Homerun with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle
Kellie D.

Tried this place the other night and it greatly exceeded my expectations. Not your average Belgian waffle. This waffle was dense and fluffy at the same time with a deliciously caramelized sugar crunch. You could see the waffles sitting in dough balls rather than the kind of batter you pour in a griddle. They seemed much more substantial and filling than a regular waffle. I ordered the Homerun which is a waffle topped with your choice of ice cream, a drizzle and fruit. I ordered vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle. The caramel drizzle was perfect with the flavor of the waffle. Prices were reasonable, especially for the food hall. Looking forward to taking my kids here.

Friendly service and yummy ice cream! The unique options here are the warm & crispy waffles. The Belgian style waffles are the perfect thing to add to you dessert. They also offer several drizzle options, and fruit toppings The ice cream shop is kiosk style inside Morgan Street Food Hall Overall this is a great addition to the food hall to get your sweet fix for a snack or after a meal at one of the other vendors, but I'm not sure I'd drive there for just the dessert with the tons of ice cream options in Raleigh

Homerun - one scoop + one waffle + fruits + drizzle (black cherry ice cream)

I absolutely love their waffles and ice cream! The waffle is so crispy and delicious! I actually was invited to try their waffles and share a photo on Instagram but I'm reviewing them on Yelp as well because I really enjoyed the food. They're located inside the Morgan Street Food Hall in front of The Bowls. I chose the HOMERUN option that comes with one scoop + one waffle + fruits + drizzle and I picked the black cherry ice cream, strawberry and Nutella. Everything was amazing and I can't wait to go back there!

For a unique sweet treat, try Big League Waffles and Scoops! I attended a friends and family event prior to the Grand Opening (happening Wednesday 23rd at 2pm) and enjoyed trying out a waffle & scoops along with my daughter. Located inside the Morgan Street Food Hall (in the main corridor in front of The Bowls), this will be a new spot to satisfy your sweet tooth! The menu features delicious homemade Leige waffles (which are Belgium waffles served warm and fresh with beads of sugar pearls throughout the batter) and local ice cream from Homeland Creamery. They offer a variety of drizzles and toppings, plus Big League also sells ice cream by the scoop in cups or cones, milkshakes, and waffles on their own. My daughter got the cupcake batter ice cream and loved the sprinkles throughout. I enjoyed my butter pecan ice cream so much and the lemon crunch was also a surprising fave. For me the combination of the sweet waffle and the sweet ice cream plus whipped cream and hazelnut drizzle and fresh strawberries ended up being too much for me. I would definitely share on an dessert date or limit my toppings in the future. However, everything was delicious and I would recommend this spit when in the mood for a unique sweet treat!

These waffles are made from a yeast dough similar to bread dough with pearl sugar mixed in that creates a caramelization when the waffle is cooked. They are thicker and richer in flavor than traditional Brussels waffles. Big League Waffles is located inside Morgan Street Food Hall. They are so delicious and I loved the ice cream on top!

What a treat I enjoyed when Andia and her husband George were at the Triangle Food & Wine…read moreExperience last weekend at The Exchange. She has such a wonderful personality and knows her ice cream. I was one of the first to enjoy her Gluten free Coffee ice cream with chopped up chocolate-covered espresso beans throughout. Then George took the cup of this delicious ice cream and torched it for a brulee finish. Amazing, indescribable, and I will be back for more soon kind of flavors! I have since checked out her flavor options and kick myself for not visiting her shop soon over at Iron Works. It is so close to where we live in downtown Raleigh. No more excuses. We are heading there this weekend for a Valentine's Day treat of one of her many boutique flavors. Plus I love that Andia truly cares about the Gluten Free population and offers so many wonderful-sounding flavors for them.

We can in for milkshakes…read more.. My wife and I stop by Andia's Ice Cream for milkshakes on a Saturday night at 7:30PM but, unfortunately the menu on the wall had sold out stickers on them. We decided to get ice cream in waffle cone since we couldn't get the milkshakes. I got the Cookies N Cream in a waffle cone My wife got the Cotton Candy in a waffle cone. The cookies N Cream was good but, the waffle cone was not. The waffle cones are the "softer" ones, i was expecting the classic crunchy waffle cone. I just ate the ice cream with a spoon out of the cone. The cotton candy was not good. It tasted like sugar free ice cream. Same thing with the waffle cone as I previously wrote. The service was great! The ambiance was nice. Not sure if we would go back, our favorite ice cream shop is in Durham and I would prefer to drive 30Min to that place. I would rate Andia's ice cream shop 5th in the Raleigh/Durham area for ice cream. *I would say give it a try I may love it.

A fantastic location of probably my favorite ice cream chain. Located in Cameron Village, this…read morelittle shop offers a ongst the best ice cream one can get. While the shop itself is small -- offering no indoor seating, though there are a couple small tables outside (and you can always just walk around in Cameron village -- the ice cream is expansive in both options and the flavor it packs. With a mix of classics and more unique flavor options, I have never once tried an option I did not truly enjoy, if anything they have often been amongst the best of that flavor I have even ever had. The ice cream is just so good, the texture, creaminess, and flavor profiles all incredibly well balanced. The shop itself is clean, well decorated, and inviting with a semblance to what you'd expect and desire from a classic ice cream shop. They even pay attention to the details, like using these fun metal spoons for tasting (highly suggested) instead of the typical flimsy plastic or wooden ones common in other shops, which are available for purchase. The staff was friendly, service was efficient. There is also some cool merch which is fun if you're into that stuff. Personally, I am not the biggest fan of their naming scheme for the options, instead of just having a single, double, or more straightforward menu options, they have names like "standard" which is actually 2 "half scoops" (quotes cause they're just small scoops), and then a single which is a single full scoop, or a trio which is 3 half scoops not full scoops, just overall a tad confusing and not straightforward in how much ice cream you are actually getting, though it does allow one to get multiple flavors more easily I guess? The prices are definitely leaning on the higher side, especially for pints, but I feel that is to be expected of "gourmet" ice cream shops, especially nowadays. Overall, I highly recommend for any and all ice cream lvoers, and will absolutely be returning myself.

Although the space is tiny, the desserts and cocktails more than make up for the line out front, and the noisy nature of downtown locations! There were 4 of us and we enjoyed the strawberry pretzel pie, derby pie, ice cream, coffee, and old fashioned. First of all, AMAZING cocktails- and an epic list of whiskeys, bourbons, and scotches. They've also got some custom beverages that you cannot find else. Super thumbs up for originality of cocktails, creative menu presentation, and speed of service! The derby pie was good- but I like mine with a denser filling. My friend enjoyed her strawberry pretzel pie, and the fact that not many places offer this on their menu. But, she said it was not as good as homemade. The gents in our party RAVED about how great Bittersweet's old fashioned drinks were! They said that these were definitely in the top three beverages they had ever had! This hole in the wall had a bridal party, some goth appearing folks, and suits too. In short, no matter what you like to drink, what you enjoy eating for dessert, you will find it here!
