The good: the milk tea is pretty good. A lot of boba places have milk tea that tastes mostly like non-fairy half and half. Their milk tea has a nice "tea" flavor to it if you know what I mean. The bad: the boba has a mushy texture and is not enjoyable to eat. The mango pineapple slush was too tangy but worse than that, it had a tap water taste to it. read more

I just left this establishment extremely disappointed with the customer service I received. The young girl who took my order was rude and showed no desire to want to earn her paycheck. During my order, I changed the flavor of one of my drinks which I had just ordered. This made the girl very mad. I love boba so when I moved to Oxnard I was excited to hear there was one near by. I have gone only a few time (4 or 5 time) and the time I have gone I have had bad experiences. First of all the price seemed a little expensive to me because back home I was able to buy 2 thai teas or milk teas for $5.20 and they tasted a lot better. Second the times I have gone they have charged me the wrong price for the thai tea because they have a a slightly cheaper price for iced teas. Third the thai teas I have bought have been on the watery side. The last time I went I was attended by the manager and I went to go buy a thai tea and when she told me it was 4 dollars and something I told her that eveytime I had been there I had been charged 5 dollars and something( don't remember exact price) and all she was sorry. So in the end I still had to pay for the drink. I think a free drink would have been good for being charged extra. So I am never going again. read more

Cute clean Boba Store. This shop offers boba in smoothies, not tea. Very disappointing for me. It was very very tasty! BOba was cooked perfectly. I ordered extra boba and it as perfect to has some in every sip. There isn't anywhere to sit there hence it's a shop, not a cafe. The staff very young so they were either very under spoken (I had to ask one girl to repeat everything) or rude (one didn't even acknowledge I was there). No one smiled ever. I'm not sure if that's the new California way to treat customers but it made me a bit disappointed choosing this shop. read more

I enjoy both locations. I do eat out quite often. So I do go to both locations quite a lot, enough that the guy or his mom know what I order every time. They are consistent. As with all new place, if you have a new employee. They will mess up at first. But get better. Their other location on Savier can get very busy sometime ( with only 1 worker at certain times of the day.) I don't want you guys to lose customers. read more

I'm a big fan of boba and have been fortunate enough to try many boba franchise. So when we were vacationing in Oxnard, I was excited to find this little place. The reviews were great and I was hopeful. Unfortunately the drinks were subpar. They were definitely too sweet. My son wanted the watermelon slush but only likes the ones made of real fruit, not the powdered one, and I don't blame him. We asked what their watermelon was and they said they use both fruit and powder. It definitively was more powder because the drink tasted artificial. I used to live in Ventura but recently moved to Bakersfield for school. I have tried boba all around Ventura county and never found myself a decent place to go get my favorite Thai tea. I now have a certain spot in Bakersfield that has amazing boba but when I come back into town I can never find a good tea bar with quality boba. When I first walked into big straw boba, I got no welcome. The workers seemed like they hated their job. I tried the tiger tea and the boba was perfectly squish but the milk tea tasted like water with powder and my all time favorite Thai tea was a disappointment. Perhaps it was because it only came in over ice ? A typical boba cost about $4-$5 but just because it came in a split cup they raised the price to $6. My money was not well spent in the end!
