Made an appointment online for 10am at Big O Tires in Greeley Colorado. Had a Big O coupon for a $19.95 oil change, which came as a pop up on screen from Big O as I was making the appointment. I Informed them upon entry of the coupon. After the job is done, they wanted to charge me $59.99 They then claim they don't accept the $19.95 coupon. Absolutely unacceptable, and a total bait and switch. The coupon was for 5 quarts. I had them put in 6 quarts, and I pre verified that each additional quart was $3.99 The guy ringing me up was rude, disrespectful and managed to get me angry enough to return the rudeness and disrespect. They are an unscrupulous business. I will tell everyone I know what a terrible experience I just had, and I will steer every single person I can away from this company. This is not how to do business. Please share this everywhere. Help inform everyone possible of the poor business model this location follows. read more

Talked in length (15 minutes) to 'John' on a Friday to set-up urgently needed tire replacement.... Shop was understandably busy, so rearranged my schedule to compromise and accommodate with an 'appointment' on Saturday.... Yeah.... You guessed it.... Saturday's 'Appointment' time was greeted by blank stares.... questions of 'Did you schedule this on-line?'....'Spell that name again.'.... 'What kind of tire?'..... Unfortunate I have to write such a review, but want to be sure I note my visit. I purchased tires at Sam's, one of my lug nuts would not come off. Cross threaded. Sam's told me to go to Big O to have it removed. No problem, drove over, Lee was helpful. He was unable to get off that day and asked I make an appointment for the next day so they'll have time to remove it, as it was more than just a wrench. Aggravated, but I get it, they were busy. I'm practical. I made an appointment for 8am the next day so I could get in early and get it done. Heavy snow fell, and Big O delayed opening from 8am until 9am. As a business Owner myself, I get it. However, to not call your 8am appointments and give them a heads up, is just straight up unprofessional. So I sat in my Jeep and waited until 9am. When they open, they guy who handled it, you could tell wasn't in the best mood. I sat in the waiting room for a lug nut to be taken off, which took them longer than putting on a set of 4 new tires for another client.. When I see my Jeep pull up out front, I immediately went outside to check. My rim is scratched up. I go back inside to pay, waiting for the guy to acknowledge, say it was part of the process, something. Nope. I finally said you scratched up my rim. He responds with, "Yep I saw it." Nothing, no apology, just basically a big F U that's part of getting the lug nut off. He then says he'll have the manager call me, who arrives in "I don't know.. maybe an hour." No call. Paid $100 to take off one lug nut. Think twice before going here, I definitely won't be back. read more

I took my truck in for an oil change and tire rotation as I do every 4-6 months. This was the second time I have used this location. The first time they forgot to put one of my stem caps back on the tire so I jus went and picked one up at Wal-Mart (no big deal). The second time I brought my truck in (1/12/2019) they either misplaced or forgot to reattach my rear passenger side hub cap. I got the vehicle home and realized this but by that time the shop had closed for the day. I returned the next morning and first they attempted to look for the hub cap for about 30 minutes. A guy finally said they couldn't find it and would just order me a new one. Said they should have it in within a week or so. I gave all my contact info and he said he would call me. Two weeks go by and no phone call. I call in to check up on this and they had no record of this and said nothing had been ordered. The same guy who I orginally spoke with got on the phone and said he would order me one but forgot to do so earlier. It has now been over a month and I have not heard anything. I called again and asked for the same salesman and they said they would have him call me. No one has called. I am frustrated because I have taken my truck to Big O tires for service and new tires for years and what was a small issue and an easy fix has now turned into me being completely ignored and unvalued as a customer. All I would like is a replacement hub cover to match the other three like I had when I dropped off the vehicle in their care. read more

Today while driving my daughter back to college we had a tire light come on. We had just replaced the tires in La Crescenta so it was concerning. We took the car to Big O Tire and asked if they could check the tires to see what the problem was. The guys here were on top of it, they figured out what tire had the problem, took it apart and reinstalled it. The service was great and we were back on the road. Do NOT send anyone to this scam shop!!!! They ripped off my 83 year old mom. She had a fender bender which wasn't bad. Got a quote from them to replace strut and the whole knuckle assembly. I called to ask if they needed that whole assembly and if they could just replace the bearing. The guy on the phone was waffling and trying to get me to spring for the more expensive repairs. I told them mom was on a fixed budget and what was the actual damages to. They wouldn't answer. They priced the work out at 880 for the strut and knuckle and 780 for just the strut and bearing. Labor charges were 2 hrs for the strut and 2 for the bearing. Way too much!!!! I told them to let me think about it over night before I made the call that I may just fix myself. Next morning call mom and the have it on the lift doing the bearing repairs. When I called to try to stop them they made excuses. I explained no work was authorized and they hung up. I called back and the manager said mom had authorized it. She had not, and I recorded the calls. They are taking advantage of seniors and literally started work unauthorized. Total scam shop!!!! Terrible. Put the wrong oil filter on, didn't even fill out my proper mileage correctly on the sticker, and totally rude when my car was finished. Pretty sure they tried to screw me over because I am a woman, experienced definite sexism here. If you're a woman, don't come here alone to get your oil changed. This place sucks!!!! I had made an appointment online and was called back by Big O to verify. I went in on the day and time if my appointment and they said an alignment and two tires? I said no an alignment and my tires I have already purchased put on. I then said I had a coupon for the alignment. Mr. Melendez very rudely ( I have never been treated like I was with him) said where is it. I said I had it on my phone. He said it had to be printed, I said oh I did it know. Constantly be very rude he said he would do it this time but never again! He then rudely said it was gonna cost me $35 for each tire to be put on, because I did it purchase them there. I went to this location tonight to get a tire repaired. The employee who was there asked how he could help. When I told him I need to repair a tire. He said "not tonight we are closed". No further comment. Like we open at this time tomorrow. Or I am sorry I can't help you tonight. Or is there an urgent need? "Not tonight we are closed". I messed my car up like an idiot and went to the pick n pull to get a new rim for my car. We got the wrong rim twice and they didn't even charge me for trying to put it on. They are so nice and friendly! They found out that my rim has a weird bolt pattern so i had to order it custom since the pick and pull didn't have that one. They gave me a discount because they accidentally forgot to put my tire on its rim. It was a pretty busy day and i was happy to save that money. They are so great! I will definitly come back if i have to but fingers crossed it is just an oil change! read more

I will NEVER return to any Big O Tire locations. I took my car in on March 15th for some regular maintenance on my car. Oil change, tires balanced and rotated, as well as an alignment. My car was in perfect working condition prior to my visit. Immediately upon leaving my car was not acting right. My steering kept jerking. It was a particularly windy day that day so I just thought oh it must be the wind and took it home. Today, March 19th, I was driving it to work and I was driving my car straight while the steering wheel was being held at a 25 degree angle. What? I literally just had an alignment done. Then my car jerks again and metal began grinding on metal. Luckily my work is just a mile from the shop so I immediately drove it right back to the shop and told them to take a look at it. I was told that my CV axle, lower front arm, and ball joint all needed to be replaced to the tune of $540. I find it extremely suspicious that my car was in perfect working order BEFORE I took it to them to be aligned and to have the tires balanced and rotated. I also find it extremely suspicious that the exact same thing happened to another google reviewer just six days before me! (I had not read that review until after I already took my car in...had I read it before I would have taken it elsewhere) I do not believe that this is a coincidence at all. I believe they messed up my car. I expressed my concerns with the owner who insists that this was not their fault. He offered for me to watch video surveillance of them working on my car in the shop as if that would ease my mind. Simply seeing someone work on my car doesn't show what we would need to see. He said that they "should have done a more thorough inspection" but that this is "just something that can happen and is in no way even related to getting tires balanced and rotated or getting an alignment." He said it's like "going to the doctor because you have a cold and them not knowing you have cancer." Insisted that they are "not related." I call BS on that. The CV axle, lower arm, and ball joint are all completely related to tires and alignment. They were perfectly fine before and if they weren't then it's something that should have been caught while the car was being worked on, especially less than a week after the same exact thing happened to someone else. I called their corporate office and all they did was take note of my concerns and refer me back to the owner. The owner refuses to take responsibility for this. He claims that these things can happen at any time and it was just a coincidence. I called several mechanics around town to get quotes on the repairs to see if I could find a more reasonable price. Every single mechanic I spoke to that inquired about my predicament thought the situation "doesn't sound right" and sounds "very fishy." They were all shocked to find out that I was not in a car accident and this happened out of nowhere immediately after getting maintenance on my car. One mechanic told me that they "must have left something loose." Another mechanic told me "for the steering wheel to be driving straight with it turned at a 25 degree angle AFTER getting it aligned tells me that either the tech or the machine used to align your vehicle messed up." Another mechanic told me that the CV axle, lower control arm, and ball joint failure after getting it aligned by them is "absolutely related." So after speaking with other highly rated local mechanics I am certain that this was either done intentionally or happened due to their negligence and incompetence. So what was originally regular maintenance on my car has now turned into hundreds of dollars in repairs. But you can bet your bottom dollar I took my business elsewhere. read more

They're just good. I'm not going to get into specifics but let's just say they went above and beyond. I asked for help from another place and they went on some tangent that resulted in making me buy expensive things that I didn't need. I show up to Big O and asked the same of them and BAM! Had my car up on rack and took care of it, I walked out spending less than $50. It gets busy here which is good for them so you kind of have to be smart about when you bring your car in. These guys are the worst. My wife had a low tire so I sent her there for help as I was out of town. She came home crying. They put air in her tire and looked at the nail that was showing and was told to go home and come back the next day as it was within 30 minutes of closing and he didn't want to leave late. He told her it probably wouldn't go flat overnight and would sell her a similar tire the next day if she had to drive on it flat and ruin the tire. In no way would I ever recommend this shop as they are too self absorbed and have no concern for female customers let alone anyone else. I would suggest M & O Tire if you are in the Greeley, CO area. I went to Big O Tires in Evans for a "free" tire rotation(as I have always bought my tires from Big O and have always been happy!). Upon putting my vehicle on the rack, a man came out and informed me that I needed a $500 brake job(and he was giving me a deal). I told him I would have to speak to my husband(a mechanic) so just do the rotation please. Soon after, my vehicle was ready and the man who suggested I get a brake job pulled my vehicle to the front door. Immediately after getting into my vehicle, I noticed the brake light on and the pedal went to the floor. Now, the man who just pulled it up for me didn't notice this?? Weird. Now I had NO BRAKES where as I did upon arrival and what a coincidence that I have NO BRAKES now! He claimed it was a pin hole in my brake line. I would have gladly gone elsewhere by now but couldn't leave because I had NO BRAKES! Now I can't prove anything but I will say that it is quite coincidental that I now had to pay $140 just to leave. I will also throw out that I was a lone woman and have to wonder if perhaps that had anything to do with this. Just saying. BEWARE! read more
