Great location in Burien. I like this Starbucks because there is usually plenty of space to sit down to do some work or take a quick meeting. Staff are always friendly and quick with service. The room is a large square but the music is kept at a decent level so it doesn't feel too noisy. read more

Prior to composing my review, I first saw the low rating of 2.7 stars. I thought that I was at the wrong address for this absurdly low rating. But no, it is the correct location. It's the one on the corner, adjacent to Aliberto's Mexican Food, diagonally across of Sound Credit Union, and further located across of Walgreens. This is the BEST Starbucks in the South Seattle area. Hands down!! So why the low rating?? I sorted the reviews to most recent review, prior to posting this one. The "most recent" one was from Shelly S. ---seven MONTHS ago. Next recent was eleven MONTHS ago. It's good to know historical evidence, but Yelp! should create an algorithm to bunch together the old reviews, and then see if a business improved or not over time. Go there and hopefully you are witness to the two young ladies who are textbook examples of not only customer service, but more importantly, the Aloha Spirit. And before u think, "Oh, this guy writing about a couple Kānaka - part Hawaiians!" Nope, not one drop of Hawaiian blood in either of them. First there's Willow, from Armenia. So bubbly with personality, that the regular Sbux drinks taste extra special because of her killer smile and ehu (reddish) locks of curly hair. Then her partner, and fellow Agent of Aloha, Victoria. Smaller in stature to Willow, but her passion of brightening people's days with the simple act of using their name is priceless. Sure, it's printed on the label on my Grand Carmel Macchiato. But how many Java slingers in any Starbucks use it, and say it as if she was a friend? :) Whomever trained these two fine examples of women, please keep up the great work. DO NOT GET COFFEEE HERE. I went on 11/5 at 10:04am ordered my matcha as I usually do. I was extremely nice as I always am. I ALWAYS thank them and say "may I" when asking for an item or adding to order. I got to the window and couldnt figure out why the barista was laughing, holding onto my drink and at first, I didn't look at it, but then as I'm sitting at the stoplight, I realize that they had drawn a monkey on my cup. I came to this Starbucks August 5 around 7:40 and this had to be the worst starbucks I have went to the workers are extremely disrespectful when you enter they look as if they don't wanna serve you and they told us to grab our drinks and go and catch an attitude really quick and I just gave them the benefit of the doubt and left it and didn't even respond in the same attitude as they were giving me but they gave us our drink which was a caramel ribbon crunch and it tasted awful it was so watery and the whip cream just tasted awful there was not one bit of crunch in the drink I will not be coming back to this place very rude and awful and they really need to check there attitude I really have to say it would have been better if I didn't even get service from them and went home I spent my money on nothing basically. This Starbucks turned my day around!! Typically if you're not having the best day you go and get a coffee to help you feel better, and it's usually the coffee that makes you feel better, and while my coffee was made perfectly (and I'm pretty picky), this time it was the people that turned my bad day around. One girl was especially kind but EVERY SINGLE employee acknowledged me and was kind, which is something that many places, not just Starbucks, is lacking today. They had no idea I was having a bad day and just gave great customer service and in doing so, shifted my day. So I highly recommend this Starbucks. Not only is it a beautiful store, it's very spacious and great seating, but the staff is like a family and they treat you like family!! read more

For a green circle coffee shop, there were some really fun people working here. I asked the girl behind the counter to surprise me with a coffee. I think I confused her for a moment, but it was worth it in the end. The store was socially distanced, mostly clean (tables could use a refinish) and the crew was super friendly. They even delivered my food to me at my table. This store has a drive thru, you can order ahead, or just order as you arrive. They are super fast, super accurate, and have a great atmosphere for relaxing. read more

The location is awful just due to the busy intersection it sits on and not well set up for their drive thru situation. They need some traffic routing done to their parking lot. When it was pretty new, remember I loved coming only to this Starbucks because the baristas knew how to make their coffees w/ your xtra needs. Till recently, the coffees don't taste as great as what I would pay for. It's like a "good bartender" who makes it taste right. Anyways, I didn't come back on here to update a review about how the drinks had definitely gone down for me.... The day before yesterday, Feb 5. On an evening, brother offered to pick up some coffee. I usually wouldn't bother because we all know that morning majority baristas makes it better. I killed my iced coffee and at the end; a plastic surprise of a cap. Okay good thing my brother changed my order into an iced instead of hot. Because maybe it would of melted! Killer. I'm not going to be unreasonable and go back to complain. Horrible horrible horrible service. I have given this location MULTIPLE chances. I've gone through the drive thru, used mobile order and walked in. My mobile order went 7 minutes before the cup wasn't even placed on the counter to be made. I watched a young woman barista talk about her entire upcoming 19th birthday trip to California with her boyfriend , watched a manager converse with customers in the lobby and multiple workers catering the drive thru all the while I stand there. The barista even made a comment about "you've been standing awhile" like really .... stop talking and do your job. I will no return to this location. read more

Well, you know not all Starbucks are the best this one. They really need to fix the drive-through situation put signs out there or something to let people know you will have to zipper merge or make it one way people get too mad in line and you guys don't have to deal with it I have the anxiousness, is somebody rude behind you because they don't understand a zipper merge other than that everybody here other is cool that works here and it's your average Starbucks coffee. You know it's good. Sometimes they're nitros be out too often or out of product too often in certain people and the drive-through's are a little too chatty when the lines are very long, I get great customer service. I love that but you also gotta be quick with it. I can't be looking at pictures in somebody's phone and hanging out with them at the drive-through and it has two busy intersections on both sides of it go support them, but people in the drive-through. Need to have some patience, and respect for others in the drive-through. read more

we came through on saturday and the kid at the window sneezed in his hand then waited for our drinks and handed them to us without washing his hands. came through Easter Sunday the next day and a different kid was in the drive through with his foot on the window counter wiping off his shoes with napkins and then wipes his hands on his dirty apron and handed us the wrong food and drinks. this place is gross and doesn't follow/enforce safe food handling conditions. read more

Very clean Starbucks. The only complaint I have is how long I had to wait in the lobby for a drink.

I come here at least 4-5 times a week and at least 4 of those times I always get served a tall drink in a grande cup. I even say no foam just to not let that be the problem but I still end up with a little over half a cup. These drinks aren't cheap, so if I'm paying for a grande or a venti that is exactly what I should get. It's takes a lot for me to even write a review but getting half a cup three times in a row is just bad. read more

Stopped by yesterday to try the new Smores Frap. It was actually really good, and they changed it to how I wanted it without mistakes. They lost a star because of the wait time. This place is new, and in such a highly trafficked area, that the drivethru wraps completely around the building. The inside is so big that if they get busy inside, the wait time for a drink could be upwards of half and hour. Even with all of their staff (it's packed back there), I can't see it getting any smoother any time soon. read more

Passing through on the way to a nearby doctor's appointment, I caught I quick bite to eat here. Like most SB's in the AM, there was a long line of cars queuing in the drive-through, and I decided to try my luck by parking and ordering from the counter. The service was quick and efficient, with a bit of a hiccup processing my flaky SB rewards card. In a few minutes, my name was called over the hum of AM diners, and I took a place at the bar-like counter away from the snaking lines. This seems to be a spot for HS-ers on their way to class, and I can imagine the line swells around :20 - :30 before the bell rings. Maybe best to avoid this time, if you're in a rush. I have tried this Starbucks about a dozen times over the past year. But...am just disappointed with the service. I would go inside to order because the drive through lines is crazy long. Going in and ordering you would think they could get the order right, but no. How hard is it to screw up a tall soy mocha? And I have to ask for my food. This Starbucks seems pretty new to me cause I think it opened up about a year or two ago?! But so a few weeks ago I told them to re-make a drink which was the Green Tea Frappuccino cause it wasn't tasting right and they were able to re-made it. But I still felt like they didn't make it right so I talked to them and they said they could either give me a refund or re-make ANOTHER drink for me, I told them I'll just get the refund and i'll get the drink at a different Starbucks. This store was brand new, so right away I noticed how modern it was. There is TONS of seating too. Like... An absurd amount. Perfect for anybody who wants to come study or catch up with friends! However, it took the baristas like ten minutes to make our two drinks. How hard is it to make an iced coffee and a cool lime refresher? I'll give you a hint... It's not hard. Also, it was hard not to notice how dirty the lobby was. Almost every single table had crumbs/sticky spots, there were napkins littering the floor, and both garbage cans at the condiment bar were full to the brim. I remember driving by this Starbucks and remembering it's size so I had to try it out. This Starbucks is huge! I have never been to a Starbucks with this much square footage. It's pretty much the size of a standard fast food restaurant. This a great Starbucks to lounge at just due to how spacious it is. There are also many seats that come equipped with electrical outlets. I'm not a regular in this Starbucks location but I am a regular at other ones. These are what I normally rate Starbucks for: 1) customer service 2) my order (taste) 3) cleanliness 4) expediting This is my first time in this place and the barista was informing my hubby that it's only been open for about 8 weeks (?) or approximately. Anyway, our experience here was good. Service was nice, the baristas handled all the orders accordingly with speed and enthusiasm, hubby orders frap I got my routine of green tea latte (with specifics). We both got our drinks on time & the place had ample seats & of course that free wifi which is what we all go for (let's all admit that), anyway we didn't have time to stay long. I just wanted to see this place as it was on our way to get those beignets (that's another review) This is a huge Starbucks and plenty of space and seating. It was clean but it was a little slow, maybe because it was lunch time. Perhaps I missed the morning rush. I don't know how this place gets during peak hours but I'm only rating it based on how my experience was which was around noon. There's a drive through and plenty of parking but we didn't try the drive through & I'm sure like most Starbucks this place probably gets long lines during the peak hours. read more

(Reposting this review - realized I reviewed the wrong location on 148th the first time. That'll teach me to not check in!) 3.5-ish stars on the Starbucks scale - not the greatest, but fine. We stopped in this Starbucks mostly to use the bathroom, but also bought a chocolate chip cookie. The music was louder than it usually is in a Starbucks and it was louder than I would prefer. I said that the cookie didn't need to be warmed (I don't really like it when the chips are melting) but they warmed it up anyway. They seemed to be a bit frazzled, partially because their coffee grinder was broken. There's a drive-thru here and the line was long when we came in and long when we left. One thing I liked about this Starbucks was that it had comfortable green velvet armchairs. I sat in the chair for a few minutes and did not want to get up! I also liked that the bathroom had 2 stalls and wasn't just a one-room deal. I'm used to Starbucks in Seattle proper having separate garbage/recycling/compost bins but I didn't see that in this one. I am a fan of Starbucks, always have been. In the past month I have tried to order my daughter a "White hot chocolate " and both times were not made correctly. When I order this I emphasize White hot chocolate but they make it as a regular hot chocolate with some white chocolate. It's suppose to be like a white mocha without the coffee. I have tried to explain this as well but it adds more confusion so I don't know what to do other than go somewhere else. read more

This is a great location. Formerly a skippers I'm glad they turned it into something nice. It's got big comfy chairs and friendly workers. There's plenty of space albeit no fireplace. Patrons here are generally nice but you do get the occasional loud mouth. Plenty of gifts and goodies to choose from and great fast service. This is a safe place to go and it is not overrun by drugs or beggars. They keep the restroom locked but if you ask even without buying something it will be open . I love coming here when I have to take my car in for service because it's a short walk. The drive thru is a little wonky but that's expected. This is one of the better Starbucks locations in my opinion. read more

My mom and I came here this morning through the drive thru and it was like most times we come, besides the fact that no one was in front of us or behind us! My mom always gets a tall drip with a "splash" of cream (literally just coffee and creamer) and I normally get a tall chai tea latte (cinnamon taste), but today I ordered a tall white chocolate mocha frappucino (super good by the way). The person who took our order was really friendly, greeted us at the window and went on to ask us about our plans for the day; which it was to literally do nothing. I believe his name was Sulay. I didn't have my glasses on (sitting in the passenger seat didn't make it any better) so that's what I could make out on his name tag. Also my mom said at the time that she was sure that's what it said as well. The line gets pretty busy in the morning, but it goes by fairly quickly. We've been inside before and it's always clean and pretty much your modern sit down coffee place. It gets pretty loud sometimes depending on what time you go in. The bathrooms are always clean as well and the people inside at the register are always friendly too. We've normally always had males, so for them to be outgoing in customer service, Starbucks literally picks them out better than your local retail stores. First off, it's Starbucks, it's a massive chain like McDonald's so I normally don't expect anything. Yes, I'm sure there are people out there who work for s'bucks who have a passion for coffee, but at this location, I don't believe it's anyone behind that counter... I was so excited for a Starbucks to be opened within blocks from my house/I could go to on my way to work, and I WANT to love this place. Every time I go there on the other hand, it's like I have to tell them how to do their job. Being a former barista, I know how to make coffee and I can taste a mistake. I also understand that s'bucks has a signature of their shots sitting on the machine for X amount of seconds for taste. ANYWAYS, I tell the person I'm ordering from EXACTLY how many shots/pumps/no whip and size I want, every time. So when I receive my drink I expect it to be made how I say, since I'm literally telling them what to do. My problem is, when I get my drink, it is ALWAYS wrong. Every other time it has wrong syrup or sauce when I ask for two pumps of caramel syrup, or none at all (even though I paid for the extra flavor). Or whip when I say no whip. It's like they are just randomly pumping things into the cup, or straight up forgetting what I just asked for. The other problem is they are really, really slow. Another reason I don't think the people at the counter give a crap, by the time I'm getting my drink, I'm rushing to work and halfway there realizing it tastes like garbage but can't turn around. Plus after waiting ten minutes for my drink I don't want to waste anymore of my day. Leaving my house 20 minutes EARLIER THAN I NORMALLY DO just to get coffee is now part of my normal routine. If someone is paying close to $7 a day for a coffee, you should learn how to make it correctly. For some people (aka me) having their coffee is the one part of their day they look forward to, so messing that up is just a set up for a bad day. I will try and continue to go here because it's on my way to work, but it just sucks going into the whole thing knowing that its going to turn out horrible and I get sick of drinking my coffee halfway through it and more than half the time throw it out. *lights dollar bills on fire. read more
