Not impressive when you drive up, but definitely worth a visit. Brisket is a bit fatty but well cooked and flavorful, NC BBQ is solid and sauces available all work. The star of this restaurant are the sides, tried the collards, Mac & cheese, jalapeño corn bread (with pot liker)and smoked potato salad. All were great even though the Mac was a bit over cooked. Had to try the banana pudding with bacon just for the novelty of it. I would pass, the pudding and the bacon were both good but the combination did not work. More about textures than flavour on that one. read more

Great BBQ. The mac & cheese is great but the potato Salad wow never had any like there's. If you like beer & BBQ this is your place

Great BBQ and a few fun menu items with a twist. Though limited draft (understandable considering it it a small place) they have a good variety on tap. Great food in a family environment. I can't wait to see them grow. read more

This place is fantastic. The wings are outstanding , really nothing like them around. The menu has some unique items, all worth trying. The pork and chicken are fantastic and the potato salad is one-of-a-kind! Great staff, very friendly!! read more

Brew was great, food was ok. Brisket was dry. Sides were the best part of the meal. Great Mac n cheese.

My go-to place! This place makes me glad I moved to this side of Cary. Great food, beer and staff. Everything on the menu is great! I take people here and they always love it! read more

Best smoked wings hands down. I've tried numerous wings throughout the Carolinas. Bbq is wonderful!! And brisket is perfection!!!!

First time. Great brisket! Will definitely be back. I want to try it all. Don't forget the banana pudding! If you're a beer drinker, 100's of choices! read more

Brisket= top notch. Chopped Pork =top notch. Sides(slaw, smoked pot salad, mac'n chess= super). If you have any issues, contact Mike, the owner - he WILL make it right! read more

Delicious food. I am not normally a barbecue person and I promise you this was gourmet barbecue! 5 stars. Ambiance - in their defense, it is a particularly hot August day - nevertheless, the temperature was a little warm. 3.5-4 stars. Service was ok. One Waitress was eating in the background while we were eating. The other waitress had stains on her white shorts. Seemed like it was an off-time: between their busy times of lunch and dinner: perhaps it was their "catch-up" time. 3 stars. Looking forward to coming back and trying different dishes. read more

A beer only review, because I didn't have time to eat-but the food looked and smelled fantastic, and everyone was digging it! The beer selection was broad and high quality, both the tap and the retail options. The staff knew what they were talking about, and they looked out for me. My 1st pint kicked the keg, so they comped it, even though it was excellent, and their recommendation based on my first pick was on the money. I was in from out of town and the manager helped me pick out some great packs beers to go. Ass Clown makes some great stuff and I've never seen anything of theirs anywhere else, and every other option I bought was good or great! Thank you for a terrific experience, I hope to visit again when I am in town and have more time to stick around! ****Editing because on my return trip my son and I stayed and ate.....wow. I mean, well out of your way good. I got the last order of burnt ends and I really felt sorry for the next guy that ordered-not sorry enough to share, but sorry. My son didn't want to leave. Will definitely be back next time I'm within 50 miles.**** read more

I had the smoked chicken wings with Mac and cheese Did I say awesome!!!!!!!!!! The outside is a little scetcy but the inside is warm and friendly. Seating is limited so get there e as rly read more

Once again we tried this place even after telling them the meat was dry last time we went there it was again dry as sawdust. I don't know what others are raving about except the potato salad was awesome. read more

Best food place in Cary !!!! The food, the service , the beer collection a must check out!

Holy cow this place is amazing! Beer selection is local and fantastic. "Burnt ends" of the brisket are amazing - apparently only available on certain days. Extra fatty and extra flavorful. Wings are perfectly seasoned and the bleu cheese slaw is my favorite side. The service is phenomenal. Can't recommend it enough! read more

First off, the food was awesome. Prices were very reasonable. But what put the dinner over the top was the staff. The passion that they have for the food they were serve is refreshing. Their descriptions of meats and sides made me keep ordering more and I wasn't disappointed with any dish. Thanks Brew ' Que, if I'm in the Chapel Hill area I will be back. read more

The food and beer is outstanding. The service is even better. I had a few hours to burn before my flight and am so glad I stopped by. I've had bbq just about everywhere in the US and this is one of the best overall experiences I've had. Very cool little place. read more

Excellent Texas brisket and white sauce chicken. Servers are friendly and attentive.

The best bbq I have had in North Carolina! Friendly, clean, and welcoming atmosphere with several selections of entrees. Highly recommend making it to this spot! read more

We love Big Mike's authentic NC BBQ. It's the best we've had...by far! He is very accommodating and generous with portion sizes. If you haven't tried it, you need to! You won't regret it...you'll be hooked! read more

The food here is really good. We had the smoked chicken wings as an appetizer, they were extremely tasty! My wife had the "big cheesy" which is a grilled cheese sandwich with bbq pork and pimento cheese. It's a huge sandwich but it was so good, she ate it all. I had the brisket basket. The brisket was very good, but I was most impressed with the sides. The baked beans were outstanding and the smoked potato salad was super!!! Two minor complaints, not much for kids here and they only have three tables and a bar, so they aren't much of a restaurant. I will definitely be back, might do take out next time because the food here is legit! read more

Awesome find in a plain old strip mall. Awesome bbq and great sides. On top of the great food they have a nice bottle shop as well to take home some brews. They offer mostly local breed on tap as well. read more

Amazing little place with great Q! I really loved the burnt ends that I haven't been able to find anywhere else in this area and the baked beans are amazing! Also, an incredibly large selection of beer. You have to look a little harder to find the place, but it's worth the effort! read more

Was lead here from yelp while on business in the triangle, said it was the best barbecue in Cary. We were pumped as the reviews are awesome! What a laugh. Food was subpar, cornbread was dry, and the baked beans were mush. Let the staff know, and was met with very little concern. I saw what looked to be the owner or manager on duty drinking behind the bar yukking it up; tall heavy set looking man while the restaurant was busy and my party waited before we were seated. I will not be back or recommend when we return in the following months. Save yourself the trip. The beer selection is quite overwhelming and great but maybe you should focus more on the way you present yourself and customer service. read more

Ehhh not a healthy option in site! The barbecue is pretty tasty though. Would be more enjoyable with some sides that don't include mayo or cheese. read more

At first I was disappointed that they didn't have fries until we tried the potato salad. We're heading back in a couple days...can't get enough. read more

The BBQ was tasty - not crazy great but solidly good. Very good side dishes, like Mac and cheese, corn bread, and cheesy potato salad. Super friendly service. The dessert selection looked great, but we had no room left. read more

Having moved up from Texas after a few years in the lone star state, I expected my brisket days to be over, replaced by pulled pork. Was very pleased to find Big Mike's nearby. I haven't had the pulled pork, but did give the brisket a shot, and was really really pleased. Having sampled a lot of the more well-regarded spots in Austin (Franklin's, La BBQ, Salt lick) and even a couple notable ones around other parts of TX (Black's in Lockhart comes to mind), this brisket was right up there in terms of overall quality and taste. Seriously among the best I think I've had, and the list above includes spots continuously ranked among the best in the country. Additionally, the sides I ordered, mac & cheese and cole slaw, were also very well done and enjoyable themselves. I haven't been in Raleigh much more than a month, but can only imagine what it would've meant to me to find this place after a year without brisket. Glad I didn't have to wait that long. Will be back regularly. read more

I had no idea about east and west N. Carolina sauces or about pot liquor or about smoked potato salad. Now I am freakin' hooked on this place!! From California and possibly moving to NC. So happy to have found this friendly place with food I know I am going to crave. Make sure and ask for a punch card! read more

Brew N Que is AWESOME!! Their wings are smoked for 24 hours and then fried when ordered--they're not "buffalo" wings, they're not spicy--they're just DELICIOUS! The barbeque is outstanding, the sides are delicious, AND you have a great selection of beers on tap, PLUS the ones you can buy and take home. If you get a chance to stop by, you will not be disappointed. read more

This place is legit. They have a crazy selection of beers. Mac and cheese is good. Pork is good. Their BBQ sauce is good. Their potato salad is OMFG good - it's salty/crispy/cheesy potatoes and they're amazing. We went on a slow day and there was no wait at all. Literally took 5 minutes to get our food. We also bought our dog a massive piece of pork rind for $2 (he loved it). We'll be back! read more

Hands down best place for BBQ in the Triangle and Eastern NC!!! Forget what you see on those cheesy TV shows, this is the real delicious BBQ in NC. The smoked chicken is the best chicken I can remember having in the last 20 years. The BBQ brisket literally melts on your tongue so much so you can taste the freshness of the beef. Eli, Will and Ian know there stuff and you can taste it in every awesome bite. And the pork was beyond any restaurant or pit in anyone I have been and I travel eastern NC for a living daily. Finished off with the softess homemade corn bread and honey butter with the sweet potatoes for dessert. I dont even eat sweets really but the sweet potatoes were so good I ate them like ice cream. I didnt even try any of the amazing selection of beers on tap, but ill be back saturday and every week I can in th7e future. It was so good, my mouth is still watering talking about it. No joke, best BBQ in NC by my vote and the locals that know the spot. 100% must eat if you live in the Triangle. This is my new favorite, frequent spot. Dont forget to try the amazing homemade sauces, they are out of this world good. read more

My family and I found this place online while on vacation in North Carolina - there were eight of us and NONE of us were disappointed! This place is a tiny place that makes a BIG impression! At first, we thought that maybe it was just a store front since the outside was rather unassuming and looked more than modest. When we sat down, the service was awesome! Their beer was great (although it was a pretty hot day and we were thirsty) but the food was what made the best impression. We each ordered a variety of sides and meat. I ordered the brisket and it was amazing! All of their coleslaw varieties were good as well but I was a fan of the traditional slaw myself! The smoked potato salad and their mac n cheese - wow! I felt like a kid again! Especially finishing with their bacon banana pudding?! Crazy good! They were all generous portions and I recommend going with a group and each ordering different things so you can sample as much as you can! I hope to visit this place again the next time we go back east! read more

Good atmosphere and even better staff. Very friendly and capable. Ordered the brisket and it was delicious, dont skip the burnt ends!

Serves Big Mike's BBQ, which is better than City BBQ and way better than Danny's bbq. The potato salad is the best in town. Chopped pork and chicken is awesome. Good beer selection on tap and small quiet environment. read more

5 stars isn't enough- not only was the food AMAZING but the staff is super kind and helpful. Definitely recommend and will be back for sure!

I have been here 3 times and each time I am in hog (bbq style) heaven! I couldn't wait to try one of the highest ranked bbq joints in the Cary area, and I wasn't disappointed. I will get the delicious, almost crispy, dry rub chicken wings anytime. They are perfect without any sauce and have a slight sweetness to the rub. I've had the beef brisket and the chopped pork bbq with their Carolina sauce and that was also outstounding. The last time I came here (last week) for brisket and wings, the sign outside announced "We have Burnt Ends" and my adrenaline was sky high as I ordered a pound of burnt ends and the usual chicken wings. Best burnt ends I've had since a mom & pop place ages ago in Kansas City. I'll have to change my commute slightly so I can cruise by and watch for the next time burnt ends are available! I also enjoy the selection of craft beers and am always eager to try some new beers with my lunch. read more

Went here two days ago and loved it. I had pork and mac n cheese with cornbread. All three were wonderful. The cornbread had a great spongy texture. My husband had the brisket and raved about it (he is very serious about BBQ and is pretentious when it comes to his food). Banana pudding was amazing. Great vibe and decor inside. Great, attentive service. Only wish there was more room inside! read more

Awesome food, amazing beers and a friendly staff. Will return next time I'm in the area!

Brisket was dry. The pulled pork was good. My favorite item was the redneck nachos. Cole slaw was flavorless.
