Had a very frustrating experience here with Anthony (front desk associate). Right other, he was unfriendly and abrasive. I made an appointment under my phone number and not my spouse, but a big deal, but a min-lecture begins to happen on how the phone numbers need to match bc their system won't have the history. Okay, I understand, I've worked with several CRM systems and it's not that deep. A cars service history can be found with enough clarification. We've been going here on/off for several years. Needed an oil change and tire help. We purchased 4 tires here in 2024. First told the oil change was $107 (I've never paid that much for our sedan or SUV, even at the dealerships). So a bit of sticker shock. After some thought canceled the oil change, but later found a coupon online for $25 off. That felt more reasonable. Later, I am told my tire cannot be patched and the options are being spewed out on tire levels, cost, etc. I simply wanted to make sure I understood the situation and followed-up with asking questions and to be met with a rude response of "Like I said..." - I was done trying to be polite so, I called Anthony out on his abrasive and rude behavior. Seems other reviews have had the same experiences. This is NOT how you treat people when all they are trying to do is understand the situation. It is very likely I will not return here and there is better auto service and care elsewhere. Side note: I brought cookies to their staff bc life is just too much at times and I was still treated so poorly. Sigh. 9/20/26 - @Lana your reply is appreciated, but you need to be corrected. Anthony did not offer for me to repurchase the warranty. That's is a flat out lie. The offer was to buy a new tire for over $200+ or they would put the spare on. Thats the truth. If I had been offered to repurchase the warranty, I would have strongly considered. However, I was treated so unkindly for no reason by him, so I took my business elsewhere to Discount Tires instead. The experience was much more pleasant. Moving forward, before you try to gaslight customers or twist the story, gather your facts. There was one other associate in the building (he was at the desk behind the first one) and heard the entire exchange. Seems you are doing a lot of damage control with replies and other issues from customers. Don't you think a direct phone call to me would have been more appropriate? It's a shame and I will never return to Big O Tires again. read more

The attitude of the worker I dealt with twice was very unprofessional I wouldn't choose this particular store to get serviced.

After realizing that I had a screw in my tire, a few days ago, I stopped at the Colfax location to get it plugged and was told that it would cost $35. After the young sales associate examined the tire he told me that bc the screw was in a certain spot in the tire that starts to curve it couldn't be plugged and I would need to buy 4 new tires. I let him know that I needed to consult w/ my husband and would get back to him. They kindly added air to the tire to get me home. The next day my husband went to the Lakewood Big O location and they plugged the tire for $20 no problem... WTH was I told that it couldn't be patched at the Colfax location and that I need to buy 4 new tires!!! After reading more reviews I wonder if I was being taken advantage of bc I am a women and not sure about repairing tires? Does the sales person not understand how to plug a tire? For this reason I will not use or recommend this location to anyone. read more

I came in for new tires. Max was supposed to call and let me know if an alignment was as needed. Instead he did an alignment without my approval. He called about needing another repair, which I declined and then hung on me mid-sentence. When I asked him why he hung up on me and did the alignment without my permission, he was dismissive and said there is no manager or person to contact. He said "leave a Google review." WOW! When I pushed, gave an owners card. Whatever is happening here is super toxic. read more

Highly disappointed in this branch. I got off work had a flat tire which I had aired it up the day before and that same more before leaving for work. I was able to get there around 4:45pm. I requested them to fix a flat, the younger gentleman looked at me and said we can't help you we close at 6. There were 2-3 other employees in the bay with only one car on the rack. literally said we can't help but we can put some air in it and you can be on your way. They said the close at 6, and wouldn't be able to know how long it would take to fix if they started. I got my air and called another branch, rushed over there because they said they would take care of my car. worst customer service ever. read more

I drove in for help filling my tire. I couldn't find a working pump anywhere and the previous pump I tried at the King Sooper took my money and actually also took more air out of my tire! The sweet angel working in the bay checked and filled my tire and sent me on my way with kind words and no request for payment. I am so grateful! Thank you! read more

I had a blow out and needed new tires asap. Salesman showed me my options, and didn't try to upsell to more expensive set of tires. Very low pressure. I was sure I'd need an alignment but picked up car 2 hours later and they told me no alignment was needed. They could have charged me for one and I'd never had known. went for a standard oil change at this big old tires oil change took longer than expected almost around three hours just for them to come out and say "something is leaking" and I asked what was leaking and they didn't bother to elaborate when I re- the question three other times, just for a couple days later that my check engine light came on, I decided to look at it myself and the entire couple days from me leaving the big old tires, I come to find out they didn't put my oil cap back on, so the entire time after my oil change I had to put more oil back into my car just because they didn't bother putting an oil cap back on that 101 of a goddamn damn oil change, would not recommend this unless you want to be screwed over twice read more

This place is an absolute joke and fraud. Do not let them fool you into thinking that just because they reply to bad reviews they actually do anything. The emails are not replied to and the phone number goes to some random employee who says the manager is out sick and will call you tomorrow, they do not call back. This is just the worst service. Don't go here by urself if ur a younger girl they will over charge to I went in to get two tires for my jeep and both 158$ total they ended up charging me over 270$ for two 75$ tires I live across the street and my family has gone here a few times but was never satisfied so I don't know why I went but it was urgent I brought the receipt back to my grandpa and he was pretty pissed I got charged for warranty for 4 tires ??I didn't ask for and ect. Do not go to this shop. I had a new set of tires put on at their shop on the 12th of January and they stripped out all my lug nuts. None of the lugs were torqued correctly, 12 out of 24 lugs were not tight at all, 4 lugs I could take off with my hands. I call and never head back from the shop. Im lucky I checked or this would have been much worse. Do not go to the Big O at 5405 E Colfax. While I was there I heard the owner talking to another customer about pending litigation so seems like they have messed up with other people vehicles too. I did call the shop and they pulled up all my information and said someone would call me. I never heard back from this shop so the owner posting to say he would make it right is not true. I've been going to this location on and off for years, and over the past couple of years the service has taken a decline in my opinion. However, this specific example has led me to not want to return to this location again. I took my car in to have a blown tire replaced, but since I would have to drop the car off I wanted them to see why my brakes were making a grinding sound when I braked. I had them replace my front brakes a couple months prior on their recommendation, and didn't have any sounds prior to that from the car. After they replaced them, I started to hear a grinding or rubbing sound when I braked. From prior experience, I knew that they likely needed to be broken in. However, over 2 months later the sound has not gone away. They said they would look at the issue when they were replacing my blown tire. When I picked it up the guy told me he has bad news about the brakes. First that there was no noise they could replicate (I have had passengers ask me about the noise, so I know it's not just me hearing it) second was that the only noise was a rear differential problem when the car turned that was making noise. I never had any noises when I was turning, just braking. Upon challenging him on the fact that none of that made sense and that we needed to figure out where to go from here, he essentially said "I don't know what to tell you, and that I should go take it to someone else to find the problem." So I paid him the cost of the tire replacement, and asked him for the keys. He then didn't find them and said they were probably in the car. I responded with "so you mean my car has been sitting out in your lot unlocked with the keys in there?" His response was literally "I guess Fing so" he then proceeded to walk out open the unlocked door to my car and tossed me the keys, no words, no apologies, nothing. I'm going to take this to another tire shop to figure this out, and I expect them to honor their word on taking care of the issue on why I needed to go to someone else to be taken care of. For the owner of this page, please save your cookie cutter answer of reach out to us at the store number. You have my information, if you want to make this right; you'll contact me. Update to a 1 star due to the review response: your response is false, as no one gave me a referral to another shop. I was just dismissed and told that I was "welcome to take it to anyone else to check it out." I did in fact take it to the dealer and not only did they replicate the noise I was talking about (which you said didn't exist), they specifically said it was due to the brakes not being installed correctly and the type of brake. They told me to take it back to you and have you correct it, and didn't want to charge me for the repairs because "it should have been done correctly when installed." They also checked the differential and they said it was completely fine. So definitely never going back to this location ever again. I love that the fact that an employee of yours thinks it's ok to exclaim expletives to a customer and with other customers in the waiting area didn't even register from my complaint. Along with flat out lying about giving me a referral to get the issue you thought was wrong checked out, really speaks to how little you cared to research my complaint or making it right. read more

I felt so relieved that I wasn't bamboozled into buying a new tire. My tire was replaced within 15 minutes of walking in the door. I brought my vehicle to this location a few weeks ago for a check engine light issue. I had already pulled the diagnostic codes, and after their evaluation, they completed repairs costing over $1,500. Not even one tank of gas later, the check engine light came back on with the exact same code. This matched the original diagnostic report and the repairs I paid for. When I called to address the issue, I reminded them that their website states they stand behind their work and that the replaced parts are under warranty. However, they implied that I would need to pay for another diagnostic and possibly more repairs--essentially charging me twice for the same unresolved issue. How is it acceptable to charge someone again for a problem they claimed to have fixed? This seems like a tactic to extract more money rather than standing by their service. After reading reviews, I discovered many others have had similar experiences, feeling overcharged or misled by this location. While I've had good service at other branches, this one clearly does not operate in good faith or honor its commitments. If you're considering this shop, save yourself the headache and go elsewhere. Based on my experience, they do subpar work, refuse to take accountability, and prioritize profits over customer trust. Stay away at all costs. Update on Service I went back to address the ongoing issue with my vehicle, and, as expected, the same diagnostic code that I originally brought it in for reappeared. The shop now claims they didn't diagnose this specific issue the first time and that it could potentially be caused by something else. Essentially, they ignored the exact problem I identified when I first came in and instead performed over $1,500 worth of other repairs--repairs I'm now questioning whether I even needed. To fix the issue they dismissed initially, they are asking for an additional $500. Even then, they can't guarantee that this will resolve the problem. This experience has made it clear that this shop prioritizes unnecessary and costly repairs over proper diagnostics or customer trust. It's a scam. If you value your time and money, take your vehicle somewhere else. If you've had a similar experience with this location, I strongly encourage you to file a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and the Big O Tires Corporate Office. This franchise's business practices are unethical and should not be allowed to continue. read more

Had bought an emergency tire after a huge pothole near Avon a week ago and it seemed to be leaking even after I filled them and calibrated them. So Tadeo in Avon sent me to the Denver Big O. Called and Ken was great and said "Bring it on in". So I did. They moved pretty quickly and advised me all tires were fine. They recalibrated again (I had done the same) and sent me on my way, no charge (!). I'll drive it awhile but the tires seem fine. Will update if it proves to be truly leaking. But for now, all is great! Clean, bright waiting area w/ outlets and good wifi, coffee, water and clean restrooms. read more

Dont get me wrong i know they are a big company and the people were great aslong as you treat them with the respect you want to receive, anyway took my car in for an alignment with basically all new suspension ofc they find the one thing that needs to be replaced so guess what I did, i replaced it be myself. Eventually I take it back and again they find another thing they need to do before my alignment but between that time the car hasnet even driven 100 miles so there was no wear and tear on new parts just sat on its own weight anyway im just done going back and forth so I asked on how much. Basically they are charging 700 dollars for tie rod inners and outers and alignment. Alignment - 98 dollars Tie rod parts - 20 bucks a pop and there are 4 parts to make a total of one two working parts soo 80 buck for that. How do i know you may ask i worked at advance auto parts& OReilly auto parts for around 2.5 years total ik my parts and durning that 2.5 years i also worked at a total of two shops an exhaust shop and an actual shop although neither were massive companies they should not be charging this much for such a simple fix/ repair. So moral of the story be ready to pay alot to fix your car no matter what it is! Anyway have a great day :) read more

I originally came here because they had a good deal on tires. I came back for an oil change and they claimed that my rotors are warped and my brake pads are 3mm and need to be replaced asap. They quote me 1200$ to replace. Months later I took my car somewhere else and they tell me my brakes are at 6mm and are fine. I also took my car here for an evac and recharge of the ac system and when I went back for diagnostic they tried to charge me for the same service I had already paid for. This place is a scam. I took my car in to have the snow tires changed out to my all season tires. I was charged $310.00, just for the change and the "free alignment check". They also told me that my brakes and rotors HAD to be replaced, and it was very dangerous to drive the car at all without the work being done. The estimate given for that work was $3283.54. Yes, you read that right. I've attached the estimate. I took my car to another shop to check if the brakes actually did need work, and nothing needed to be done. The car is safe to drive. This shop is dishonest and unscrupulous! I can't express enough how shady this place is. DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLES TO THIS TIRE SHOP!! read more
