I follow Pufftown on Instagram and this was the only place that carried their items. I had this past Friday off and decided to go downtown early before meeting up with my sister to shop. If you don't work in the building it's probably not the easiest place to find but was definitely worth the visit. Luckily Pufftown gave great directions on an IG post. Entering the building from where the Corina signs are you go up two sets of escalators, go pass the elevators and it will be on the other. The baker called it a hidden gem, I'd agree. Aesthetically very pleasing. Tables and other sittings area great ton meet a friend or someone for a quick meeting. Staff was friendly and proficient. Think there were two when I arrived around 8am or so. I was going to have the Ginger Cardmom latte but they were out of the house-made syrup that morning. So I had a almond milk latte. Of course I had to get some bakes of the vendor I came for. I had a Chorizo Tomato Croissant there they asked if I wanted it heated which was nice it stayed flaky and was as good as it sounds. I also bought one of the blackberry cruffin to go for my sister. For being a day that hit high 70s the morning was a little chilly so I had my latte hot. Which hit the spot. Me table gave me a great view of people coming and going most of their customers seem to be regulars and getting their orders to go. Nice display case as you walk up, they have Rubenstein Bagels, a handful of pastries, savory breakfast items, some grab & go items as well, all looks good. Recently I only decided to get a triple latte and didn't buy any food but maybe one morning I may get something. Coffee was just ok, not super flavorful or bold or robust, temperature wasn't super hot so overall it was just an ok triple latte for me. Staff was normal, I ordered, paid, made my drink, handed it to me, later gator! Prices are pretty high, so check your couch for extra coins. Plenty of seating and work areas as the seating is part of the Union Square building. We'll see, I may come back.

But despite his breadth of wisdom he seems to have zero ego around it and is just happy to share in the love of it all with any who happen to stop by his spot. Just be careful because it's way too easy to sit and chat the day away with him before you know it. You want to come here for his special "diamond brew" coffee. This is a special brewing method he created where he's brewing the coffee at high pressure and around 250 degrees farenheit to produce a velvety smooth and impossibly full-bodied extraction of each and every type of coffee he throws at it. He offers the full spectrum of coffee profiles, from the classic dark and roasty to the tart and fruity light roasts many have come to know and love. I highly recommend getting the diamond brew flight to sample his full offerings and experience (4 offerings in my case) what might be the greatest coffee of your life. The 4 offerings were all dynamic in origin, from both the regions the beans were from and the roasters who made them, but all were a master class in curation from bean-to-brew. I've truly never experienced coffee that could be so clear, velvety smooth, and full-bodied in its extraction in the way these diamond brews are.
