Good ice cream , a little overpriced but understandable. The one with coffee ice cream was so good and had great texture, def recommend. Service was great!
If you are an ice cream lover this spot is for you. The s'mores was a hit with toasted marshmallow. I absolutely loved the chocolate overload, I am a huge m&m fan!!!!!
Raleigh Rolls is a solid place to get some ice cream. The experience is cool as you get to customize your order and watch the staff make it right in front of you. They have around 15-20 options for toppings and mix-ins so there are so many possibilities of how you can make your ice cream. The establishment is also located in a food hall with other restaurants and food joints, so that was a plus as well. However, the wait can be very long due to the process, and I don't find it worthwhile to spend time in the lines. It was also very expensive for ice cream; I paid a little over $30 for three cups. It was good ice cream and a nice experience, but I would not get it again given the possible wait times and high price.
Fresh rolled ice cream located in Downtown Raleigh, NC in Morgan Street Food Hall! this ice cream parlor in @morganstreetfoodhall offers fresh rolled ice cream, with dairy free options. my order favorites: Benelux Biscoffee: a biscoff cookie is mixed-in & @beneluxcoffee. it is topped with whipped cream & a biscoff cookie. SO good! Dairy Free Ice Cream Base: Coconut & Soy Milk. I made my own DIY DF banana sundae with sprinkles, strawberries, and chocolate syrup. Chocolate Overload: perfect for chocolate lovers!! topped with whipped cream, m&ms, and chocolate syrup. @raleighrolls offers fresh rolled ice cream with so many variations, including dairy-free & gluten-free options. checkout @raleighrolls in Downtown Raleigh, NC for the perfect ice cream spot made right in front of you. follow @gainsandglow for more glow code wellness adventures.
Delicious? Yes!!! If you go there you'll definitely need to wait in line if it's during the evening. Waited maybe 15-20 minutes before we could order. I ordered the Monkey N' Around with Oreos mixed in. I enjoyed the ice cream; however, there was not much of a banana flavor to it. It tasted pretty much just like a cookies n cream ice cream. Regardless, it was still pretty good.
This ice cream spot was the last on the list for my Mother's Day celebration. After a fun-filled and active day, what better way to close the day out than with some fresh and flavorful ice cream rolls? This ice cream shop is located in the Morgan Street Food Hall among a variety of restaurants and shops. It was very crowded in the Morgan Street Food Hall. We waited in line for a good amount of time before we got to order. There are a few selections of signature ice cream rolls, and you also have the option of making a custom ice cream roll with your favorite ingredients. A list of available ingredients and toppings is displayed. They prepare everything right in front of you, so you get to see the process. That was pretty cool. It was great watching them make the ice cream rolls. We ordered Grandma's Nanner Puddin and a berry custom made ice cream roll. They were creamy, smooth, and tasted great!
I've tried these fresh rolled ice-cream at other places, my first time trying it in Raleigh! You can choose your own mixins and toppings from the list. I was feeling lazy to put in the effort so chose the MonkeyN around which consisted of banana slices & Nutella (Mix in) and whipped cream, Nutella drizzle, chopped hazelnuts and chocolate hazelnut pirouette. We had to tell the lady making it our choice and she was started working on it. She seemed pretty disinterested in us and our order, and more into the family who was in line after us that while she was making ours a big chunk of the icecream fell off reducing one of my rolls into less than half haha.. I was watching intently. I must say it's a lot of effort to mix and make those rolls, so I definitely appreciate the work she put in.
I love rolled ice cream! I've been to Raleigh Rolls a couple of times and they never disappoint! The ice cream is creamy and delicious and I love the toppings. The line is always long every time I go there and it moves a little slow because of the whole process of rolling the ice cream and adding the toppings. It's a fun concept and you get to watch them making it. During my last visit I tried the Strawberry Tempura (a collaboration between Raleigh Rolls and a Japanese restaurant called Kanki) and it was amazing! You can also choose one of the signature flavors from the "our flavors" section or make your own flavor (3 ingredients for a mix in + 3 toppings). The menu says that they have dairy-free and gluten-free topping options. Location: It's located inside the Morgan Street Food Hall. Parking: Street parking (very limited).
Raleigh Rolls is a must visit when at Morgan St Food Hall. The rolls are irresistible and really tasty. This was my first time trying rolled ice cream and I enjoyed it. There is a set menu when you arrive and an option for Dairy-Free which is coconut milk based. I decided on the Grandma's Nanner Puddin and added walnuts to the inside. It comes with Bananas, vanilla ice cream, 3 Nilla wafers and whipped cream. My daughter enjoyed the S'mores with a marshmallow, a real mini Hershey bar and graham crackers. My bestie had a biscotti flavored one. The ice cream was very light and the toppings were awesome. Customer service was excellent.
Updating my review for 2021 because I wanted everyone to know how good their DAIRY FREE option is! It is made with soy and coconut milk and doesn't have any kind of weird taste. I did not the WTH reaction to it at all. The owner and his family are dairy free and you can tell he took his time tweaking the recipe to give it a great taste. I customized mine to have fresh strawberries and bananas mixed it and it was delicious! My kid got her fave S'mores and my hubby tried the flavor of the month which is cheesecake. He got Oreo cookies mixed in and it looked so yummy! Ice cream in February on a cold day was doable because Morgan Street Food Hall has heaters outside!
I got the banana pudding inspired rolls and although it looked really cute and the worker took her time and really personalized my order...the ice cream just didn't do it for me. It was flavorless but that's probably because of the liquid (maybe heavy cream or melted ice cream) that is used. Nonetheless, it's worth a try if you don't like things that are too sweet!
Check out this little location in the Food Hall! You won't be sorry! The actual ice cream is challenging for kiddos who have a need for additional supports in dexterity. Overall a good experience.
Kids always want ice cream and was recommended to come out and check it out. Prices - A bit high but it's worth the experience to have the kids watch how the ice cream rolls are made. Ice cream - The process and quality of the ingredients look to be fresh, and tasteful. The presentation is awesome and the available options are great also. Staff - Very laid back employees, could use some more hyped up employees but other than that it was cool. Venue - Its located inside the food court of this eating place that offers all kinds of food and are throwing. Overall it's worth checking out and I would be back.

Super neat and super sweet treat! It's so unique to watch the ice cream rolls being made. They come in so many flavors. They can add ao many delicious ingredients to make it to order. Taste just like ice cream, just comes in a frozen roll with toppings or even a ice cream taco! Delicious and brilliant! read more
This place is a great spot to take the kids as long as you have enough time to wait. The concept requires about 5 minutes for each serving and often there is only one employee for a line of 5+. The employee has to work with the product the entire time so they can only do one at a time. The idea attracts families and children so often a mom will come in with 3 or 4 kids and you'll have a 20+ minute wait before you can even order. That said, the owner is really nice and the place is really clean. I think they try hard to accommodate all types of allergies so it is a great option for those types. They have some well thought out combination dishes of ice cream, sweets like chocolate and caramel, and toppings such as marshmallows, strawberries, etc. read more

What a combination, Biscoff cookies and Benelux coffee are the best. It's so irresistible that I want to try their other flavors. Parking: It was challenging and not to mention it was quiet pricey. Restroom: There's inside Morgan Street Food Hall. It wasn't clean! There were no toilet paper, soap and tissue. read more

I was not a fan of this place. The ice cream was hard and dry. It was not creamy at all which is really sad considering most people who want ice cream want creamy. The roll idea was pretty good but also very weird to eat. You can literally see in the picture how it was already cracking and crumbling before we even put a spoon in it. Maybe the ice cream was old? Maybe they rolled it too thin? I'm honestly not sure but if you're paying that much for ice cream then it shouldn't be a crumbled mess. I've also never seen an orange colored vanilla. Who knows. Weird experience read more

I'm personally not a fan of rolled ice cream, but partner is so I'm reviewing on his behalf. He loves mix ins and toppings and was not disappointed! Line was long, but he said was worth the wait. He said ice cream part was solid performance, albeit vanilla. read more

I've had rolled ice cream in Thailand so was excited to try this place. The ice cream was good, not great. It's definitely worth trying for the experience and the photo, but I'll probably not go back. It's very expensive for starters ($7-$8), although you get a good amount of ice cream. My friend and I came in on a Monday night and it was a little busy (concert at Red Hat). The Food Hall has only been open a week at this point. There were probably 4 people ahead of us in line and we waited about 10 minutes just to order. Then, after ordering, it took 18 MINUTES to get my order. 18 minutes. There has to be a better way to do this whole process. I think they were short staffed, but it was still not very efficient. Also one of the staff stopped prepping the order she was working on to check her text messages with her gloves on and then went back to making the orders. If they can get on a better system with taking orders and efficiently working through them it will be a better experience. I can't imagine this place on a busy Friday or Saturday if it stays like this. YIKES. read more

Raleigh Rolls is so good and unique! You can have one of their prescribed recipes or make your own. I made my own! They make it right there in front of you using fresh ingredients! And the ice cream theY use is sooooo incredibly creamy and has a great flavor, unless the other rolled ice cream place I have been to. Caleb, the guy who made my ice cream was soo ice and engaging! Service was on point! Food was on point! Totally recommend this place in the Morgan Street Food Hall! read more

It's different something definitely worth trying. Really liked the chocolate overload Taco . It had all of my favorite toppings oreo roll with m&ms and pirouline. Chocolate overload was default on the menu but they have options to build your own roll as well.It is a bit on the expensive side 8.79$ with the taco (waffle cone shaped like a taco) and 7$ in a bowl. Located in morgan street food hall in downtown Raleigh with plenty of street parking available but on weekends it can be pretty hard to find parking. read more

This was my first experience trying rolled ice cream and I was not disappointed. The wait was long but every staff member was genuinely upbeat and friendly, which made it even more fun to watch. I had a biscoff cookie and Nutella icream topped with another biscoff cookie, more Nutella and a roasted marshmallow! Yea the roasted a marshmallow on the spot with a torch and it was fantastic. I would highly recommend this place, it may be a a hectic spot with hard to find parking, but it is well worth it! read more

If you're looking for Instagram worthy ice cream this is definitely the place to come. Although, the ice cream itself really didn't have any flavor. I got the chocolate overload which is definitely loaded with toppings which give it flavor, but the ice cream itself tasted so bland. My family got the s'mores and the biscoffee which also didn't have much flavor. As I said earlier, the toppings made it good hence why I am giving it 3 stars still. It was aesthetically pleasing which is also a plus! read more

Wow! Rolled ice cream is such a cool concept and I have never had it til now. We stopped in the other day and ordered the pumpkin pie special in a waffle cone taco, the chocolate overload, and s'mores in a waffle cone taco. Whenever I thought of rolled ice cream, I imagined another Instagram food trend that was aesthetically pleasing and creative but totally lacking in the taste and/or quality department. Raleigh Rolls definitely changed my mind about that! The ice cream was creamy, tasted great, and we loved the addition of the torched marshmallow on the s'mores rolls. Ramy was the one who helped us out and he was very nice! I believe their menu items range between $7-$10 which isn't bad for being in the food hall. Their lines can get crazy long though, and they move pretty slowly because of the process of creating each rolled ice cream individually. But that's what makes the experience so awesome! All that being said, I give this place 5 stars. Because it's in Morgan Street Food Hall, it's needless to say that parking may be hard to find depending on the time and day you go but if you find yourself here I would recommend giving it a try! read more
