBT to find me a great window company with very good reviews and I'm so glad I did. I do not have one negative thing to say. Max gave us a lot of good information on the best materials, sizing of the doors, etc. He recommended we go to the Pella showroom together to check out all the options, which was super helpful. Based on my experience with Max and Pella I was about to order doors thru them, but then got a quote that seemed quite high once they realized the doors would have to be a custom size and we would also have to customize for color (to match our other windows). I decided it was an expensive enough purchase that I should shop around some more and ended up going with another company. Overall, I found Max to be pretty responsive and knowledgeable when it came to doors/windows. While McCann didn't work for our needs this time they would be worth reaching out to for other window/door replacements in the future.

The windows were largely done well (with the exception of one incorrect size being ordered), but the trim and doors were a completely different story. To start, the rep showed up 30 minutes late to our first appointment with no communication that he was running behind. When everything was finally ordered in mid-November, we were quoted 6 weeks for delivery. We are now past mid-March and we still do not have our full order delivered to the site and one of the doors is expected in May. To top it all off, the rep has been completely unresponsive to messages - I have not heard an update on my order for a week despite 5 messages and the claim that the remainder of the order would be in early this week (pushed back multiple times already). The least they could do is communicate well if they aren't going to deliver on their commitments. I was given no flexibility to cancel my order when these ridiculous delays started and other than a vague "we'll see if we can do a discount", there have been no efforts to make this right.
