Ask the Community - Archers Bikes

    Do you service KBO eBike?

Yes, we can work on the KBO.

I would like to bring in my 2013 Micargi beach cruiser to have new tubes and tires put on, about how much is the cost? Thank you.

Tires are about $25 each, depending on the one you select. Tubes are about $10 each, but you might get a thorn resistant tube for a bit more. Usually, these can be changed while you wait.

Whether old and nearing obsolescence, I was trying to match what I had on my back tire and during my phone search yesterday I found that they had what I was looking for. Looking around their store I must say they had los of merchandise. The bad... seriously weighing the $10 fee for installing my new tire on the rim, I decided to let them do it. Now I certainly am no bicycle expert, just a person who likes to ride. One would expect the people who work in a bike store to be the experts. This tire is directional, as was the one that needed to be replaced. They didn't care. Perhaps it makes no difference which side the lever is on but to your anal, non-professional, you expect the lever to be on the same side it was on with the previous tire. One would expect that the serviceman would look at the old tire and then match up the new tire. This did not happen and now I basically wasted the $10 as I had to take the tire/rim apart and install it the way I think is correct. Details... to some it matters to some it doesn't. Attention to detail is something that matters to me. As a professional in a different field it means a lot. In the end I say... LANDIS, use them to buy if the price,is right but for service of a bicycle, go elsewhere. Go somewhere where details, no matter how small and perhaps insignificant actually matter.

Edit to respond to Randy; you misunderstand the budget notes. When I checked in the guy at the…read morecounter did a search on the computer and said the tire I need starts at $45 and they'll call to confirm before ordering. I said anything up to $60 is approved without a confirmation. A set of two well-reviewed tubeless tires is $50 online, see image. I was charged $60 for a single solid tire, which is far worse, as explained by YOUR check-in rep. You took advantage of my pre-approval to order the most expensive tire approved. I ordered a tubeless tire FROM THE OEM for $35 including delivery, see image. So now I need to spend $50 for Archer to install a crappy $60 tire plus $35 for the correct tire and another $50 to have someone other than Archer replace the brand-fing-new tire that I didn't want. Minus a star for a misleading statement.

While many may have standard experiences here, my recent dealings with Jessica, have involved gross negligence, unethical business practices, and a blatant disregard for their own contractual obligations. After three failed attempts to change a scooter tire--for which I was charged multiple labor fees (Over $110 with ABSOLUTELY NO RESULTS)--the shop's mismanagement resulted in: Structural Damage: An employee (Sloan) used a crowbar on the folding mechanism, causing a stress fracture (immediate) and over time it spread, completely severing the folding neck lock and also breaking the neck tension locking wrench making the scooter inoperable and no possibility of repair. **WATER DAMAGE AND FIRE***: The scooter was stored outdoors on municipal property during heavy rain (not even on theor property) This caused a short circuit, resulting in smoke, fire damage, and total electronic failure to where the scooter was not at all operable or salvagable. Ultimately a new one was purchased. Contractual Breach: When I requested the contractually mandated mediation to resolve these damages ($5,048 in total), Jessica Archer stated on record via a recorded statement, unbeknownst to her, but allowable under Arizona Law, she can be heard saying to me on recording that she would not honor the mediation clause because " she is going to do whatever she wants because it's her contract , and she's not going to mediation with me or going to honor her contract" Furthermore, my attempt to resolve this in person resulted in being intimidated and threatened with physical removal by staff (Jessica ordered Nicholas when i informed her she has a legal obligation to abide by it). I have served a formal demand letter as of January 22, 2026. Be aware that their service contracts contain "binding arbitration" clauses that they themselves may refuse to honor as such is the case with me, which then allows you to petition Superior Court to forcefully make them abide by mediation or have trial by judge or jury. Proceed with extreme caution! Upon dropping off , the demand letter and employ told me that jessica no longer works there. I informed him that reality and the Corporation Commission of Arizona says otherwise as Jessica and Randi are owners and principal agents....and of course this lie to avoid was recorded as well. If my demand to be compensated $5048.75 is not met by 01/29/2026, the certified letter goes out in the mail from Superior court that im moving forward with A Compel to stay or arbitrate which forces them to mediate or have trial by jury or judge. UPDATE: After receiving the demand letter pictured, they offered me a $90 refund to correct their actions listed in the letter. I didn't accept their offer. I'm In the process of filing a civil suit in North Mesa Justice court under the presiding judge Honorable Kyle Jones.

Rogue sells you a high-priced bike, pockets your money, and takes no responsibility when things go bad. I paid $1,500 for a new Velotric Fold1 in late 2025. By Spring 2026, the battery (with a full charge) would go only 2 to 3 miles, then completely die. After cooperating with Velotric's warranty department to troubleshoot, they concluded what was obvious: it needs a new battery. Only after several weeks of back and forth troubleshooting did they inform me they have no batteries in stock and it would be another 2 months until they had any. They provided no compensation of any kind for the major disruption, nor did Rogue Electric Cyclery. Both Velotric and Rogue Electric Cyclery continue to sell new very expensive Fold 1 bikes that come with new batteries. However, neither Velotric nor Rogue is willing to provide one of those batteries to cover a customer's legitimate warranty issue. I am still waiting for a new battery covered under warranty.
