Amazing - so much fun! Melanie and Eric at the bar were so courteous and friendly. They know the city too, so it helps when I'm not from the state. Highly recommend at least a night here so you can see the Texas pool and walk to an Astros game. Will be back for sure! read more

Horrible. Horrible. Horrible. If I could give negative stars, I would. This place refused to seat us on a Monday night when they had more than 10 tables open. The reason: they needed to control how many people were eating. I asked for a better understanding and was told several times that they couldn't use the open tables. This was not a case of part of the restaurant being closed. This was just crappy restaurant management and customer service. Fail. read more

Probably more of a 2.5 to me. I have been planning to try this place since it opened. It's really just a typical overpriced hotel casual dining experience. Service was fine- not excellent but nothing to actually complain about. beer selection seemed good. the one mixed drink we ordered was average- not fabulous. wine was a pain in the butt. if you don't want one of the three things offered you have to get it sent in from the wine bar in the hotel- annoying. I did not like any of the food we had. chili was just too dense- way way too much meat. pretzel and toppings were good but should have been salted. Menu is not extensive. Son had the burger and said it was good. Husband had the BGO and liked it. I had the chicken sliders- they were odd . Fries are giant and coated so we didn't eat those- yuck. I would have preferred a larger selection. everything was really expensive too. I have no problem paying for food but a bottle of wine(78), a beer, one mixed drink, two appetizers and three sandwiches was 200 bucks. I can spend 200 bucks may other places for 3 people and have a much much better meal, drink and experience. tried it, wont go back. read more

I went in here today with my co-workers for lunch. We found the restaurant nice, clean and well laid out- but that is where it ended. The waitress brought us menus, but we did not all receive the same menu, so we were a little confused by what was actually able to be ordered. Then we made our drink order, but it seemed to take a long time before they actually came out. We ordered our food, thinking wow this is going to be great- except our order was sent to wrong table and half of it had to be made a second time. So, while most of us waited our co-workers were able to eat. While waiting, I asked for a re-fill which never came. Finally our order was brought out- well, those of us who were left waiting. I found the Stauss Burger a bit greasy, but over all it was good. The fries reminded me of Long John Silvers for some reason. The waiter, had said to make up for the fact they sent our food to the wrong table, said they would comp us drinks and some more fries...mind you, I am still waiting for my refill. When check was paid, we were apologized to again- still no fries...but at least I got a tea to go. I can say, I will not be back- maybe it is a new restaurant, but still, there are these things called "table numbers" and they might put them on the tables, so patrons will actually get their food on time. Also, if you promise to bring out something- you should ACTUALLY do so! read more

Enjoyed a fabulous meal with my brother and his family before an Astros game. The restaurant was crowded. The food and service was on point. We will be back soon. We enjoyed the brisket sandwich, simple salad and the pesto flat bread. All was delicious read more

Obnoxious amount and size of televisions which is cool at first. Average drinks and food at above average prices. My main complaint is they have more rules than the NFL and they change depending if it's a game, championship game, etc. Always being told where not to stand, not to order, not to use the bathroom and not to sit. Anything other than standing near the bar downstairs requires a minimum amount spent between $50 - $1,000 depending on the amount of people and the night. It's a cool place to check out once but then the glitter fades. read more

VERY DISAPPOINTING- Arrived at 11:00PM on a Wed. night (closing was at least an hour away). There were roughly 6 patrons at bar, an occupied table in bar area and 4 occupied tables in dining area. We sat at a table in the bar area. While we were there we noticed 4 servers, 3 bartenders (less than 10 feet away) and a possible hostess although she wasn't at hostess station at any point while we were there. The menu on the table looked good if somewhat limited, but we have no idea what the food tasted like because we sat there for 20+ minutes and not a single employee approached us. As we left I walked to the bar and let them know that we had been there to eat dinner but I guess they were not interested in serving us since no one ever came to take our order. All three bartenders just stood there and stared at me. Not a single one attempted to apologize or ask us to stay. Seriously?! I am giving it one star only because the Yelp system does not have an option for no stars. read more

Great location, but with a limited menu. Looks like it would be a great place for happy hour... Food was very plain and bland. I ordered naked chicken wings that arrived at the table with small "cooked" feathers still attached... also ordered nachos that were basic at best... menu did not represent the star that biggio is! read more

Check out the picture I posted. 45 minute wait at the door while it's pretty much empty inside. Looks are better than the service for sure. Hosts are in a state of confusion and a little on the rude side. read more

Biggio's - This is Biggio's with a 45 min wait at the front. Completely empty inside but still the wait. Looks are definitely better than the service. - Sports Bars Near Me - Houston, Texas

Want drinks? Meh, Vic and Anthony's has better...want food? Good luck. Not during the World Series - evidently you can't order chips and guacamole, wings or anything else...so don't plan on his bar for big events unless it's for drinks only. read more

Biggio's - Sports Bars Near Me - Houston, Texas

The chicken and waffles are amazing. The syrup has a nice spice added to it to complement the sweetness. The nachos are a great appetizer and they are a huge portion. The beer selection was very weak for being in a big city in the downtown area. read more

Nice big screen tv in the back and good location...however, staff was rude and never checked up on you...

Great place to watch sporting events with TV everywhere, but be aware of the high cost of drinks! $19 for a single grey goose and soda with lime. I have never been to a bar in Houston charging anywhere close to these prices. Living downtown, it is disappointing, but it was packed so the business model must be working. read more

I've been here several time before, and it's a great sports bar for pub fare and drinks that are a bit on the premium side (to be expected). However, I have to draw the line on the unexpected $6.50 change for a SINGLE BLACK DRIP COFFEE. A cappuccino at any nice coffee shop will run $3 - $4, and this Folgers drip cost double that. I even asked to be sure there wasn't a mistake, and I was told by my server "yeah...it's right. Shit is expensive here." Be weary of purchasing anything that isn't on the menu. read more

The food was good, but the service was extremely slow and the price and atmosphere didn't make it worth the wait for me.

This place is aweful and if I was Biggio's I would not want my name affiliated with it. We just had Their Loaded Nachos and it had Homel Chili on it REALLY???? read more

This place is great. Service is fantastic, drinks a great and atmosphere is nice. Almost didn't try because of the negative reviews, but again proves some people are just never happy. read more

Tried this place twice, once during Super Bowl week and again on Friday night Oct 6th, and both times (around 9-11 pm) it was a disappointment. The seating was wide open (at least 50% avail), and there were plenty of staff (20+) standing around chatting with each other, but nobody was interested in our business. No greeting at all. When we got their attention and asked about seating, we were told it would be at least a 30-minute wait. Surely a good manager could get the staff working instead of standing around, and have the waiting customers (about a dozen from what I saw) get seated and start bar tabs. You know, MAKE some money?!! We went through the hotel lobby to the other bar and were able to get cocktails and seating without delay. What a shame! Biggio's is missing out on high-margin beverage revenue on weekend "prime time" evenings because it is so poorly managed. That's two strikes, and I doubt we'll give them a look for a third strike. read more

We went for lunch on a busy day, and struggled to get attention from our server. My kids loved their food but mine was awful. I got the Texan flatbread and the brisket on it was so tough I couldn't even cut it. Needs better quality control. read more

Food was good, but I'm not sure I would call this place a sports bar. It's an upscale hotel bar. The menu is pretty much the best of the great food trucks and better bars, but it's too bad they haven't really tried to have a more unique gastropub menu. I might come near again to give them another chance at night. They have a minimal set of artistic type of drinks, but need to be better read more

Gets wayy too crowded sometimes and service suffers. However they do have a huge TV and the atmosphere is pretty good

I'm a guy who loves heavy and greasy food, but this place pushed even my limits at times. The TVs are incredible and make Biggio's one of the best places to watch a game in town, but they do not always sit you in the main area. Sitting in the offside area feels like eating in a hotel lobby. Not ideal. read more

Hubs and I were in town from California. Upon driving to our hotel, we passed this place and immediately said "we HAVE to try that place" awesome atmosphere, a ton of tv's, huge beer selection. While waiting for our table we ordered drinks at the bar and received fast friendly service. Once we got to our table, it was probably about 8-10 minutes before a server came by and asked if we were "ok" the wait didn't seem like long because we were watching the raider game. Order came out correctly, but PLEASE tell me how the beyond burger tasted better than my regular burger! I waited and waited for our server to ask for some sauce to perk it up, she never came. We asked another server who I wish was our server because she got some sauce right away. Fries were awesome. But still burger was blah. My beer was empty for a while, I was never asked if I wanted another. I didn't even feel the need to ask someone else for it because I was already over this place. Oh, I failed to mention, this server also kept checking on every table in her section, except ours. I also had to ask for our check twice which took forever. Please find better servers. read more

This is a great place to get a drink and a bite. The pretzels were awesome. If you are lucky you may get Chase as a server because he was amazing. He had great recommendations and was funny and present. If you are staying local I would highly recommend this place. read more

I was there Saturday night for the World Series game. The setting was very nice with nice seating areas and two story big TV screens . The waitresses were nice but little under-educated on type of drinks(she didn't know what irish-coffee was) and spotty in checking up on us. We had dinner, and also had 3 vodka and sodas, so when we got our bill, it had a line item, $5 for Rocks. So i asked the waitress what that was, and she said it was for ice...??? I said you charge for Ice? It wasn't even those fancy block ice, but just plain old small ice you get from ice machine.. Is this a trend? they charge $11 for voda and soda, then addition for ice? I am having hard time understanding this... read more

@George A , first let me say this : I've worked as a server before and yes asking (guest)a table to close out is away of us servers starting/ending a shift . nwas wrong with what the server did . Secondly I bet u ate all the damn food before u decided that it was cold . You talking about Wells Fargo for the win , no dummy your friend for the win ! He had to pay for your meal ! At the end of the day it sounded that your mad because you didn't have it your way ! Guess what this is not Burger King !!! This is Biggio sport bar dum dum . Won't be back for dinner. This place claims to be the greatest sports bar and should stick to being just that. I absolutely loved Biggio but this place does his name a disservice unless your looking for a bar. The environment around the bar is top notch. But absolutely avoid for dinner. read more

Had a yummy salad there. Service was efficient and attentive. Went to the bar after eating that was standing room only.

I'm staying at the marquis and was looking for a good place for lunch and I found the right spot. I sat at the bar with no wait which was awesome. Ordered the BBQ brisket tacos with a side of green chile cheese and damn was it delicious! Not too heavy but still so good. The bartenders are so nice and friendly. I am happy that this place is in my hotel because I will probably eat here everyday. read more

My companion and I had lunch at Biggio's after leaving UH Downtown's graduation commencement at Minute Maid Park. We were impressed with the the initial atmosphere of the restaurant. However, it seems that whoever was in charge of the televisions and projectors didn't have the foresight to realize how daylight would poorly affect the quality of whatever is projected onto the screens. Also, the layout of the TVs and screens did not allow for most customers to view games from where they're seated. I expected the menu to be on the pricey side, because if the location. However, the food did not seem to justify the prices. BUT, that I'll remind the audience that this is my first dining experience, so maybe trying something else will wow me. I ordered the Angus Sliders. Nice presentation. I loved the pickles, but there was excessive bread. They were served with "Dugout Sauce", which was described by our server Chace as a spicey mayo. But there has to be another name for that. It just doesn't sound appetizing. My companion thought his tacos were marginal. Iced tea was very good on this hot day. Our server Chace was great! He was very friendly, checked on us here and there (we didn't have to look for him), and just did a bang-up job. It will be interesting to see how this place draws repeat business from the locals, but it definitely helps this establishment being in a hotel (with the Texas-shaped lazy river attraction) and being in walking distance the the ballpark, Discovery Green, and the GRB Convention Center. read more

Service is awful. Ordered a beer and didn't get it until I flagged down another waiter. Burger was dry. Ordered a second beer and still don't have it. No one checked on how my food was or if I needed anything else, not even to give me a check read more

The food was atrocious. $23 bucks for a basic burger and fries and they couldn't even get such a basic meal right. Way too pricey for junk not even fit to serve prisoners of war. Fuddruckers has a much better burger for less than half the price. Will never be back. Overrated & over priced. Deserves no stars. read more

The bar is huge with tons of tvs with sports and the bartenders are working their tails off on a Friday night, but they are seriously understaffed. Unless you sit in the middle of the bar by the cash register you wait forever for service, for silverware with your food, or even for the check. They need more folks behind the bar before the Super Bowl for sure. read more

My group of 6 people were seated promptly, however service was sloooow. Our drinks took 30 minutes to get to our table. At a sports bar!!! When our glasses were empty, we were never asked if we wanted another round. The waitress did not seem to know what was on the menu. I had the nachos with added chicken (extra), which were ok. The cobb salad which someone else in my party had also looked fine. However, the flatbread & the black bean burger were not good. For the price, one would expect better quality - it's average bar food. On the plus side, the decor/ ambiance is great and there is lots of space/ tv's to watch a game. Just don't expect good service/ great food. read more

Stopped at the marriott marquis for a quick bite before the Astros game. Love, love that pretzel. Yummy, best I've ever had, tasty, Soft, not a lot of salt and not loaded with cheese. Plain is the best because you can taste the flavour of the pretzel. Great place for watching the game if you don't have a ticket. However, minute maid park is so much fun, you must buy a ticket and enjoy. read more

I can't give this place a rating because after waiting 15 minutes at the bar for a drink the bartender was too interested in counting his tips and chatting up the ladies than to walk down to our end of the bar to give us service. So, maybe next time. Looks like I have to at least give them 1 star. But let it be known, they don't deserve it. read more

Will probably never return after such a horrible experience from a clear unethical violation by my waiter The food, drinks, and portions were great. The atmosphere was very relaxed and casual- a good place to watch a sports game, especially baseball. If I was just evaluating on food, drinks, and atmosphere it would be 5 stars for sure! HOWEVER!... the service and the experience I went through with my waiter makes it a 2 stars. (The food and atmosphere is what saves it from being a 1 star). He tried to cheat us out of money (explained below) and was never there. I can find another place with great food that actually has great service First, there were multiple times I ran out of my drink and I had to get up to waive down my waiter multiple times. I had to wave my arms like a madman many times just to get his attention for any small thing (wanting to order food, drinks, not having napkins, etc.). While this was very frustrating, I wasn't as livid because it was game 6 of the WS. The issue that really made me frustrated was a blatant UNETHICAL attempt by my table's waiter to CHEAT us out of money. I was in a party of 6 and the bill (understandably) had a 18% service charge. There was no issue with this. However, my waiter told us that none of that service charge went to him. He told us it was a service charge for the table because of how busy the night was. We asked for clarification and he told us that we had to actually add another tip in the additional tip section - basically wanting us to add another 15-20% to a $100+ bill (that was the price without the "service charge") on top of the 18% "Service charge" we were paying... I have heard of cases like this, but a sign is usually posted. Therefore, I thought it was really suspicious. I went to ask (who I believe was) a manager. She informed me that this was incorrect- that the service charge WAS the gratuity charge. Basically, my waiter lied to my party and tried to cheat us out of more money and I can only think that he thought he could get away with it because we were all young females (around 21)... **We had friends earlier who had him as a waiter who were around 45 and he didn't ask them to tip extra (on top of the "service charge")... The "manager" didn't do anything either after I told her about the situation... She showed no signs of astonishment that her employee was clearly violating ethical standards and was trying to swindle us out of money. She didn't say she would take care of the issue or even that she would talk to him. If this is the type of stuff they allow to happen then I will NEVER go back again. I hate when people believe they can take advantage of me and swindle me out of money to pad their pockets I can easily find another sports bar in Houston with better and ethical service... my friends and I liked Biggios and have gone before, but if this is the type of people they hire, if they continue to have horrible service, and if they don't actually resolve a CLEAR ETHICAL VIOLATION ...then I will never go back and I will direct everyone I know to a better bar with better service. read more
