On a hot, sunny day around 2:50pm on Friday I decided to make the drive here after suddenly remembering one of my foodie friends had this place several times during other weekends. I actually had to park behind the building then look at other Yelp reviews to find out that there is parking on gravel near their dumpsters closest to LaShaun Daye Hair. Though I don't know if the parking lot where this building and E Marginal Way meet can also be used...street parking in this area was scarce, contrary to most Yelp reviews I've read. Anyway, I came to an empty but very chill interior with several tables and window seating, along with some semi-quiet VPop playing near the front counter to the right-hand side of the entrance. There's a small flower display along with the cafe logo a little to the back which is perfect to take photo ops with your drink and food like I did. The menu is above the front counter and - as their logo says - they specialize in banh mi and coffee, though they have some matcha and soup options among others. Staff at the front were very quick at making my coffee as I was the only one inside. I got their 16oz egg coffee, which is one of their best sellers according to the asterisk on their menu next to the name of the drink. Very strong phin-dripped Vietnamese coffee along with condensed milk and an egg foam that gave a sweet, creamy taste to the already bitter coffee at the bottom. Drinking the egg foam first, it's a nice, thick custard-like format that the coffee does not overtake, which is good since other places I've had don't have that kind of balance. My next trip back here will have to be for another one of their coffee drinks and their banh mi sandwiches as well. I can already hear my friend telling me to get one right now as I'm writing this up! read more

I've been wanting to try this place since I first heard of it GETTING THERE: It seems tucked away in Tukwila, but it's actually extremely easy to get to and not to far off the exit from Hwy 599 coming from South Center. It's maybe about 2-3 min off the Interurban Ave exit. After a couple left turns, it's right on the corner of a 4-way stop. You can't miss it. PARKING: The place isn't very big but there is plenty of street parking available. There's also a small lot by the convenience store nearby. AMBIANCE: It's a very small place with Vietnamese decor and an aquarium. It was giving vibes of the sunroom at my aunt's house Vietnamese music playing in the background haha. There are limited seats if you choose to sit and enjoy your coffee. They have a couple tables on the side, or you can sit on the stools along the window. I think the place felt a little empty. It could use a couple more tables and chairs along the window instead of the stools. This layout kind of felt like a Baskin Robbins or a small local ice cream shop. SERVICE: I didn't see anyone at first when I walked in, but there was someone to ready to take my order by the time I got to the counter. She took my order then I took a seat at the table until she called me to grab me from my order. Not much else for service. FOOD: I mainly went here for the coffee, but I figured I should try the sandwich while I was there. I ordered the bánh mì đặc biệt (house special sandwich) and the cà phê trứng (egg coffee). The sandwich to me was alright at best. The flavors were unbalanced. I mostly tasted the chả over the other cuts and the meat was pretty cold. I get that it's called a "cold cut" for a reason, but it was really cold and kind of threw off the sandwich. The bread would've been better toasted, or at least have the option to toast it. The one thing I enjoyed was the amount of pate used. The coffee on the other hand was decent. I've been in search of more places that serve egg coffee and I usually get it every chance I get. I found it a bit weird that it comes iced. I usually get an option to choose if I want it hot or cold. It didn't specify on the menu and I was never asked. So I just assumed it was not iced because the only thing that was iced was the cà phê sữa đá. Well I was wrong... The egg part was super thick, fluffy, and creamy. It was the right amount of sweetness and saltiness too. Honestly it might be the best egg cream I've had on a coffee, but it would have been much better if the coffee was warm. I just think egg coffee should be served hot. It's a personal preference. The ice keeps the egg cream on top and I can't really mix the whole thing evenly. I would've enjoyed it more if every sip was a even mixture of egg cream and coffee. OVERALL: At the end of the day, I enjoyed this place. There are a couple small improvements that would've changed my experience. I did enjoy the coffee and that's what I originally came for. The sandwich honestly wasn't bad, but I think I would try the thịt nướng next time. Some places just do one or the other better. I think it's harder the get the cold cut sandwich right vs the grilled pork. Overall it's a nice little meet up spot and I would come back again just for the egg coffee. read more

When they first opened the coffee was kinda lackin but recently I tried it again and the Vietnamese coffee hits every time strong, smooth, and exactly what I need. Had my eye on this place for awhile and I was delightfully pleased. My best friend, who was visiting from out of state, and I grew up in the same town. The way we both looked at each other as we took our first bite of the char siu banh mi. It reminded us of the hole in the wall place we grew up on. Bread so soft and toasty, with the sweet pork, generous amount of mayo and pickled veggies (the only way to go lol). Came here on a Saturday morning to grab some coffee an banh mi to take onto our flight! They were pretty busy but we got our drinks and sandwiches very quickly. They were doing a Valentines Day special so I tried their rose berry cloud tea drink, and my partner had the coconut latte. Both drinks were delicious! The coconut latte packed a ton of coconut flavor, and the rose berry cloud was the perfect mix of tea and fruity flavors. The banh mi were also delicious! I would like to start off with saying, there are plenty of free 2 hour free parking along the street, thank god. Upon entering, you're greeted by the friendly staff. There are a few table with seatings so you can work on things while sipping a cup of coffee or matcha. There are also food items available! I ordered the matcha with foam on top and also the strawberry matcha another time. First off, the matcha isnt the same taste found at Taz, Phe, Yoka, etc. It is more of the taste found at Vietnamese cafes, a lighter creamier matcha, which I do not really prefer. It was decent though! I suggest to ask for extra matcha maybe. As for the strawberry matcha, I wouldn't recommend. It ruined my drink, as the strawberry wasn't fresh purée, so it tasted really artificial. I was disappointed. I also had their banh mi đặc biệt. It was good! All in all, maybe their coffee related drinks are better but if you want to order matcha, avoid the flavored syrups and just order the matcha and ask for extra matcha :) read more

This place is a hidden gem. It's a wonderful neighborhood coffee and banh mi spot. There isn't a lot of street parking in front, but it definitely is worth the effort to look for parking! The service was friendly and a willingness to accommodate any concerns. One customer asked about the amount of caffeine in the Vietnamese coffee, and while the people working there weren't sure, they offered suggestions. Perhaps more milk, or half a serving of coffee. I thought that was gracious and conscientious. My coffee was amazing. My friend and I ended up getting the same thing. Cà Phê Muõi (Salted Coffee) and the Bánh Mì Thįt Núóng (Grilled Pork). The Salted Coffee was amazing. Usually when there's a foam on top, when you drink you only taste foam. This one your sip starts with the luxurious, silky, saltiness of the foam and as you tilt your cup you get the luscious, smooth richness of the coffee. I couldn't wait to enjoy another sip. The Banh Mi was crunchy, savory, tangy deliciousness. The crunchy outside of the baguettes with a soft inside. The tangy carrot and daikon. The crunch of the jalapeño and cucumber. Wrapping up a visit and wanted to grab something before the airport drop. I do enjoy Vietnamese coffee and they offer Bahn Mi no brainer!! The shop is little off, the beaten track, located on the corner in the neighborhood. The interior is bright and clean and very comfortable. This hidden gem nearby the Sea-Tac Airport is small but mighty. Even from the outside you can smell the savory broth or maybe it's the banh mi -- either way it smells delicious just walking up. The ambiance is so quant and absolutely adorable. We came by on a lovely spring day, so they had their windows open and it was so nice to sit an enjoy some coffee. We got their coffee flight which included one of each of their vietnamese drip coffees. The coffee here is a really strong flavor that balances out with salty and sweet accents. The egg cream is one of the more unique coffees I've ever tried but it did add a very nice thick yet fluffy texture on top. I was a big fan of the salted cream coffee, loved the cold foam top and how the saltiness really amplified the taste of the coffee-- if I was to go back and order just one coffee this is what I'd get. If you're one for the classics, the traditional vietnamese coffee with condensed milk is very good but once again- with a very potent coffee base. Not for the weak hearted. I tried Drip & Sip when they initially opened, and they didn't have enough non-coffee options for us to come back regularly. (My boyfriend is an avid Vietnamese coffee fan but I don't drink coffee at all.) We recently came back and I was pleasantly surprised by additional non-coffee options. I have tried their iced peach tea and Matcha Einspanner. The iced peach tea tasted like it was sweetened using canned peach syrup, which I wasn't a fan of. At my most recent visit, I ordered the Matcha Einspanner with less sweetener. While the description touts use of ceremonial grade matcha, I found the matcha flavor to be light and dull. Based on these experiences, I would say the non-coffee drinks aren't the best. However, I'm glad that there is something for me to order when accompanying my boyfriend. He enjoys their Vietnamese coffee, and it's nice to have an option that's closer to us than Seattle. We also ordered their banh mi, which were excellent. They didn't skimp on the ingredients, the flavors were excellent, and the bread was crispy on the outside while remaining soft on the inside. Even though it's street parking only, we've never had an issue finding a spot, and it's free. I love that they have a reasonable amount of indoor and outdoor seating. Overall, I would recommend Drip & Sip for their coffee and banh mi, but they have room for improvement on their non-coffee drinks. read more

The cream top was tasty without being overbearing. I also appreciated how thick the cream was - I drank my coffee over the course of a few hours and the cream never melted. The actual coffee, however, could have been a little stronger. Vietnamese coffee usually punches me in the face (in a good way) and I didn't quite feel that with this one. We love going to drip and sip every time we land and fly out of SEA TAC! The coffee is amazing and strong, and not too sweet. We recently tried their banh mi, which I don't usually like but these were so good! The veggies weren't too pickled and it didn't feel heavy. The bahn mi here is one of the better ones I've had lately. Crispy bread, well marinated and tender lemongrass pork, and with a nice sauce. A vietnamese coffee is not as easy to come by as I'd expect so when I saw this spot nearby I had to have one. For a strong, delicious, quality coffee I would choose a vietnamese coffee over any other type of coffee. The caffeine kick is like no other and the bit of sweetness is just right. I tried the Bac Siu which is the vietnamese coffee option with more milk. Although it already has condensed milk, this coffee is strong and has a darker coffee taste so I like the milkier option. It was really good! I ordered a 16 oz but honestly I could probably do with the smaller one next time, I really like coffee but it's strong and the perfect treat in the smaller size. read more

Super solid, I got a delicious banh mi egg sandwich and a tea for $10, which I thought was extremely affordable (I paid $20 in the airport for a coffee and reheated gross egg sandwich the other day for comparison although it's not a fair one bc well, it's the airport). I saw a few of my old coworkers from my previous job posting on Instagram about visiting this Vietnamese cafe located in Tukwila and wanted to give it a try since they serve Cà Phê Trứng (egg coffee). In addition, we ordered a Cà Phê Muối (salted coffee) and Bánh Mì Thịt Nướng (grilled pork sandwich). Both drinks were good, but I think I do prefer the salted coffee. The flavor was stronger in that drink compared to the egg coffee. This area isn't busy and pretty suburban, but you need to street park in order to get to this cafe if you plan to sit down and stay awhile. The street parking is easy and free though. read more
