Service was quick. Maybe too quick. What am I supposed to do with this, eat nothing but a spoonful of sprinkles. Why wasn't it mixed in as they ALWAYS mix, get employees who aren't lazy. As I tried to mix, a shit on of sprinkles fell on my car floor. Not happy.

It was a beautiful fall day so we decided to stop and get some frozen custard at Goodberrys. I had my boys with me so I opted for something basic vanilla with sprinkles but sometimes basic is best! You walk up and order at the window and it only took a minute and then our order was up. They noticed I had young kids with me and offered me extra spoons, a cup and napkins. It was a delicious sweet treat for a warm day! I love this location because it has ample seating both on the patio and in the grassy area to the left.

Goodberry's in Wake Forest, NC, has the most flavorful and creamy frozen custard! Service with a smile! Visit: www.foodbloggernc.com for a full review and tasty photos.

Regular Chocolate shake with chocolate chips

If you're visiting Raleigh/Wake Forest you need to try Goodberry's! It's our local frozen custard place and we love it! It's so creamy and I love trying all the different flavors each day. My favorite 'flavors of the day' are raspberry, blueberry, banana pudding and choc chip cookie dough! My husband loves the regular chocolate! If you haven't been there before here's how it works: they only have chocolate, regular vanilla, no-sugar-added vanilla and the 'flavor of the day'. You can add any topping to the regular flavors and they will mix it for you. For example, if you want strawberry flavor, get the vanilla custard mixed with fresh strawberries. I like making mine with the vanilla custard and choc chip lightly mixed (their choc chip is melted chocolate that will get hard when mixed with the cold custard). I also like chocolate shake with chocolate chips and vanilla custard with brownies mixed in and hot fudge on top. Yum! To know the 'flavor of the day' you can check the calendar at the window or go online to their website. They have different cups sizes, regular cones and chocolate dipped cones with sprinkles (my favorite!). You can also choose shakes or the specialty sundaes (I recommend the Brownie sundae). - You can try some of the custard before ordering. They will give you a little sample. - If they get your order wrong, just let them know and they will get you a new one or add what's missing.

Time for some ice cream

It was a cute little spot, but my strawberry shortcake was nothing special. It was meh --not good not bad and honestly nothing special. We bought 5 ice creams as no one really raves about it. It was ice cream -- the end!

Soft creamy desserts. A must try if you're visiting the east coast and especially around Raleigh. We got to know about the place on the last day of our Raleigh and had to give it a try. Totally worth it and there is always flavor of the day. So we tried the Nutella day and also got a frozen pint of cookies and cream.

Doing low carb means doing without ice cream.... The struggle is real! Luckily, Goodberry's does no sugar added vanilla. Order a mini concrete, have them mix in strawberries and you've got a reasonable substitute for ice cream at about 10 carbs. It's no cherry garcia or chunky monkey. But the no sugar added is actually really good.

Warm brownie sundae

I was disappointed that I had to end up throwing my sundae away. There was one employee working. He was very pleasant but he did not wear gloves when preparing my sundae. His hands and nails were visibly dirty and I really lost my appetite when he reached for the sprinkles to put on top of my sundae. I wish I had the option of paying after the service because I would have walked off. A total waste of $8.

I was really shocked this ice cream spot wasn't busier than it was! There were two staff members working the night we went and they were so friendly. We loved the nostalgic atmosphere so much, we ended up "dining in". I really like the blessing board they have posted, too.

The girl Grace took my order, then proceeded to be scooping the wrong ice-cream for my husband's milkshake (who is home recovering from surgery and wanted a milkshake). Then Grace disappears for about 5 minutes or so. Now mind you I had also had already waited in line for about 25 minutes. I am disabled and still went out to get my husband a milkshake. We'll after waiting for Grace to come back. She tells me that they are out of milkshake lids and no more milkshakes. They didn't announce it to everyone, just me. They could have used a soda lid. So now she messed up on the flavor of the milkshake and now no milkshakes supposedly. Then she had the nerve to tell the owner that I yelled at her and slammed their door when I left. It was freaking hot outside and in the heat, doors expand and makes it harder to close. So give me a break! They never have managers there either. My family and I have been coming there for at least 4 years. And now after I get this holier than thou message from supposedly the owner. They have definitely lost my business. I don't need lies told to me or religion down my throat. Here is the message from the Owner to me: "Hello Jennifer, I've taken some time to ponder over your message before responding. Our little business means the world to me and we never aim to do anything that will make people unhappy and ultimately nothing that would make God unhappy with us. Last night I received a message from the girls at the shop that they had run out of milkshake lids and a customer had slammed the door and left. I quickly responded with several suggestions of what they might have done to prevent that because, as I mentioned, we aim to please! I was disappointed that they hadn't, in the moment, seen another solution. Then I got your message and my perception of the situation shifted. It is heartbreaking to hear that someone who professes to be regular supporters of our business would vow to never return over one negative experience. Of course we wanted you to be able to enjoy a sweet treat especially in times of sickness and recovery, that's what we are here for! I've spoken with Grace and in her words she was "shaken up" and "wished she had thought of a solution sooner." To which I responded, "It's hard to problem solve when you're being yelled at." And that's what it comes down to, doesn't it? I don't know of many people how are able to see a clear soluntion to a problem when they are being yelled at, especially children. The message that you are presenting to the world on your FB page is Do unto others as you would want them to do unto you. And Never Judge anyone till you know all the facts. It is my opinion that in a moment of weakness you forgot to live by those words. I'm sorry for your trials. I have them too! You are not perfect and neither am I. Should I have been better stocked with milkshake lids, absolutely! Should you have treated others with more kindess, 100%! Things could have gone differently last night. I believe that you could have made it home with that milkshake for your husband if you had had just a bit of grace for Grace." Instead of solving the situation, the owner made it look like it was my fault they were out of lids and that it was my fault for everything. Excuse me? No as a worker at an establishment, you find solutions. Grace chose to work there. I didn't yell and I didn't slam the damn door. Unless the owner was there, NEVER MAKE ASSUMPTIONS AND THE OWNER HAD NO RIGHT THROWING RELIGION IN MY FACE!!

12 years ago, I went to the flea market at the fairgrounds. It was hot. It was swamp-crotch-hot…read more I went to the Scoops concession stand to get a bottle of water. I think the water was like $2.00. I handed the attendant over a $20.00 bill and walked off. I got a ways off before I realized I had walked off without getting my change. I went back to the stand and explained that I had exchanged a $20 for the bottle of water and needed my change back. The attendant listened to my account of the event, and then informed me that she couldn't be sure that I had given her a $20.00 or not, wondered aloud how she was supposed to know I wasn't try to scam her, and that she would not return $18.00 from my alleged change. She said to call to the store to see if the drawer was over $18.00 I called the store on Monday. The manager said they didn't even know what I was talking about. $18.00 to a 19 year old kid who lives off a 35/40 hour minimum wage job, on their own, is a fortune. Do you have any idea how many forties that is? I have never forgotten that Scoops representative's cynicism towards humanity. How was she supposed to know I wasn't trying to scam her? I dunno, how am I supposed to know every stranger I pass by isn't some scumbag who will lie, cheat, steal, assault their way to the top--handful of eighteen dollars by handful of eighteen dollars? How am I supposed to know if everyone I don't know personally isn't trying to screw me over randomly, and so elaborately? Maybe that Scoops representative was right--human beings ARE nasty and brutish AND it is safe to assume so when dealing with their customers. It makes me sad to think that is true, but hey, according to that Scoops representative, that is life. That bottle of water was good though.
