This place is even better than Landis and wished I had known about them sooner! I have a very old one gear bike that's been with me for a very long time and I have sentimental ties to it that I just cannot get rid of it, but also it's in good shape still to ride around. This bike had a flat tire and needed a tube exchange and also the seat was ripped up and needed a replacement. I came in here earlier this week to see if they could help with my needs and they went above and beyond and I cannot thank Dylan enough for his courteous, nice, professional and sweet customer service. Dylan from the get go was so nice to me and told me no problem to change out my flat tire. He also helped me pick a bike seat that would work for me. Initially, I choose a more comfy seat but changed my mind and called them the next day, and they said no problem to pick a sleeker bike seat. They are also very professional as my bike seat was chained to the frame (bought my bike in NYC - theft prevention) and they made sure I gave them permission to cut off the chain before proceeding with work. Dylan was very friendly and we chatted more about learning to fix a flat and he told me their shop does clinics and also rides and encouraged me to follow them on IG for activities. And when I paid for my service and replacements, he even offered to help me mount my bike to my bike rack, what a sweetheart and his mom did a good job raising him. I'll definitely be back here for my bike needs and while Landis is solid, this place is closer to me, so I might be coming here more often because of top notch service and convenience to where I am. read more

We actually went to a Bike Masters closer to where we live in Mesa and the gentleman there wasn't interested in pulling down the bike that my wife wanted and was trying to sell her on a larger bike. So he sent us to another store that had the bike he felt my wife should have. This is where the sales person there did us a favor. We went to this store and met Todd! Went in searching for a variety of biking items. When I entered I was not greeted by anyone and the store looked rather empty (both people- and stock-wise). After looking around a bit, a salesperson from behind the counter finally greeted me and asked what I was looking for. After stating what items I was looking for, he simply stated "ok" and that was it. No movement to try and assist. I hung around for a bit and then just left. Bought a Pivot Mach 5.5 from the Ray location a couple of years ago. Brian, the manager at the time, included a $300 store credit. Over time used some of the credit. And when I went in for a 2nd tire, Jordan, the new manager, had to contact friend Brian who hid quit, to locate the store credit file before I could get the tire. OK. Then fast forward several months after that when there was yet a new manager my remaining $46.56 credit was no where to be found. He said he would check with the owner ... no response ... so a sent a few emails to the store. No response. Now let's be real. $46.56 is nothing when compared to the price of a new Pivot. Went to a competitor (Gloabal Bikes) beforehand and was told a brake adjustment would be 5-7 days before they could look at it. This was after standing in the hot sun for 45 minutes so they could help 1 person at a time with 4 employees on the clock. They then wanted to overcharge me-and had overcharged for a tune up in January. I called Bike Masters and talked with a young man named Max. He said bring your bike in now and i can do it while you wait. I did, and Max was right there to take my bike and made the adjustment in 5 minutes, then checked my gears as there was slippage. No waiting in the sun, 4 people were allowed in the AC cooled showroom at a time (which is plenty of distancing in COVID times). Then, he didn't charge me for the simple fix. Bike Masters-you sold me. I am a new customer and will let everyone i know about what you did for me, and your customer service skills. I have used Yelp to find companies for years, but have never been impressed enough to write a review of my own. This local bike store's service prompted me to create an account AND write the review! Story: I am a single mom of two teenagers who needed to be able to get around over the summer. I went here to see what they might have to offer within the price ranges I was willing to spend. They helped my kids pick out bikes that were right for them (I didn't know my son would beed an XL because he is THAT tall). They helped us pick out helmets that fit their heads properly too. My Son's bike had to be ordered, and it came in way ahead of the promised date. Today my daughter rode her bike to summer academy and the chain slipped off her bike. Because it is a cruiser with several speeds she was at a loss for how to get it back on. She was so upset, and felt stranded! She was away from home, I was away at work, and she had a bike that wasnt working. I called the store for help, and they were willing to go to her once they had enough staff in to cover the store! I felt so much better knowing she would get her bike fixed and be able to get home. And super impressed that they were willing to help even though I knew they had no responsibility to do so. I brought my bike in to have a handlebar riser installed and asked him to adjust the rear brake as it was rubbing on the right side. He said well maybe it needs new brake calipers. I said no, its a brand new bike that hasnt even been ridden. 2 weeks passes and I go in and ask about it, He says it will be ready tomorrow. I return and am told that will be $120. For five minutes work installing a $10 part. He says that they replaced my whole brake system front and rear. I said I didnt ask for that. So he Saidcome back tomorrow and it will be ready. I returned the next day and he says that will be $70 because it turns out the gear changer on the handle bar was broke. It wasnt broke the day before when he was returning my bike but now was! Amazing. He explained with a smile that he was charging $40 For labor. It should have taken him 5 minutes to install the handlebar riser and adjust the brake. What crook! read more

Terrible customer service and terrible communication. Had to take my bike in several times and still ended up without the repairs needed. Paid for a tune up and they didn't grease my chain or fix my kickstand they replaced one tube instead of both as asked (communication issues) took my bike down the street to have them do the job right and they found 3 thorns still in the tire itself after it was just changed at bike masters. I would give 1 star (or none) but the manager took care of me at the end. It took about 4-5 minutes for anyone to acknowledge I was standing there. Once they did they were really nice though. Told me my bike would be ready in about 3 or 4 days which was totally fine. (tune up) 4 days later they called and said it was ready to get picked up. I'm glad I test rode it before I left since I live 50 minutes from the shop. It would not shift into the 3rd ring. They told me on the phone that they test rode it. If they DID test ride it, how did they not realize this? After 40 minutes of tweaking the bike and it still not working they said they would hang onto it and figure it out. A week later I called them (because they never called me) and got the manager who said he would take care of it. Which he did. When it was finally ready 2 weeks after I dropped it off, we still had to go back and forth a couple times to get it to shift. He didn't charge me for a new shift cable ($5-$8) and gave me a 10% ($1.08) discount on a new chain. Not really that great of a hook up (especially after driving across town twice because they didn't fix it the 1st time) but I'm happy with the gesture. The shop is a really nice shop and the guys are nice guys. But why did the service suck so bad and why did they tell me my bike was ready to go when clearly they didn't tune it? read more
