I am so sad that I will no longer be taking our cars here. We've been loyal customers since we moved here about seven years ago. I got a quote back over the summer for new shocks, struts, and an alignment for our 2018 Subaru Forrester for between 12 and $1300. So that is what we prepared for and saved for, so we brought it back in today expecting a new quote of maybe a little bit higher to count for inflation, but nothing too astronomical. Yeah, they came back with a quote of $2700. Over double what they quoted just a few months ago. So dishonest. Such a shame. Time to find another mechanic. read more

I only have weekends off, so I scheduled an appointment to get my brakes done today (Saturday ) I went to take my car in. When I went it I stated I was there due to my appointment. The guy at the counter said ok we won't get to this car until Monday. Are you leaving it here? Lol it's my only means of transportation, I may be stupid but isn't the idea of making an appointment so that you can get the service done at that time?? I don't reserve a table today to eat tomorrow or schedule a doctor appointment to check-in and get checked next week... WTF read more

I was getting ready to travel to Minnesota for July 4th and wanted to have my breaks checked. On June 11th, 2022, I went to Brakes Plus on Garfield. John did a walk around inspection of my car before it was brought in and noted that there was hail damage on my hood and several scratches on the car. I agreed with him and left the car there for the brake inspection. Before going there, I had completed a walk around myself as I always do before I get in the car. While in the grocery store, I received a call with the most ridiculous quote of 1008.00 for new rotors and brake pads on all 4 tires. I declined the offer and went to pick up my car. It was still up on the rack, so I waited in the office area with my groceries. When the car was brought out to me, I noticed immediately the round dent on the passenger side front bumper. This was clearly dented by my tire falling against it as it was brought down off the rack. Chuck, the manager was called in. He walked around and said that this was not done here. I told him to look at the check of list and sure enough there was no bumper damage. I know for a fact it was done there, and so does every employee in that place. He would not give me the check list and was very rude. I took my car to a reputable BBB auto shop. They showed me what good rotors and pads looked like and compared them to mine. I did not need rotors and only the front pads were slightly worn. They also told me that the dent was made from the tire as the rack was lowered. I have reported this store for fraud to my insurance company and the BBB. I will also notify the corporate office. read more

I went in to get a alignment done on my car I had a coupon. I had just purchased new tires replacement ball joints and my control arms before I took my car in to brakes Plus. The mechanics only get paid if they sell parts so nobody would give me an alignment without selling me a part that I did not need so I left there without an alignment. read more

Absolutely terrible. My mom took her car in for an alignment this week. The gentleman (and I use that word loosely) working on her vehicle called to tell her about repairs that would cost thousands of dollars. Parts recommended for replacement were replaced one week ago and not in need of repair. He proceeded to tell her that the vehicle had clearly been in an accident and needed the frame looked at. This is completely untrue as this vehicle has never even been in a fender bender. Beware if you choose to take your vehicle here. read more

I am very disappointed in these guys. they can't stand behind the service work they provide. had brakes and pads done on the front and rear in Feb and May. here we are the end of Nov. and I took my car back into them to have it checked but the car shakes when stopping. My wife took the 2001 vw beetle to have the brakes done the end of 2016. After about 6 mo the right rear brake started making a noise the was on and off. About 2 weeks ago it started grinding. These were lifetime warrantee and she took the car back and have the brakes looked at. I talked to them when they called. The wanted to replace rear calipers, rotors, said the emergency brake cables were frozen and needed to be replaced and gave an estimate of $1300 I had most of the parts and decided that a little over $ 200 for the calipers was better than 1300. What i found was the problem was caused by who ever did the left rear brake failed to use new brake hardware or didn't lube the pins the caliper slide on and it seized up and the caliper would not move. It destroyed the inside brake pad and the caliper and rotor. There was nothing wrong with the brake cables, they lied about that. My wife uses the ebrake all the time. The lifetime warrantee is not worth the paper it is written on and their work quality is BAD. Do not take your car there. read more

Called at store opening hour to ask if I could get an estimate. Was told, "Sure, as long as you can drop it off with us." Dropped off my car at 9:45 AM. Waited for hours to hear back and took it upon myself to finally call at 4 to see where they were at. "We're just now pulling it in the garage." Wait some more. Mind you, the store closes at 6. Finally I call them around 5:45 to let them know I'm picking up my car. "We were just putting an estimate together. You want me to put the car back together?" Really!? You mean to tell me from "4" to 5:45 and you still haven't put together an estimate? Have to wait in the front while the tech puts the lugs back on and lifts the car down. Then, while parking it he somehow hits the emergency lights. Starts to walk away to bring the keys back in and realizes the lights are on. Goes back to turn them off and is in my car for a while. Must be tough finding that switch to turn them off. And this is the guy working my estimate!? Wow. All the while additional people fill the lobby to pickup their cars that are, "just now finishing up." Time management anyone? I would have rather just had the manager tell me earlier in the day, "we're swamped and won't be able to get your estimate, maybe another day" Instead of having me wait by the phone all day for absolutely nothing accomplished. DON'T DO BUSINESS HERE, THEY SCAM ANYONE THEY CAN. Scheduled an appointment to get my brake pads replaced. Left my car with them for five hours and they call back saying they finished their inspection. They insisted my rotors were too warped to replace the brake pads, and that my caliber also needed to be replaced. For some reason, they thought it was necessary to "inspect" my suspension and insisted my tire rod was so loose that it would "fall off at any time, leaving me with no control of my steering." Quoted me at $2300 worth of repairs, when all I wanted was my brakes pads changed out. DONT LET THEIR FEAR TACTICS WORK ON YOU. Took my car to the family owned shop down the street, and they said I still had half of the life left in my brakes pads and everything else looks great and charged me nothing. Told them about what happened at Brakes Plus and they said an elderly woman just came into their shop saying Brakes Plus quoted her for $1500 worth of repairs on her brand new car. DONT GIVE THESE SCAMMERS YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY. THEY PRAY ON WOMEN AND ELDERY PEOPLE. read more

I took my vehicle in for an evaluation of my brakes and was told that both my front wheel bearings were bad and needed replacing. I had an inkling that there was an issue with the front end because I had hit a very deep chuck hole on the front driver's side last month and I noticed greater road noise thereafter. Brakes Plus in Loveland quoted me $939 to replace the wheel bearings and hubs on both sides. I felt that it was strange that both sides were bad since it was only the left side that incurred the chuck hole. Consequently, I took it down the road a bit to a BBB Accredited auto repair shop and, after removing the wheels on the driver's and passenger's side, their evaluation revealed that indeed only the driver's side front bearing and hub were defective. I had that shop replace the parts and the vehicle now sounds like it just came off the showroom floor. So, beware of this shop because I would've have been overcharged $470. And if you get a quote from this shop my advice is to get a second quote from a more reputable business than this one that has a Better Business Bureau rating of B- that this Brakes Plus shop has read more

Went in there about a week ago with my car a 02 lancer to get a estimate of what it would cost to get a diagnoses and they diagnosed my car and told me that i needed to get inner tie rod ends and rear struts as well. So 2 weeks later after i got paid i came back and then got my inner tie odd ends fixed and they came back with a new spread sheet after they just diagnosed it and said i need all 4 struts and front strut towers and need new wheel bearings as well as new power steering rack. So i went home and figured out that a power steering rack comes with the inner tie rod ends so esentially they just scammed me for 300$ for no reason at all, it's their job to diagnose things right the first time not mine to figure out how shady and un reliable they really are. I WILL NEVER VISIT THIS PLACE AGAIN OR REFER ANYONE TO GO TO THEM I WILL DO THE OPPOSITE OF THAT. read more

Just picked up our truck from Loveland Brakes Plus, so pleased with their honestly! ! Went in with a loud squeal coming from the brakes. They checked and discovered a small spring that was causing the noise and it did not cause any issue other than noise........they indicated that we did not need any work done at this time at NO charge!! Went in on a Saturday hoping to get an oil change, but was told they were too busy which I appreciated immensely! So, I made the appointment for the following week, showed up just 3 minutes late to my appointment time and they said all the bays were already full then I told them I had the appointment. They told me it would be an hour and a half so I took the kids to the shops, came back and the car was being pulled out and was ready to go. Nice folks and will use them again, but may make an appointment for a different day in hopes that I won't have to wait to get my car into the bay when I get there at my appointment time. read more
