    BBQ Sundae

Had the delicious BBQ Sundae. Mac & Cheese topped with collard greens with just the right amount of acid, pulled pork and pickled all which formed a delicious bite! Location was great with plenty of available seating. Wonderful place with plenty of available eating options and great ambiance. Service was friendly and efficient.

If I could give ZERO STARS, I DEFINITELY would! I ordered a shrimp burger. Long story short, there was hair fried in with my shrimp. First bite, mouth full of hair. Just disgusting. I will NEVER order from here EVER AGAIN. $15 wasted!

This place was great! It's located inside of the Morgan Street Food Hall, with plenty of menu options. Their Nashville style chicken sandwich was delicious and I highly recommend it alongside their Mac & Cheese. Definitely stop by when in the area!

Good food inside of Morgen Food Hall, downtown Raleigh. This shrimp & grits were split between mom/I to make it an EXPERIENCE while there with family. Share your food to test taste other vendors. This was a big portion, shrimp cooked to perfection with great flavors, a quick turnaround, plenty seating near by, delicious Southern sweet tea, etc. My nephew ordered mac & cheese topped with Nashville chicken (not pictured), which was yummy too! Treat yourself to an adventure in the city!

Got the Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich with some tots. The sandwich was as good if not better than Dave's Hot chicken. Really good. Tots were crispy and solid. Mac and Cheese was good, not great. Had an IPA from the bar at the food hall. Would definitely go back! Also first time at the Morgan St. Food hall. That was an interesting experience. Not bad to pop into while walking around. I don't know if I would specifically plan on going there for dinner or a date night.

I showed up at Morgan Street food Hall intending to go to Gym tacos, but I pivoted last minute and decided to try out Iyla's...and I'm so glad I did! I ordered the wolf pack sandwich and a side of macaroni and cheese and collard greens. I'm a mac and cheese snob and I have to tell you, theirs was reallllly good. And as someone who just recently moved here from Nashville, I can sincerely say they did a damn fine job with their Nashville hot chicken. That sandwich was dope! Really enjoyed my meal here, and I can't wait to come back and try out some more menu items!

The hushpuppies were amazing and honestly that was probably all I needed to know to be sure I'll be back. However, we also got chicken and waffles for the kids and I probably stole half of it from them because it was so good and so plentiful that they couldn't finish it even though they wanted to.

Well, this place was delicious! It's in a food hall, which we didn't expect, but it's a really comfortable/inviting food hall. So glad we actually managed to get here!

I bring friends here every time I'm hosting in Raleigh. Every time it's a good experience. I love the level of casual conversation and customer service. DJ was such a good host with good customer service. I'll be back - Again!

Everytime we eat here it's a hit! My husbands sticks to the Nashville hot fried chicken sandwich which is a hugeeee thigh piece fried to perfection, served between a bun with pickles and slaw with a side of tots. The spice levels are regular medium hot! Ofcourse we get the hot and absolutely love the burn! This last time I saw someone get the the hot chicken bowl that is the same huge piece of fried chicken thigh Nashville hot style, on a bowl of cheesy Mac and cheese! And omg was the Mac and cheese amazing !! Both portions are huge ! We usually have the tots leftover or half the chicken (for the bowl) We had ordered 2 sandwiches at first, and then I saw someone get the bowl and wanted that, and with the bowl being a couple of dollars more they did change my sandwich to the bowl but skipped the tots to make up for the price change! I definitely want to go back and try the shrimp and grits and ask them if I can get it Nashville hot - hot style. This place is at the Morgan street food hall and very easy to miss if you cannot differentiate the heavenly smell of fried chicken from the rest of the joints. There are a bunch of tables indoor and outdoors with a full bar too!

Been to the Food Hall before but this is the first time we eat at this place! They have about 11 items on the menu and a couple of sides! We ordered the 2 piece chicken tender with a side of tots and the fried chicken sandwich with tots and pickles on the side! Let me tell you the portions are big and tasty! It was really good and tasted perfectly fried! Let me tell you that means a lot because some places over fry their food and taste the oil sometimes! You will not be disappointed! You get your number and wait to be called for your order! We were here on. Saturday afternoon and the order came out quick! Will be back to taste their bacon puppies and their shrimp and grits!! Till next time!!

As of this review they are the #2 most reviewed place in Raleigh only behind the Pit. When we went last week for a farewell dinner it took us 3 weeks to get in. We got turned away 2 other times. The place was always packed and busy yet cozy and calm with great service. Hopefully they relocate or put some of the items from the menu at Pooles. I understand as if you aren't seated when they open, you can expect a 90-minute to two-hour wait. I was hoping to get the Chicken Pot Pie this time and thought my prior visit was just off. I was thrilled that most of the menu was available. They were just out of the banana pudding. So I got to try the pecan wings I read about with the white sauce. It was so good. Then I got the chicken pot pie and biscuits. The pot pie had old biscuits for the topping, but the creamy mixture with large chunks of chicken was delicious. My biscuits came with honey and were served warm. I left with a slice of the chocolate-caramel-coconut cake, a side salad without onions, and a fried boneless thigh. The salad was made correctly, and the dressing was included. The salad was full of veggies, and the cake was rich and moist. Service was friendly and as soon as I finished my iced tea, another appeared. My wings were brought out first and it was a while for the rest of the meal as the restaurant was full. But they didn't rush me at all. I actually liked the space between the dishes, as I might not have been able to eat it all otherwise. I couldn't finish both biscuits and was even provided a container for the honey. I am going to miss Beasley's, but I'm glad I got a positive experience to remember the restaurant.

My first time trying deviled eggs I can say they were actually pleasant. The soul roll had this good taste with a subtle head to it just to spice it up. Overall really enjoyable apps. With so many options to choose from we all ended up getting the Double combo. I had Brisket and bbq chicken with Mac n cheese, brussel sprouts and. Sweet potatoe casserole. The chicken was the only piece lacking in comparison to the others. The brisket was very solid, very good enough to order again. The sides however were amazing. The Mac and cheese had such a good taste to it, the brussel sprouts had a blend with bacon bits and something glazed on them that was perfect and the sweet potatoes was another great side addition to the rest. It's been an interesting journey--because while I absolutely respect the tradition, my palate has definitely evolved over the years toward lighter, more elevated, visually beautiful food. That said, sometimes you just have to lean in and experience the classics. Tupelo Honey had been on my list for a while, so during a recent work trip to Raleigh-Durham, I decided to check it off. The location is in a very nice, upscale area--one of those shopping districts where, if you see a Whole Foods nearby, you know the neighborhood is going to be polished, safe, and easy to navigate. Parking was simple in a lot across the street, and since I had a reservation, I was seated quickly on the patio, which was lovely and comfortable. For starters, I ordered the "biscuits for a cause," which is a nice touch knowing the proceeds support employee relief and development funds. They were warm and classic Southern biscuits--exactly what you'd expect. For my entrée, I went with the honey-dusted fried chicken (dark meat), a true Southern staple. It was well prepared, flavorful, and satisfying, especially if you're in the mood for something hearty and traditional. I also tried a cocktail called "The Debutante," which was pleasant and refreshing, and finished the meal with the butter pecan cheesecake for dessert. Overall, the meal was good--solid, reliable Southern comfort food--but if I'm being completely honest, it wasn't particularly memorable for me. I was traveling for work and dining on a per diem, so it checked the box for a dependable dinner in a convenient location. As a larger regional chain, it feels a bit like a rite of passage when you're spending time in the Southeast--something you try once to understand the landscape. Bottom line: Tupelo Honey delivers classic Southern comfort food in a polished, accessible setting. Service was smooth, the patio was pleasant, and everything was executed well. For me personally, it was a good experience--but not one I'd necessarily go out of my way to repeat. Still, as I continue eating my way through the Carolinas and beyond, I'm glad I gave it a try.

Sweet, salty, buttery chaos in the best way. For the main, I went with the pork chop and greens. The greens had a nice little kick of heat, but I kept waiting for that deep smoky ham hock flavor to show up like an old Southern grandma entering the kitchen... and it never quite arrived. The Food The menu leans comfort food with a modern edge, and it's done really well across the board. We started with a Caesar salad with dill pickle dressing, which sounds like it shouldn't work but absolutely does. Bright, fresh, and just different enough to be interesting without trying too hard. The beet salad was also excellent, clean flavors and well balanced. Then came the pimento cheese with fried crackers. This might have been the sleeper hit. The crackers are dangerously good. The place was crowded but there was no wait. I got seated immediately at a table near a column in the middle of the restaurant and Christy came over and asked if I wanted anything to drink. She brought me iced water and gave me time to look at the menu. I wanted to try so many things and I was too optimistic about ordering 3 things and finishing them myself. Good thing I only ordered 2 things! An order of fried catfish with home fries and one egg. And a biscuit with sausage gravy. The fried catfish was salted and well fried. It tasted delicious for my first bite! The home fries were basically cut potatoes, but they weren't very fried or flavored. I wished I ordered the side of apple sauce instead. The biscuit and sausage was good, but a bit too much for one person after eating a separate order already. Definitely bring more people so you can try more things. Also, I wished I had asked for sausage gravy on the side so I can try the biscuit on its own first as well. Furthermore, I would have more time to eat the catfish so I wasn't worried about the biscuit getting soggy. Christy came to check up on me every now and then. The place was buzzing with people and decorations so I didn't feel so alone. When it was time to pay, Christy brought me the check for me to pay at the cash register. Both Christy and the cashier were so friendly! The restaurant does have a women's and a mens restroom if needed.
