Good spot! Found it while in SLU. I thought the outdoor seating and adjacent Amazon store was so fun to walk through. The coffee was really good!! The only reason I'm giving 4 stars was bc I spent $7 on a 12 oz and that seems kind of pricey to me but the coffee was really strong I didn't need to go in for anything bigger. The baristas were nice. The vibe was kind of techy people and students and was chill!! Would come again if I'm nearby!

I'm pretty sure that if Seattle had an award for its most quintessential coffee shop, Cascade Coffee Works would be in the running. With its location inside a remodeled historic brick building in the heart of Amazonia, a wonderful selection of various coffee drinks and interesting iced coffees, everyone witting with their laptops, and general laid back vibe I could easily see this place being part of a coffee table book about, well, coffee shops! I met up with a friend/co-worker there on a recent weekday morning, and we plugged in to their (nice and strong) wi-fi to get some co-working done while we enjoyed our drinks. I had a very interesting iced coffee mixed with their house-made cherry cola. It was pretty good, coulda been a little sweeter but I guess that's what the sugar bar is for! The service was friendly, though the staff was a little harried. I overheard one of them mention that, before the recent re-opening of the Amazon campus, their business had been way down and that they were struggling to catch up as they were getting 10x the number of coffee orders now! I'm sure, as they're able to hire more staff, things will pick up and I don't fault them a bit for this. In fact, I see it as great news not just for the shop, but for the neighborhood and downtown in general. (I'm sure some Amazon employees would disagree with me though!) Right now, there's some very loud construction going on outside the building which did make conversation difficult. I suggest ear buds if you visit. Would love to grab some of their super cool swag on my next visit!

LOVED the pumpkin pie latte! It seriously tasted like a pumpkin pie and it was so delicious. I recommend trying it as a hot latte for sure! The barista made the hot latte at the perfect drinking temperature. The drink was the right amount of sweetness/syrup, and the foam was soft and creamy with beautiful latte art. There are big windows, so the inside of the shop is lit with a ton of natural sunlight. There is a decent amount of seating, so this would be a nice place to get some work done or just relax.

Quaint & Cozy cafe. Cozy couches to sit on but they could use some leather conditioner balm rubbed them. Leather getting scratchy and crackly feeling. Love this part of town. Good parking along the street. This location not too crowded usually. Just me with coffee today and a sprinkling of laptop students. Peaceful music, enjoyable atmosphere. A lovely selection of flavored lattes for $6.50 and the flaky pastries look good too.

Got the Rosella tea. This had a hint of hibiscus and honey and was bit fruity. Make sure to mix it up nicely before drinking. It's a nice fruity summer drink.

    Iced vanilla latte

Iced vanilla latte might as well have been a glass of milk. If a 12oz coffee is going to be almost $8 it should probably taste like coffee.

A bright, airy coffee spot in SLU -- met a friend here for coffee and am officially OBSESSED. They have tons of seating indoors and also a big garage door which opens into an outdoor patio. There's a ton of natural light and it seems great as a spot to bring some work or a book. The baristas are very sweet and helpful. I got a chai latte and it was great -- they also had samples of their pastries and the coffee cake was SO. GOOD. I'm definitely coming back here!

Cute little spot near our hotel. Had a nitro cold brew. It was pretty good. Smooth and strong as coffee should be. The croissant was yummy! Cute mugs and goodies for sale. Coffee lovers would appreciate their merch. The service was wonderful. The gave me full reign over the HWC so I added as I pleaded and she asked to warm my croissant which I always appreciate those options. Eat it warm it's way better! Wished they had some SF syrup options but other than that it was perfect!

Love the vibe and coffee here! I ordered a latte and it was very smooth and rich. The setting of the coffee shop is like being in an industrial building but with plants around. Great place for working!

    12oz cold brew
    Lydia L.

Overpriced mediocre cold brew. 12oz cold brew for $3.75 (before tax) and any milk for +$1? That's ridiculous. Being in an Amazon building does not justify for that price.

Nice and quiet little coffee shop around the corner from our hotel. Tons of seating that is surprisingly clean, the leather couches don't feel disgusting to sit on . My oat milk vanilla latte is beautifully crafted and the employees are pretty great making sure to ask how you spell your name, measuring out the weight of the espresso in each coffee, and chatting joyfully about Top Gun and Who Wants to be a Millionaire!

They clearly care about their image as they offer a free mug for first-time customers with an email sign-up. The drinks here are ok, but they average between $8-$10 each. I think the pricing is just much too high. You're paying for the vibes, not for a great cup of coffee. The matcha we tried was mediocre. There are so many other great places for coffee in Seattle, for just a fraction of the price. I think Storyville is preying on tourists visiting the market. They probably have to charge that much to keep the 8 employees milling about behind the counter employed. The space does have lots of seating, but it was nearly full during our early afternoon visit. Save your money, find another great local coffee spot!

This was on a Sunday afternoon close to 5pm, and there were still so many people occupying nearly every seat inside. I did come back to try their matcha matcha drink only to find it gone from their current menu as of May 2026. Instead, their turon matcha immediately caught my eye, as it has banana and I've been obsessed with banana-flavored toppings and puree on my matcha lately. It has matcha and house banana puree, both of which work well together. The tiny layer of house banana puree has all the flavor, especially when you mix the whole drink together. Very refreshing, and their ceremonial matcha's grassy tones still came out despite the banana puree being just as strong in the drink. Their matcha here comes pretty close to making it to the highest spots on my list of my most favorite matcha places in Seattle. Even if it isn't on the top of that list, their drinks are still 5+ star quality.

The shop is located in the U.S. Bank building and has a steady flow of people coming in and out. I ordered a 12-ounce latte. The coffee itself was good, smooth, and made exactly how I'd want a morning latte. My only complaint is the price. By the time I added a tip, I was a little over eight bucks into a fairly standard drink. That's probably the reality of downtown coffee these days, but it still made me pause for a second. What I liked most was the location. There's something nice about sitting with a coffee and watching downtown wake up around you. Between the people heading to work, the foot traffic outside, and the overall atmosphere, it felt like a great spot to start the day. Would I go back? Absolutely. The coffee was good, the service was quick, and despite the price, I enjoyed the experience enough that I'd stop in again the next time I'm nearby.
