Mocha frapp!!! It is way better than Starbucks!!!
    Roger P.

Hole in the wall type of place for sure!!! Mocha frapp is frothy but not icy. No chunks of ice left in the coffee. Flavor is extra good. You taste real coffee in there and it's not super sweet like other places. Just the right blend and combination! Barrista was very friendly and helpful in our decision. My friend tried their peanut butter mocha frapp and it was amazing too! The peanut butter flavor was just perfect. The coffee was there and nothing was over compensating. Just right. Their chai frapp was also excellent too. So far, they are 3 for 3 on their drinks... Gotta definitely recommend this place! In my book, they are a straight 5 out of 5 star. No need to talk about the location.... Definite hole in the wall place! It's small and remote but you can't miss it. It's light blue with a yellow roof. Nice service. But the drinks makes up for any little flaws that you may find... Not that I've seen any. Come and try it, you won't regret a second of it!!! Cheers!

I wasn't satisfied with any of the local coffee shops in my area until I found Wakey-wakey. The coffee is great and the prices are super reasonable. Our last snow day, I pulled in and they were open and serving. Great customer service.

Peanut butter mocha frapp = BOMB!!

You will need to find street parking but it's not too difficult. The name gives you the clue - it's "classic" in a retro, elevated biker bar way (there is a bar in the front and there was a biker out front as well so I'm sticking with this description). On the walls are "classics" like Harley Davidson and Elvis Presley. Among the other things that we did not know (which was everything) - it's New Orleans Cajun-based food. There are some non-New Orleans Cajun items on the menu - traditional breakfast French Toast and such - however, many of the items, from the omelets to the chicken ARE with a very tasty and not-too-spicy Cajun flavor or sauce. My husband had the omelet that featured andouille sausage and was very glad he did. I tried the Cajun chicken tenders (?) that came LOADED, on top of delicious homestyle biscuits, and next to a pile of cheesy potatoes. Service was perfect. Very friendly from walking in the door to walking out the door. Very diverse clientele so you can rest assured you will like it here. Could not have had a better Easter brunch experience unless the Easter Bunny itself was there.

I was born and raised in Georgia so maybe that's why the taste is so bland. The meatloaf just tasted burnt and like they dumped half the container of pepper in it. The Mac N cheese was decent. They do give generous portion sizes. My son's shrimp Po boy was decent. The lettuse was not limp or wilted. My daughter's bidcuits and gravy looked flavorful but I've had jar gravy that had more flavor. The biscuits were moist. The hash brown were not crispy at all just soggy. I sent the meatloaf back requesting that it be removed from my bill. I took one small fork full to taste it. My daughters captain platter has a burnt flavor as well according to her. I did not try hers. If you want food that is bursting with flavor like true southern food, go somewhere else. But if all you care about is polite service and generous portions then this is the place for you.

We were very confused lol I'm hoping it was a fluke because everything about this place is great . Especially the people who run it. So we will be back and hopefully the food will be seasoned because thats literally the only negative i have to say.

She was helpful and giving us recommendations. The place itself is nicely decorated and clean. It was not busy when we got there, but when we left, the seating area was filling up. A nice detail is that they have coat hanger/purse hanger at each table. The food! I'm a chilaquiles fan and these were delicious! Chips were not soggy but crunchy and not shy on the sauce- I am a sauce girl so this made my tummy happy. The bottled juices were different, but actually liked it! The horchata drink was not too sweet and nice that i was able to take it with me when I couldn't finish. My friend thought the burrito was good. The coffee, was delicious- did not need any added sugar or milk as it is brewed a special way. Will come back again

I'll never understand why food is so overpriced here in WA. Perhaps because they know people will still pay for it. SMH. The staff were nice and I appreciated the complementary bunuelos while we waited for our food. They also checked in on us mid meal, that was nice. However the food did not stand out at all. We wanted to like this place, we really did. We were hoping to finally finding a piece of home, sadly we were disappointed. The chilaquiles divorciados everyone raved about were mushy and drenched in chile. The red chile tasted like a canned chile and the green was overbearing and too spicy. The cafe de olla had a strange taste to it, definitely not like the cafes back home. I assume it was either Anise or Cloves. Either way the taste was strong and it instantly lost us then. Lastly their "bottled" Horchata (this bothered me so much. Any true athletic Mexican restaurant should not be bothered with gentrification and "bottling" their drinks. Terrible and a slap in the face!) the cinnamon was again overbearing. Let's just say even my children didn't like it. It's hard to mess up Horchata, in this case the store bought stuff would have tasted better. At $6+ a bottle, HUGE miss for us. I'd have to say the best part was probably their chorizo burritos. The chorizo was interesting looking, I've never seen anything like it. The consistency of the meat resembled carbs asada and threw us for a loop when we saw it. Nevertheless that and their green salsa on the side, were the best part of the experience. We may give this place another try, but it would be for their burritos and salsa only!
