I stopped by Landis because I couldn't get the pedal off my bike, and I needed to swap them out for light‑up pedals. Ed jumped right in and helped me get everything taken care of quickly. While I was waiting, Jack helped me with a bike map and answered my question about the best oil for my chain -- he recommended the one made specifically for bikes, which was super helpful. Both Ed and Jack were incredibly professional, friendly, and knowledgeable. Amazing service all around. Highly recommend! read more

Very disappointing experience with the service department I brought my bike into Landis Cyclery today after the rear tube went flat. I had the rear tube replaced at Landis on May 12, 2026, and since then I have only ridden the bike a couple of times. I also made a point of checking and maintaining the tire pressure at the recommended PSI before riding. When I arrived, I spoke with Service Manager Aaron and explained the situation. I mentioned that I believed the air was coming from the area of the Schrader valve rather than from a typical puncture. Aaron immediately suggested that it could have been a thorn. When I explained that I didn't believe that was the case, he responded in a very condescending manner, explaining that the tubes are "thorn resistant," not "thorn proof," and then said, "You know what the difference between something that's thorn proof vs. resistant is, right?" Regardless of whether the failure was caused by a puncture, improper inflation, or a defective tube, I don't think there's any reason to speak to a customer that way. After inspecting the tube, Aaron said that I must have ridden the bike with low tire pressure because of where the hole was. I again explained that I consistently check the PSI before riding specifically because I take bike safety seriously. He then told me, "I don't know what you want, man. You need a new tube and a new tire." At that point, I told him that I simply wanted my bike back and that I didn't appreciate the way I was being spoken to. I've attached a photo of the tube. The failure is right near the Schrader valve, which makes me question whether this was a premature tube failure or possible defect, particularly given that the tube was installed only about four months ago and the bike has seen very little use since then. What makes this especially disappointing is that my family is currently in the market for new bikes, and I had originally intended to purchase them from Landis Cyclery. After today's experience, however, I will be taking my business elsewhere. Problems with bike equipment can happen. What matters is how a business treats the customer when something goes wrong. Unfortunately, the attitude and condescending treatment I received today completely changed my opinion of Landis. I expected better from the service department, especially from a Service Manager. I hope Landis management takes a serious look at how customers are being treated in the service department. A Service Manager should be de-escalating situations and helping customers--not talking down to them. read more

Great service and selection. They have the great brands and do such great work. Everyone is truly caring and seem to want you to get the most out of your experience. As far as local bike shops go, this is one of the best. read more

Well this is actually a story of good and bad. The good is that they had the tire I was looking for. Whether old and nearing obsolescence, I was trying to match what I had on my back tire and during my phone search yesterday I found that they had what I was looking for. Looking around their store I must say they had los of merchandise. The bad... seriously weighing the $10 fee for installing my new tire on the rim, I decided to let them do it. Now I certainly am no bicycle expert, just a person who likes to ride. One would expect the people who work in a bike store to be the experts. This tire is directional, as was the one that needed to be replaced. They didn't care. Perhaps it makes no difference which side the lever is on but to your anal, non-professional, you expect the lever to be on the same side it was on with the previous tire. One would expect that the serviceman would look at the old tire and then match up the new tire. This did not happen and now I basically wasted the $10 as I had to take the tire/rim apart and install it the way I think is correct. Details... to some it matters to some it doesn't. Attention to detail is something that matters to me. As a professional in a different field it means a lot. In the end I say... LANDIS, use them to buy if the price,is right but for service of a bicycle, go elsewhere. Go somewhere where details, no matter how small and perhaps insignificant actually matter. read more

I've bought a couple bikes from the dealership and been super happy with them. I just bought my levo from a gentleman named Kevin, and was very excited, but a gentleman by the name of Jeff ruined any chance of me spending another dollar with this shop. I came in to pick up my bike from Service and had a buddy with me. We took about 30 seconds to turn on the bike and look it over and Jeff told us we needed to go outside and basically kicked us out. I highly recommend Kevin to anybody, but Jeff unfortunately ruined my experience with them. read more

Super helpful & quick fixing a flat and offering a bit of advice about my bike. Love the small town, personalized vibe of this shop.

Needed a new wheel to get me through my few days visiting Phoenix because I brought the wrong one by mistake. Obviously didn't want to spend too much when I already own several wheels back in Denver. Hudson understood immediately what I needed, found an affordable wheel that would work well and then suggested the best solutions for cassettes, rotors etc that would get me rolling. He was totally professional, settle wheel up for tubeless in just a few minutes, mounted the tire and rotor and got me back out ready to ride, while still suggesting the best options to control costs. All this on a Saturday afternoon when the shop is busiest. Very professional service and friendly treatment. read more

They know there products well. Well version electric bikes, and battery types. I recommend them highly

I want to ride by bicycle, I want to ride my bike..... and I have and love my new ‍‍! I went with the Electra Bicycle Company townie 7d eq, teal and yellow, with a silver basket, French fries bell and it pairs perfectly. I found this beauty at Landis Cyclery in Tempe. They were awesome to work with and highly recommend them! Kevin went above and beyond and took the time to answer all my questions (I had a lot) and provided a safe space to test ride/purchase. Plus, he made sure that I had all the necessary accessories and was ready to go! Beep beep! Highly recommend. THANK YOU! read more

Jeffrey helped us buy a couple of bikes, and it was much easier than I ever expected! We wanted simple hybrid bikes, and he found us the right types and sizes. In addition, we got locks and helmets, and you get 10% off of accessories if you buy a bike there. It was great to try the bikes out in the parking lot before purchasing, and he helped us put it away in the car, too. They really know bikes here and provide good customer service. Overall, it was a seamless experience. read more

I was close to purchasing a Salsa Journeyman from these guys but decided that I would rather have a steel frame so I passed. Even though I didn't engage in a transaction with them I walked out of the shop thinking to myself what a great group of guys they were. My mom bought me my first "big" bike here in the early 70's so when my bike needed some work I found they had a location close to me in Tempe. When I took my bike in everyone was super nice and helpful. They didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need. I will definitely be back! Thanks! read more

Not one to write bad reviews but this place really left a bad taste. Called beforehand to make sure they replace bike tubes - they confirmed. So I hauled my tires up there. It was a weird feeling in there - they treat you like a nuisance. They told me they dont do these tubes and id "have to figure it out on my own. Maybe we could charge you $100+ but we dont even want to do it." I looked at another guy working there and he rudely says "im not helping you, he is(pointing at the other guy)" It was crazy, I left and ill never be back! read more

I can't say enough good things about this shop and the staff! First off, I was greeted promptly when I entered a few weeks ago. I explained i had a very bad experience with the bike shop that I bought my electric bike at and was looking for a new shop I go trust and use going forward. I also explained I was anti-helmet but, had seen some nasty spills and knew it was time, I also didn't want to "break the bank" but wanted something comfortable, with as much air-flow as possible and great protection! They took their time and found me the perfect helmet that was on clearance too! Well, l should have wrote a review for that experience alone BUT... here is were it even gets more amazing! I have a 2019 Specialized Como Turbo 3. I noticed something wasn't right (this has happened once before were the old bike shop tried to scam me) and I took it in to Landis (remember I didn't buy it through them). They said they would take a look at it but they suspected the frame was cracked down where the motor was located. Sure enough, that turned out to be the situation. They contacted Specialized for me, and a big shout out to Specialized who stepped up and sent a brand new Specialized Como Turbo 4 to replace this bike that I've had less than a year. Landis put the Como 4 together, transferred my rack, water bottle holders, battery lock (I had an Abus lock keyed to match it) mirror, tire inserts and phone holder from my old bike to the Como 4. When I went in to pick it up, I asked how much I owed? And they said, "don't worry about it". On top of that, they said, things may adjust and feel free to bring it back and they will give it a FREE tune-up!! Yes, I took money out of my wallet to ensure all the guys there could have pizza on me. But, more importantly... that is just... AWESOME CUSTOMER SERVICE!! read more

I ride my bike everywhere. And, after messing up the fine turning of gears, brakes, and tire misalignment when replacing flat tires and tubes, I finally elected to have the professionals take over. Smart move. The pros at Landis are quick, painless, and inexpensive (considering the alternatives). The times I rolled in for service, I was out in less than 20 minutes, and peddling smoothly for under $20 bucks. This shop has always had 4-6 techs working at the same time. And, their continuous conversation will entertain you while you wait. Further, they will not make you feel stupid or like an outcast for your ignorance or for joining their banter. When visiting the shop take a look at the prices of biker clothing. It's near the $$$$ of golfer outfits. Thumbs up! read more

Great place for high quality bikes. I have no knowledge of bikes I just knew I wanted to get my brother a bike that would last him awhile. Ended up with a Trek bike & had them switch out the pedals. The staff was super helpful & communicated well with me. They offer a tune up to 90 days after purchase, might be utilizing not sure if it's needed yet. I'll be in soon to get myself a bike as well. Rode my brothers and it was super smooth & fun. Need one myself! read more

Great guys, I bought a bike 3x the price I was looking to spend and they were super cool when handling a repair I needed a year later.

Called the store to see if they had a certain type of cycling shoe for a gym bike. The person on the phone was so unhelpful and just said "well you need to find that out" like.. your a cycle expert store. Shouldn't you know? While I was asking if I could take a picture of the clip and come in to see if they knew what it went to, the other phone rang and he hung up on me. Thanks for nothing. I'll just buy them online read more

Good and prompt service. I had a wheel that was bent during an incident. I had tried to get help at some other shops, they weren't available or their service was terrible. I was in and out in about 10 minutes with a new wheel at a decent price. But the service always makes or break a deal. The gentleman helping me out even showed me some bikes that would be suited for my wife. I may have to go in there soon to upgrade her to one of the options. Thank you. read more

This is the best bike shop I've been to in AZ. Went in as a brand new rider with no clue at all. I had a ton of stupid questions and they patiently answered all of them lol. These guys are very knowledgeable, honest and no pressuring in buying at all. I went in there 3 days in a row and they hooked me up with the perfect bike. Specialized fuse comp 29. This is my 2nd bike I bought from them. I don't remember all the names of the guys in the shop but the manager and staffs customer service is Bombay. They go the extra mile to make sure your fully satisfied. Props to my dude Nick Glazier for setting me up with everything. Hit them up for your bikes need. Great selection of bikes and accessories. I was able to get what I needed at the end of a busy weekend. Thank you so much!

Great customer service. Reasonable prices. Repair and Maintenance done well and reasonably priced. Love the Tempe north staff.

BACKGROUND Cleaning my garage inspired me.... Well, actually Marie Kondo's book The Life Changing Magic of Tiddying Up inspired me, but finishing my garage was a visual affirmation of what I am capable of accomplishing when I'm inspired. Which began a positive feedback to accomplish more and more and more... which leads me to my bike. My bike situation was a thorn in my side. I bought my bike ages ago and always liked my bike, but couldn't get it to work right, specifically the tires were always getting flats for no apparent reason. Since I paid a lot for it at the time and felt that it was a good quality bike, I just got frustrated with it constantly being broken and put it outside, I'm not proud to say. Once my garage was finished, I couldn't wait to get my bike fixed. So I called Landis Cyclery and spoke with the manager Jim. SERVICE EXPERIENCE Jim suggested that I take pictures of my bike and email them to him to see if he could even fix my bike before I dragged it in, which was a fantastic idea. I emailed him the photos and he said he could definitely help me and to bring my bike in. I brought my bike in within the hour and Jim checked out my bike and said he could restore it and still keep the cost reasonable. Jim called me a week later and said I could come pick up my bike. He replaced my chain, gears, tires, grips and gave my bike a tune up. The best part of the experience was getting back on my bike and riding it for hours, which makes me feel so free and happy. CONCLUSION I would absolutely refer everyone to Jim at Landis Cyclery for all of their biking needs. I feel confident that even if he couldn't do the job or have what you needed, he would give you solid advice. But most likely, he could and would enthusiastically help. 5/5 RECOMMEND OF NOTE *There is plenty of parking. *The shop is RIGHT off the 101 Freeway Southern exit. read more

I went into Landis with my dad on Saturday to look at bikes for him. My dad is 6 foot 9 and we weren't sure If a bike would be big enough for him. My dad just retired and wanted something to pass the time. When we walked in we were instantly greeted by Dave. My dad and I explained what we were looking for in a bike for him. My main concern is safety for an extremely tall guy. Dave was so patient and took tons of time to explain everything to us. My dad was even able to test drive a few models. We found the perfect bike with tons of bells and whistles for an amazing price! Dave even took the time to explain helmets and what the difference was between a few. Im so excited for my dad to start a new chapter, and extremely thankful for Dave who went above and beyond! If you are ever looking or have questions go see Dave at Landis!!!! read more

I can't say enough good things about Landis Cyclery in Tempe. For me, Landis checked all the boxes! They really do have a great group of guys working there with excellent, friendly and knowledgeable customer-service. While visiting the store several times, Kevin, their Store Manager and Cole in Sales & Service went out of their way to assist me, answer all my questions, and give me excellent advice and recommendations. With no pressure sales, Landis has integrity and cares more about assisting your needs (and or) servicing your current bike than trying to up-sale you into something! Building relationships with your clients is important, and Landis does an excellent job of that. With a very nice selection of MTB, Road, Gravel & eBikes, along with parts, clothing, helmets and apparel... Landis has something for everybody! We highly recommend Landis Cyclery (5 STARS). read more

I'm not sure what the problem is but every time I go into this store I get completely dismissed, today is stood around for nearly 30 minutes and didn't even get a greeting. Several People walked in AFTER ME and were greeted and immediately approached/helped. Is it because I was wearing gym clothes? Under 30? I didn't wheel my bike in... maybe that was the issue. I'm really disappointed because Landis is big and they're my local shop so I try to support these businesses over shopping online but if this is how it's gonna be I'll take my business elsewhere. read more
