There were several employees behind the counter who weren't really working just talking among themselves (even tho a line was forming) while one girl was working hard. I was feeling lazy to put in the effort so chose the MonkeyN around which consisted of banana slices & Nutella (Mix in) and whipped cream, Nutella drizzle, chopped hazelnuts and chocolate hazelnut pirouette. She seemed pretty disinterested in us and our order, and more into the family who was in line after us that while she was making ours a big chunk of the icecream fell off reducing one of my rolls into less than half haha.. They have around 15-20 options for toppings and mix-ins so there are so many possibilities of how you can make your ice cream. The establishment is also located in a food hall with other restaurants and food joints, so that was a plus as well. However, the wait can be very long due to the process, and I don't find it worthwhile to spend time in the lines. It was also very expensive for ice cream; I paid a little over $30 for three cups. I really do like Raleigh Rolls Ice cream. I have had them several times. This was the first time stopping by this location, the other times were from their food truck. They do have some restaurant creations, or you can create your own. You get three mix ins, and three toppings for each one. They make them right in front of you, and as it it labor intensive, the line can get long. I will say that I made the mistake of getting my daughter her own, because at $7.95 a cup, she wasted over half of it. I just chocked it up to a fun day out, and let it go. But i know for next time. Updating my review for 2021 because I wanted everyone to know how good their DAIRY FREE option is! It is made with soy and coconut milk and doesn't have any kind of weird taste. I did not the WTH reaction to it at all. The owner and his family are dairy free and you can tell he took his time tweaking the recipe to give it a great taste. I customized mine to have fresh strawberries and bananas mixed it and it was delicious! My kid got her fave S'mores and my hubby tried the flavor of the month which is cheesecake. The line is always long but it moved pretty quick. You can get your rolls in a cup or a taco. The menu rolls are $7 and the special rolls are $8. I decided to try the s'mores rolls. Graham crackers are crushed and put into the ice cream rolls as they are being made. The rolls are topped with chocolate sauce and a piece of a Hersey's bar, whipped cream, a graham cracker, and a roasted marshmallow that is torched when it is ordered. Overall it was good but I felt like the rolls needed more flavor. The staff was really friendly and funny. I may come back and try another flavor. read more

This place is a great spot to take the kids as long as you have enough time to wait. The concept requires about 5 minutes for each serving and often there is only one employee for a line of 5+. The employee has to work with the product the entire time so they can only do one at a time. The idea attracts families and children so often a mom will come in with 3 or 4 kids and you'll have a 20+ minute wait before you can even order. That said, the owner is really nice and the place is really clean. I think they try hard to accommodate all types of allergies so it is a great option for those types.
