After reading a bunch of bad reviews about Trailers Plus, I decided to buy a trailer from Big Tex down the road. I bought a 12 foot trailer from Big Tex yesterday. I inquired about a trailer through their website but didn't get a response that day. However, they called me the next day and said they received an electronic message about me being interested in a trailer. I asked if they had one in stock and they said yes. I told them I'd be there in an hour to check it out. When I arrived, I told them my name and the trailer I was interested in. He said that had the guys pull out the trailer. The guy pretty much already had the paperwork out ready to go so the waiting time was minimal. I checked out the trailer, filled out the paperwork, they made sure the lights and everything were working, and I was on my way. It's a pretty nice trailer as far as utility trailers go. A couple upgraded things like the hitch and the spring loaded gate. They cost a little bit more than Trailers Plus but I think I avoided headaches in the long run. I towed my UTV in the trailer and it towed fine. No problems. I'm happy. read more

Was in fernley,Nv headed to Bay Area when I noticed one of my hubs was extremely hot to the touch. Called them up and spoke with Miguel.I needed bearings for my 25GN but he didn't have them in stock. He did give me part #'s and I found them at Napa. He knew how important I needed to get on the road so he got me right in. Dan the service guy immediately got to work on my trailer and went as far as to show and explain in detail what the problem was as he took apart the hub while I watched. There was no B.S. on buying extra parts,and he salvaged what was still good to help save me $$. I wish there were more honest people like these guys out there. Best place to find a trailer. Miguel was super professional, he told us exactly what we needed to hear to get us the right trailer for our business. We wanted to do a food truck and he knew EXACTLY what we were wanting and showed us almost every trailer on his lot. Melissa was super knowledgeable about anything we asked her, she showed us all the hitches and which one would best fit our needs. Well, this is an interesting review to leave. I didn't actually buy anything, but pretty sure cause they didn't want the business. We went and looked at a couple trailers and showed interest in one. I asked if the price listed was the actual price and Levi told me to call him back and he would get us a deal. We called back later and got his voicemail. I left a message stating who I was and the trailer we looked at and let's not mess around and just give us the actual lowest price and let's get a deal done. I got a voicemail the next day with Levi explaining how busy he is.. which is a personal pet peeve as I don't care how busy you are in your job.. it's your job! We are all busy in our jobs. Any way he proceeded to quote the same price that we left with. Which we clearly weren't buying at that price. So.. appreciate the waste of time, Levi. Zero stars for this business. I came in to look at dump trailers. Found a few that were of interest, and left to discuss with my business partners. I called them back not 30 minutes later, told them that I wanted it, and to put the tarp kit on it, I will pick up this afternoon or tomorrow morning. Donald said, ok, I asked if he needed a CC and he said no, just come in. He didn't take any of my info, just said come in and get it. I drove out there 70 minutes again the following morning right at 8 and he said I don't have good news for you, that trailer sold. I was so blown away, and just pissed. Oh you didn't come in and I have to sell them he said. So Pissed! Rude, unthoughtful salesman! Drove over to Utility Trailers Sales on 4th st and gave them my $6k, for a higher quality trailer. My husband and I have been needing a trailer for quite a while but really couldn't decide on what type and how it would be best utilized for our needs. We decided a landscape/utility dump trailer would be best. I have always appreciated the Quality Big Tex puts out. This was the 1st location we stopped at for our trailer shopping. Big thanks to Miguel and his crew. They made the whole purchase a breeze. I was in and out in less than an hour. No BS. Straight forward with pricing and had exactly the trailer I wanted. While Miguel and I took care of the paper work his guy got the trailer out washed it and changed my hitch ball. A couple of nice little added touches with a spring clip to secure the back gate handle and a carabiner for the emergency brake line. After quick run through of how the trailer operated I was headed home. Do your homework know exactly what you want. stop by the other guys just up the road just for comparison and I think you'll find big Tex to be the best deal with a superior product. My experience with BT Reno began in 2016. I was in the planning phase of starting my own transport company. If this is as far as you read, let me say that they have been critical in the huge success of Gold Anchor Transport Service (GAT)!! This is somewhat lengthy as I am going to give a full account of all the ways they have helped us be successful. If you are still reading, here is a few reasons why. 1) No pressure sales technique. Miguel was my salesman when I came in looking for a particular trailer (20AC51 model car hauler). I had my financing all set and spoke with Miguel about the model I was after. He didn't try to sell me up or down but focused right on my needs, answered questions and I felt very at ease with him right away. If you've spent more than 10 minutes at any dealership, you know the feeling of being circled and checked out from a distance like you were a baitfish being sized up by sharks. Not here. 2) Easy financing. I thought I had my financing all locked up but when it came time to sign, my lender had question after question and requested thing after thing which Miguel kept quietly providing with no complaint. After like 45 minutes of back and forth with my lender, Miguel suggested to me that something was wrong with this lender as he had never seen so many things required and just them being so generally difficult. He suggested I call one of there's and introduced me to Sheffield Financial. I was literally out of there with GATS first trailer in 10 minutes. My old lender was fired!! 3) After sale support. After a few loads getting used to my new trailer I discovered some things I didn't like and went back in to see if there was anything they could do. Again Miguel said yes I had several options. First of which was to ditch the gooseneck hitch and go with a king pin tube that allows you to connect to a fifth wheel hitch installed in your truck bed. Waaaay more secure and stable and should be the standard connection on that type trailer in my opinion. Also I had constant grinding on the tail end on certain surfaces which is the nature of the beast with that type trailer. Miguel said they could weld on skid wheels like you see on some motor homes to prevent bottom damage. I was honestly pissed at him for not telling me this up front but he said some guys don't mind the grinding and he didn't want me to think he was just trying to upsell me on some BS upgrade. RESPECT but in this case I wish he would have. 4) Service. They have a great service department which I use exclusively for my maintenance and repair issues. Since my initial purchase of the AC, I have since gone to them for my 22GN and tried to buy yet another trailer from them as my business has exploded. Unfortunately I have the heaviest model BT makes so I had to switch brands BUT I still take my non BT models to them and have never had to stop because a repair they did came undone. 5) Tech support. I had an electrical component on my NON BT MODEL trailer came apart, literally. I tried calling that manufacturer for help and was told I had to bring the trailer in to any of there facilities but I literally could not move the trailer for safety reasons. NO HELP. Basically I was told that unless I could figure out a way to get there I was SOL. I called BT in Reno from Texas which is where I was broke down. They had me simply text a picture of the damage and Lorren (the service guy at the time) said do this, this and that. I did what he said and was back on the road in 20 minutes. Never received a bill for the service call. 6) Referrals. BT Reno had to suspend their service department due to covid or corporate layoffs or who knows what but I do know that Miguel did not stop because of that. As a hard running business I still had needs and he was my go to guy now. I called saying I needed this or that and he simply said in his casual way that unfortunately they could not satisfy my need at this time BUT to call so and so and whatever place and that they could address my issue. Again, RESPECT. He never tried to cover anything up or hoard my business by scheduling me way in the future whenever their service department was back up and running. As a retired Navy Chief, we live by the code of no excuses. Don't come with problems, come with solutions. Miguel has solutions! Every place he referred me did exceptional work but I still give BT Reno first crack. Ron is on staff as the maintenance guy now and superbly took the torch from Lorren. I had another horrible issue come up and Miguel said come in. Ron had all my woes fixed in less than an hour. 7) Network. BT Reno was one of our first customers. He has asked me to go as far as Texas to pick up a trailer that a customer wanted and deliver it TO THEIR HOUSE in NorCal! If you want it, he can find it. Don't let the empty lot fool you! And Jesus. He handles all trailers I deliver with finesse and pride. Never so much as a knick with his forklift. Impressive! read more

We bought a Big Tex 35SA utility trailer last July. Within 4 months 2 patches of paint peeled off and there was a lot of rust on an angle between the ramp and trailer bed. Paint job is pathetic. One wire for a front running light broke also. otherwise a nice trailer. I wouldn't recommend the quality of the paint job though. read more

One of the worst businesses I have ever dealt with. We have spent a lot of money there as we have 3 big tex trailers. Great trailers, until they need repaired. Recently received my replacement part (after 15ish weeks) and it worked as well if not worse than the broken part I took off. Called Miguel, who I have dealt with multiple times, and always seems to be in a bad mood. It's as if any of my questions or concerns about spending literally thousands of dollars at his store is a huge waste of his time. Very confusing to me as he is a salesman and all. Anyway, I explained my problems with the part and he said, and I quote, "i'm not going to keep ordering the part, even if it keeps coming broke, I won't do it. It is what it is at this point." No joke, those words actually came out of his mouth. GREAT costumer service. Big tex lost our business today. We are in the market to replace all 3 of our trailers and they will not be getting a dime. read more

BEWARE! If you need repair service on a trailer go someplace else! We needed the overhead spring replaced on our business cargo trailer. It broke after more than 13 years of use. We were told the repair would take a week. Three weeks later we finally got our trailer back. Jeremy installed two smaller springs. We were charged $325.00 for springs that didn't even support the weight of the door and $212.00 for labor. Total w/ tax: $578.77 The springs looked like they were over-stressed when the ramp door was open, serpentining. The side cables would fall off the spools when the door was closed and the spring rattled like crazy when the trailer was in motion. All this was within 8 days of getting the trailer back. Then we noticed the cable was rubbing on the door frame, cutting the cable. I called Jeremy Friday about these problems and instead of agreeing to replace the springs, he told me all their trailer springs snake up and down like that. I said I'd be over and he could show me their trailer springs. In the mean time I called Thompson Garage Doors (no use spending good money after bad) who recommended an excellent trailer repair shop. They replaced the two small springs with one large spring like it was originally. This spring cost $35.00 and they had it done in 3 hours. I visited Big Tex today thinking I could return the two small springs and recover some of my money. Jeremy refused to return any money because he said I didn't give him a chance to fix it. Well as far as I'm concerned he had his chance the first time around. DO IT RIGHT THE FIRST TIME! And we couldn't afford to have our trailer out of commission again. When I asked to see his trailers springs he said he didn't have time to show me. I did get a peek at one trailer though and its spring was completely straight when the ramp door was open and under stress, not snaking up and down. The other trailer company said that the work done at Big Tex was shoddy. The only good thing I can say about Big Tex Trailer, they have a very courteous sales rep named Miguel. read more

On our way to Elk Camp and our luck took a turn for the worst. We were looking for a hero to save us as we were stranding on the side of I-80 with our 40' toy hauler needing a new hub. After limping off the side of the road, and striking out every parts house from Sacramento to Reno, we found Miguel on S. Virginia and our luck started turning. He was VERY helpful and when we called he went out grabbed the parts and measured to make sure they were the right ones. After having such a rough night, he listened to us vent and made sure we had all the parts we hadn't even thought of needing! He also had a HUGE inventory of trailers to drool over.
