We'd worked with them before and been very happy. As we looked for a new replacement top for an item, initially service was great, the salesperson even bringing samples to our home and ordering one sample of one style. This happened because on our initial visit, the front desk person was new and unfamiliar with products, and we selected items that wouldn't work for the small piece of furniture. However, I began to feel "steered" toward a product I realized I didn't want. The initial quote given us also changed. I was completely ghosted. I'd bent over backwards to be patient, accommodating, understanding, etc., but we were in a time crunch on a project and needed to make headway. I left a message for the owner, making sure not to complain but just mention that I knew the salesperson was busy, etc., etc. Nothing again.
The cold shoulder started around the first week of October, and there are religious items in my home, which the salesperson no doubt saw. I began to wonder if the current change in political climate and rise in some antipathies had something to do with the fact I was suddenly persona non grata. I can't prove this, but I have to wonder about the hot-and-cold treatment. read more
