I'm taking off one star for the wait. I didn't have high hopes for this place, but I am new to the area and trying a lot of coffee places. The main reason I ever went to Java and still continue to go (kinda) is because they're open past midnight, which is clutch. Their coffee was always very random and not consistent. I go to this place everyday for my coffee. I work the night shift and usually everyone who works here is very nice and I never have a problem. I had to make a Yelp just so I can talk about this person I've seen recently. It's this blond hair slick back women who looks new and seems like she hates her job and the world. Horrible attitude while taking my order and just bangs and throws stuff around. I never have a problem with my drink or the people who work her but she needs to go. I would drive here every night and if I see her I will just go somewhere else for my coffee. I get charged a different price when it's her and she has the audacity to tell me how to order. Every time I come here they always disappoint today I decide to give them another chance. I order a Sasquatch tracks frostbite. She tells me they're running low on the chocolate chips and there will not be as much in there. I said that's fine thinking there would be at least some in there, there was none at all. These girls suck at making coffee and the employee flat out lied to me about my drink. Not to mention I found a dead ant in the outside of my cup which has me thinking do they ant problem? Really enjoyed this coffee spot. Ended up ordering the big 44oz Mythical Mocha which was delicious. Very sweet, but that's how I like the drinks. Wife had a warm Abominable mocha with oatmilk and she enjoyed it very much. I've been coming here on & off for 10 years. I wanted to get a white coffee freeze/slushie- type drink, a 24 oz. When they blended my coffee, there was about an inch to an inch & a half left over in the blender. When I asked if I can get the rest of my coffee, one of the ladies said she would have to charge another $1 for the cup, after the drink is already more than $6. My experience at this location has always been really good! I don't know them by names but the baristas around the clock have helped me figure out what to order. This location is also relatively fast, I'm usually in and out in no more than 10 minutes (if I'm waiting behind one car). Some of my favorites that aren't on the year-round menu in no particular order: **Maui Wowie Latte: white mocha with macadamia nut syrup, topped with whipped cream and toasted coconut flakes. **BigFoot on the Beach: no coffee, pineapple and coconut blended drink topped with whipped cream. My usual coffee shop was closed on Christmas so I thought I would swing by Big Foot Java because I just needed my caffeine. Sure enough they were open. They are open 24/7! This is a drive thru only. They have the usual espresso drinks, their specialty drinks, Italian sodas, plus some pastries. The prices are very reasonable too. I got a 24oz americano and it was really good. The usual place I go to is a bit bitter and strong. They do have larger sizes which I don't see at other espresso stands. So if I really want to be wired all day, I can get a 32oz americano. They have two sides you can drive up to but there was only one barista working that night. She was helping the other customer first but she took awhile because the customer's order was a big complicated one. She kept changing number of shots and other add ins and asked a bunch of questions. I would have been frustrated with that customer but the barista was very pleasant. I would like to give zero stars! I worked one day at Bigfoot java and that was enough, I was already nervous about working there after the orientation where they were nice but very unprofessional. On my first (and only day) the barista was nice but was talking bad about the area and how gross it is that people go to the laundry mat and how trashy the Burien area is (I happen to live close by) Not to mention that instead of using step stools to reach things on the shelves they walk all over the bar that the coffees are made at. I left there with a bad feeling about working there. I ended up quitting for that reason and a personal reason... That was June 24th, I have yet to be paid for my day of work, so I called about two weeks ago and they said that it would go on the next payroll. It didn't, so I called back and they said that I was supposed to call and remind them to pay me. Then they said that they would send me a check. That was a week ago, I just called and was yelled at and they lost my sheet that said when I worked, so I told them the date and time. I asked to have the number for the manager and was told that they could not give me that info. read more

While we're not often in this area, it's nice to hit up a small coffee business so we wandered up to the window. I got a hot tea in my own 24 oz container and my guy ordered a simple 12 oz drip. We got great customer service today. She asked me how many sugars I like and even offered to add a few ice cubes. I went in November 5th at around 11:50pm and watch the polynesian barista closing and leaving in her car. I thought it was 24 hrs? When you need your coffee and they let you down like that sucks. And I believe this isn't the first time she has closed and left. Because it was closed before at around 1:44am a few weeks earlier. read more

I used to love and visit this location regularly. Unfortunately, the barista who has been working the past few times I've come has been horribly rude to me. She is typically working in the evenings, everytime I come between 5 and 8 she is there alone. She is often cussing at the register and slamming things around. She is short and rude to customers. She will ignore you at the window for 5 minutes and then shout "what do you want" from the other side of the stand. I've never experienced such terrible customer service in my life. Simple request of almond milk, or a iced drink is not hard. Just drove off from Big Foot Java on Ambaum around 7:20pm 6/28/18 without ordering. We were the only customers at the window and the one barista that was working was restocking shelves. we waited for a moment to see if she'll greet us but she acted like we weren't there. We said "Hello..?" a couple times and then finally she shoved everything to the side and came over to the window with an attitude. We tried to give her our order but she was rude, short, and kept cutting us off. Fed up with her shortness, we drove off. This location has the slowest service EVER no matter what time of day. They need to state on their page that they are CLOSED EVERYDAY from 9:30pm until the next shift person clocks in at 10 or even later if they're not on time. It's not fair for people to show up during those times and waste their gas. It was 1:30 a.m. and there were no other customers, only the person in a blue SUV she was having a conversation with. Apparently the conversation was more important than a customer. I've been coming to this Bigfoot for about 3 years now and I think this mornings visit will be the last. The service here used to be excellent and my drink was always perfect but over the last year everything has gone downhill. Some of the girls working there are pretty unfriendly and act like its a chore to answer questions and make a drink. The short haired brunette this morning barely interacted with me and when I handed back my signed receipt she yanked it out of my hand and gave a curt "thanks". Maybe she was mad I only gave $1 tip? I felt that was generous given the service. I will say the coffee the blonde gal made was a lot better than the last few. Last gripe is they never put the punches on your card! I've never got a free drink in 3 years because they just don't add them. Bummer because they have great coffee and smoothies. read more

The baristas during the week are super awesome and the coffee is great every time. The weekend however is not the same. In fact there is one barista in particular that constantly serves me burnt coffee that I can't even drink because it's soooo bitter. Yesterday was the 5th time this has happened. I have brought it up to the manager and weekday staff but they clearly are not going to retrain her so I will need to find a new drive through as I have a toddler and newborn. Sigh read more
