Deserves zero stars. I'm not coming back. On a simple job of replacing two tubes and tires, store returned my bike with parts missing: Both stem covers were left off/missing, one stem valve nut is missing ... And the best part was the front wheel was left loose!! Literally wobbling we I got on to try out the bike outside the store. I came back to have the wheel tightened, which gave the guys a chance to catch the missing covers and nut, but no, they just let it be. So I paid $186 and did not even get the parts I paid for. Careless and unprofessional, not coming back and not recommending this shop to anyone. read more

I was greeted as soon as I entered. My rear tire was flat on my Kona MTB. Another shop tried three times to fix it but failed. Finally I decided to take t to Bikes Direct. I dropped off my wife's bike for two new tires and tubes and I was barely home when Nathan call to tell me he was able to get right to it and I could pick up today before 4 if I liked. I was a first time customer and when I went in for an estimate they could not promise when as they close early and depends how busy they would be before they could change the tires. Maybe today was the best I could get. I was fourth in line soon after they open at 11 am on Sunday. After church I would stop and get an estimate was the plan. They were very courteous to those in front of me and I was pleased how quick they got to me. After a quick look, moving handles, break levers, checking tires, we felt just new tires would be the start. With the quick call back, less than a hour, I told them I would expect such quick service on my next visit:)They held the door open when I left and offered to help load, which was nice. It's not there fault, taxes are spends in Queen Creek. As most other items as well, but quick service in this case. We have another bike that needs their help. read more

I had an appointment to drop off my bike on Tuesday and they sayed it would be done on Friday. I had to go in on Monday five days later And haven't touched my bike I brought it in to get my brakes and my dropper post worked on and after five days I had to go get my bike back and nothing was done what kind of business is this. Never. Never again. This shop has no time limits or gives a shit and customers stuff. Sad really sad. specialized Company needs to come out there and check them. The reason I'm giving it a 1 is because the instruction to assemble the bike is not worth shit. The instruction are generic not bike specific. Also you need special tools to assemble the disc rotors to the rims. For the bike it self I,m not sure because I'm still waiting on the special tools to arrive so I can finish assembling the bike read more

I had a great experience. I needed two new tires, tubes, a tune-up and a new bike seat, all for under $200. Grateful not to have them try to upsale me on equipment like other places. Even though they were busy the customer service was great as they acknowledged me when I arrived and took the time to answer all my questions. Found out the technician (I thought he was the owner) has over 35 years of experience and it showed. I had my bike ready to go by the end of the day. I haven't been on my bike in over 9 years. I used to be in the industry, so I have a hard time drinking my rig into any ol bike shop, if I don't have faith in the the mechanic I will not patronize that shop. I figured I'd check it out. Very fair and competitive pricing, very knowledgeable, they have a quality Wrench (mechanic), kind, and an overall nice atmosphere in there. It's a small LBS, so at times it can be busy and crowded, but the gentlemen here were very pleasant and addressed everyone's needs. I'm very please with this bike masters, and the folks running it. I dropped off my bike for a fork and shock rebuild. They noticed some other areas I needed some TCL and they got approvals and took care of it. I would recommend this place to riders of all caliber, beginner to expert. This bike masters location will take care of you and do the work right the first time around. Since I picked up my bike, my suspension is butter, my wheels true, my derailleur dialed, and my wallet pleased. read more

Very disappointed in Bikes Direct pricing today and my misplaced trust. I brought in 3 old, sun beaten kids bikes, cheap ones, just needing new tires and had no idea they would charge me $250 without giving me a heads up. I have had my bike tires done at Bikes Direct before for about $20 per tire and assumed the bill would have been around $120 or so at the very most for small tires. Could have easily bought three new bikes for less. Buyer beware as always. My fault. Sure wish this store would have recognized the situation for what it was, had the customer in mind, and advised me of the very high prices for kids tires, especially for old beaten up bikes where economy was clearly the goal. When I complained about the bill, they bluntly stated that I learned that I should ask before getting service the next time. Yup, they are right. read more

I just moved here a month ago from Arkansas. I brought my bike in because the movers totally messed up my brake system in moving my bike. When I took it in, the gentleman (didn't catch his name) asked me if I had a couple of minutes. I said sure and we chatted a bit while he readjusted the brakes. I was certainly prepared to pay for this, but when I asked him how much the charge would be; he said there was no charge. I really appreciate their service and will be back in the future. Absolutely terrible service. Despite several other mountain bikers advising me to not take my bike here, I decided to take my bike in for a simple shock service since they were a short drive away. I was originally told it would take 3-4 days for the service. After 5 days, I called in for a status update and was told they needed to order a kit and that it would be done in other 5 days. After not hearing from them for a full week, I called back in and was told that they don't have a work order for my bike and that they would call back in 30 minutes once they find out what happened. I never heard back so I called back the next day, and was told they accidentally ordered the wrong kit, and that they will have it repaired the next day. The next day came and I heard nothing from them. 2 weeks after I originally dropped off my bike, they called to tell me that I need to take my bike somewhere else because they don't have the tools to do the service. For reference, I have a Fox Float X shock which is a very common shock. How they went 2 weeks before they realized they don't have the tools is absolutely beyond me. read more

I would give even less stars if possible. After taking my bike in to get tuned up, a new chain and tires, it still wasn't fixed. When I took it back in, they were very nice, but I asked them to look at something that previously worked, before they touched it and they refused to even look at it. They also told me that my new chain was not enough and I needed to replace the sprockets. I can understand the sprockets, but not once was that said when I took it in for the initial repair. They suggested a new chain, but never said squat about the sprockets needing to be changed. I was going to pay for the cassette to be replaced, but they refused to look at the part that they previously touched. Unless your looking to only get ypur stuff partially repaired and have zero care given about the quality of workmanship, then you don't want to go here. read more

He showed me two choices, which took me forever to decide, but he showed patience and had a great attitude. Stopped in today to get my bike tuned up after years in storage. Sean was super friendly and was able to get my bike in and out in the same day. He told me prices before I left so I knew what to expect at pick up. The shop was lined with different types of bikes! I was not expecting out looking at the small store front. They had different types of bikes along with the popular cruiser style. They even had balance bikes for little kids. Went to this shop because they sold Giants. My bike was stolen and I wanted it replaced with the same quality. Dustin was great! My first choice wasn't a good fit so we took it back. Great pick of bikes with good prices. I was impressed with the variety of multi use or as they call Hybrid bikes. If your looking to get a bike skip Target, skip Wal Mart and go to bikes direct whether it's for a child or an adult. Yes, a little more expensive than a Target bike but you will not regret it for the quality of bike you'll get. Lots of fun bike accessories and biking clothing too. I was very satisfied with my experience. I bought a Giant branded Sonora. I'm 5' 10" and got the large frame size. Yes, different frame sizes based on choice and height. Great place for sure and most of all the customer service was impeccable. Cool guys with lots of biking knowledge whether your looking for a bike too enjoy or rigidly use for exercise they have the answer. Did I mention they give free adjustments on the bike for life? He was able to fix my issue along with helping with other customers and at the end was apologetic that we had to wait even though we were in and out in no time flat. My ancient Specialized (USA made) was so hard to pedal, seriously thought about trading it in. Instead when I took it to Bikes Direct in Queen Creek, they said it was still a good old bike, so I got a tune up. No pressure in any way, Jake was super. Picked it up today, it was nice and clean, and the RIDE was awesome!!! They even cleaned out the shifter, and got all the gears working!! Trent was the mechanic who did the work. If there were 10 stars this place would deserve it!! My husband and I stopped in yesterday to look at bikes, we weren't planning on buying just looking. We were expecting high prices and pushy sales people, boy were we wrong! A nice gentleman greeted us and I am so disappointed I can't remember his name but he was AWESOME! He spent about 2 hours walking us through the different bikes, giving us suggestions, letting us test some bikes out and giving us honest information. He never pushed to sell us something we didn't need for our skill level. We were so impressed with him and his service we left with 2 brand new mountain bikes. We expected to pay of $1000 for bikes and we were pleasantly surprised to find that the man suggested the lower priced bikes and we spent much less that we thought we would. They checked out our bikes, filled the air in the tires, put on our drink holders and all with a smile, pleasant conversation and no pressure to buy. We met the manager Preston and he is really a stand up guy! Everyone in there, customers and workers were smiling and it felt like family. I was able to finance & purchase a $1000 dollar bike. I was going through a break up & my X decided to pack up anything that was of value to me in my house including my new bike. I called the police & they found him & my bike & said he had the receipt & sure enough he had went through my files & took the receipt. Would not take my bike here again. Had issue with my tire, they did not fix it and just said to bring it back if it kept going flat, which it did. I would have brought it back however one of the employees there was very unprofessional and rude. His name was Eric, not sure if he was the manager or owner but very rude to the other nice employee at the front desk. Do yourself and your bike a favor, take it elsewhere. read more
